I've HAD it with this store. Two separate times I've brought very nice, almost new clothes and had the employee tell me they were too worn. Yesterday I went and the same thing happened. I stood my ground and said to her, you're telling me I won't find any other items in the store that are more 'worn' than mine? She had a snippy response that there was a possibility. I told her I was going to go look and I'd be back. I proceeded to go through the cramped space and look for more jeans (in particular) that were 'worn'. I found over 10 pair that were in horrible condition so I took them to her and laid them on the counter along with mine for comparison. She actually said mine were more worn!!! This girl is CRAZY!!!!!! I asked another employee for the owners number and she gave it to me (she gave me the number for the store I was in). I walked outside to call and guess who answered....the same one that gave me the number. I said you mean you gave me this number instead of telling me the owner wasn't in but I could call the store later? She mumbled some incoherent answer in the phone.

TWICE BURNED.......NEVER AGAIN.....I'D RATHER GIVE MY CLOTHES TO GOODWILL OR SALVATION ARMY THAN DEAL WITH SUCH CRAPPY ATTITUDES!!!!!!!!

I'd suggest no one darken the doors of this place again!!

Can not say enough about this store. My grandkids grow like weeds. OUAC has helped us keep decent clothes on their backs despite this economy. Staff are very helpful and friendly!

I have mixed feelings about Once Upon a Child. They always have a good, large variety of gently used & even new clothes for children of all ages. However, they are in a cramped space, so they cannot take winter clothes during winter, or summer clothes during summer. Often, you will be turned away if you don't have the "right" type of clothes they are willing to purchase. The store will buy your gently used kids' clothes & toys. They pay you just under 50% of the cost they will sell it for. You can get cash on the spot, but will receive more if you accept in-store credit.

PROS: Receive cash for selling your kids' gently used clothing & toys
CONS: They are picky about the type of clothing they'll accept during the year.
