They have great pricing. A fraction of the price you would pay at other places. The employees are very nice and helpful. We bought some bushes last weekend and went back today to pick up more. Well worth the trip. Take a truck you will need it

I bought 12 trees ranging from 8-14' for less than $500. That's 1/3 of the price at 4 other nursery/garden centers I priced. I called Adam 919-669-6609 to order, and Sam 919-669-2894 for delivery and planting. 100% satisfied with everything. Our family is planning our next trip to the nursery just to pick up a few more 3 gal. plants(3.50) and to feed the peacocks.

Not to sound abrupt, but at these prices, and with their track record, a guarantee is virtually UNNECESSARY! Bought a 15-foot river birch there two years ago for $40 and the tree is now almost 30 feet tall and gorgeous. Word to the wise, think 2-5 year ahead when planting anything. I see so many nice trees that are now rubbing people's houses because they did not think ahead. These become bad of the house, and good for the bugs trying to get into your house. Just my $0.02.

called the local telephone number. Only an answering machine answered that wouldn't let me leave a message. Only wanted to inquire about there guarantee policy and if they had a guarantee policy.

Great place! I got 2 Crape Myrtle trees that were 8-10 feet tall for only $75. Way below any other nursery's price!

Broadwell's was well worth the drive to angier! Last spring we got 2 8ft river birch's, 3 8ft weeping willows, and 8 3ft hydrangeas for $75. Everything was then directly planted in double sized holes in our red clay yard with half a bag of tree and shrub planting mix, then mulched. 1 year later everything has doubled in size, the hydrangeas bloomed all summer and fall. I can't wait to go back this spring. They grow on site, so the majority of what they have is basic landscape trees and shrubs. Everything was very hearty. They also have ?6? greenhouses with things like clematis, japanese maples, and other more tender plantings also at great prices. They took a check, and we had a truck because we knew they don't deliver. All in all, we had a great time shopping there!

I had a truck, and got 13 trees, when I moved into my new house. What a great deal. You really should know what you are looking for. Two of my Dogwoods out of five didn't make it . Most likely planting the wrong time of year, but when I went back to buy some more shrubs, I told them about my Dogwood ,they told me to pick out two at no charge. I was thrilled and love the place.I recommend it to all my new neighbors moving into our development.

i truly enjoy my experience at Broadwell's. Since my 1st visit, i have been back 5 times since. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are definitely the best around. That's why i drive from Raleigh.

I am really glad to hear that their are other people like us who have found Broadwells, for it is a fantastic place to purchase foundation plantings. Their prices just CANNOT be beat , but their service and employees are fantastic as well. On more than one occasion, they have driven me around the property to answer questions, help plan my attack and give advice. They are always happy to see us and remember our family! We will be back for years to come and always recommend them to everyone we meet who is interested in planting.

I just picked up 5 "Green Giant" trees for less than 75$ at Broadwells - I priced them at 30$ each for a 20" tree at a national chain, so I'm enjoying a 50% savings Not only did Broadwells beat the price, but the tree I received were twice the size (mine are 48").

I heard Saturdays were a crazy busy day day on Sat, but it was the only day I could go. We arrived there around 4 and there was a very nice lady to tell us exacly where each items were located and the prices for each...

It did help to know what we wanted beforehand - so we could grab and go,. If you don't know or if you don't know what plants do what, it can be overwhelming ...

So do a little research, make a list, and get to Broadwells

If you are willing to spend around 30 extra minutes driving (depending on where you're coming from), then Broadwell's plant nursery...or should I say Plant Farm (it's so huge - I'm guessing around 30 - 40 acres) is a destination you don't want to miss!

Sure, you have numerous choices in the Triangle from which to purchase plants and trees...not to mention the big places like Lowes and Home Depot, and of course you have some of the well established nurseries around...but you're gonna pay for that name and location. But if buying items at perhaps the least expensive rates around...then Broadwell's is the place for you (and I mean cheap...which you'll soon discover once you arrive).

For example, last year I saw a Japanese Maple tree that I just had to have, but with its size, I had assumed it would be $200 easy...but when I got to the part where the guy tells you the price (I swear, I think they make these things up as they go along), I was taken aback to hear that it was only $25.00 - go figure.

They certainly appear to have little overhead so it seems, and yes...there are ample migrant workers who work very hard. You have to drive through the various areas to look for the trees and the buildings are old - but mannnnn, those bargains. I've found Tulip Magnolias, plenty of Bald Cypress trees, and a host of other shrubs and trees and for all of 'em (which packed the back of my pickup truck, I paid no more than $100.00 total.

So if you get a chance...run, don't walk - to check them out. Reminds you of the good ole' days when a bargain was a bargain.

And oh yes, the drive is quite scenic also - real rural...a delight for the eyes and senses.

Good luck...I know I'm going back soon!

Broadwell's is a family run business. Most of the plants you find there are common in landscaping and priced at wholesale prices. In the fall they have huge ball and burlap trees. Many of the plants are not labelled, so you need to know what you are looking for, you will also have to find someone to tell you prices. I recommend going during the week, Sat. is just too hectic.

This is a great place to buy trees and plants. There prices are outstanding but the selection is limited. If you are interested in getting trees be sure to call and order in advance.

Broadwell's Nursery is an excellent place for anyone who is looking for great bargains on landscaping plants. The prices you pay there are much less than what you might pay at a big-name home improvement center. Comparitively, the plants you buy at Broadwell's are much larger and more mature. Because of their low prices seasonal flowers go quickly. When you go there make sure you take your truck or station wagon - there are so many bargains you definitely won't come home empty-handed!

Ditto on everything Dennis K said. In addition I have to tell you by nature I am a serial plant murderer. ALL 40+ plants from Broadwells survived and are doing super good. Same year everything from Lowes died as usual :-(...made me know

I rarely - if ever - take the time to write a review on a commercial establishment, however in this case I am compelled to do so! Broadwell Nursery is one of the Greater RDU "best kept secrets" and is a must for anyone wanting to

They may not return calls as some claim, have a price list or website that lists inventory, but this is what keeps their prices low. I bought shrubs and trees at more than half the price Lowes or Home Depot charge. The Hispanic workers are friendly and will pack your trailer or truck at no extra cost. I'll be going back as their inventory changes throughout the year.

Pros: Best prices for shrubs and tress

Broadwell's Nursery is a true goldmine!
I was amazed. We drove up and just started looking around. They don't have a huge selection but they have 100's - 1000's of of each plant that they do have. I bought 3'-4' Hollies in pots for $10. 7'-8' ball and burlaped Cypress for $40 and 8'-10' ball and burlap Crape Myrtle's for $40. Nothing is marked so ask before or after you pick it up. Worth the drive!
