I was shocked at the attitude of the staff working at The Party Shop in Cameron Village. This is not the same place I have shopped many times before. I am very disappointed in the customer service. I will choose other party supply

I have shopped at The Party Shop for years, but have finally had enough of the very unhelpful sales clerks, high prices, ridiculous return policies, and various other "tricks" that take advantage of the customer. I started out appreciating their selection, but often left the store feeling I'd overpaid or had been tricked somehow. I usually like to support local stores, but with the availability through other stores and the Internet, I see no reason to support them when they obviously do not appreciate their customers. Also, they state a 12 day return policy - but the unwritten rules really mean they basically do not accept anything for return - all sales should be considered final.

The conveniece of this store for those of us who live inside the beltline is far outweighed by all of the negatives about this store. The two women who work in this store are the most rude persons whom I have ever met - and their poor customer service skills really impact your shopping experience. My family was shopping in this store with approximately $75 worth of merchandise ready to purchase when one of the sales associates told me that I could not take photos in the store - when I tried to use my camera phone to take a picture of my 86 year old grandmother who was visiting us from out of town. My family (5 adults over 55, and me - a 32 year old professional) was astonished when this non-posted "policy" was conveyed so rudely. I also visited the store one week ago looking for a particular type of party plates and received a rude response when I inquired about the product. Further, the store is disorganized and overpriced. I will never shop here again.

Pros: NONE

Cons: There are too many cons to list

I just went into this store for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was going to be like any other typical party supply store, but I was wrong! In the two large rooms are every type of party supply imaginable--much of it that I've never seen before in the chain party stores. I highly recommend this store if you're looking for some unique party supplies.
