I have been a loyal customer of the Sogo chain in Concord for almost 10 years. There is a VAST and MAJOR negative difference in the level of customer service when comparing today with even 5 years ago. I ate at their Sogo Express IV

My husband and I love Sogo. Their food is delicious, the chefs are always entertaining and they have large enough servings that we always have an extra meal to take home - what a great value for the money! We've been to several Japanese restaurants in the Charlotte area and always end up returning to Sogo as our favorite. Any time we have guests in from out of town, it's at the top of the list of places to take them to eat.

My whole family LOVES Sogo! The food is excellent and most of the chef's are entertaining. There are a few who aren't so great, but the food makes up for it!

I normally go to So express which is inside the mall. However, I ordered food from this restaurant one time because the mall restaurant was closed. I assumed I would get the same type of food as the mall since it's owned by the same person. was AMAZED by the difference! The mall food is fresh and cheap (I normally spend about $12 for a 2-people meal). At Sogo main, I spent $30!...and that's not enough. The food wasn't as fresh and they try to justify the high price by including a salad (which is basically lettuce chopped in big chunks) and soup (which is plain water flavored with onion). So if you have to go to a Sogo, I recommend going to the one in the mall and not this one.

Pros: The sister restaurant has great food

Cons: Food is not all that and is over-priced

We have been to Sogo's a few times. The food is excellent and I know I will always have leftovers. Most of the chefs are very entertaining but there are a couple that are blah which is the only reason they didn't get and outstanding mark. Food wise PERFECT!

We eat at Sogo's all the time! We like to go for the "Early Bird Special" which is from 5-6:30 nightly. You can share a combination dinner and it's much cheaper! I love the hibachi style and the food is always great!

Sogo's is a wonderful place to go. Expect a wait, because they are usually very busy, but the food is excellent. Prices are a little high, but with the "show" you get while the food is being cook, plus the quality of the food, it is well worth it.

It was my first time there at Sogos and it was very nice. I love the place. The service was great. I had plenty of food and it was so good. The shrimp sauce tasted just right. Most places has bad shrimp sauce. The chef was great. He did a great show and had good conversation with the customers. The wait was long but it was worth it i mean...when you go to any restaurant you would have to wait for a long time. When you go to Japanese Restaurant you got to have patience because you going to be waiting in line and even sitting for at least 30-40 min for the food to be cook. The managers Phan and Tran was really nice. If anybody wants to have a good time with their family you must go eat at Sogos. I've been to Ichiban, and Yamayi but, they're not even close to Sogo.

Sogo used to be a very good place to eat. But when they sold out,the new owner's aren't very good at anything. The food is nowhere near as good as it was.the service has taken a dive also.Your so-called ""chefs"" act like the don't have a clue as to how to cook.I eat here when the other places are closed.

Pros: prices and parking are the same

Cons: new owners, food and servive have gone downhill.....in a bad way.
