The Baptism class here was the most amazing experience - the theme of faith making sense was very powerful. I have never heard it this way and wish I had this experience early in my life. Deacon Hamrlik did an excellent job in explaining the sacrament. I am a better parent.

The most difficult part of life is death. the priests at this church are helpful and caring with this delicate journey from the last part of life to the portal of death and point the way to the Light of God and life after death.

St. Matthews is my home away from home. I've become apart of ministries that I truly love and have met tons of awesome people. I'm only a teenager, but I feel that I am as close to God as I possibly can be!! The priests are a lot of fun, and I know that I can come to any one of them with a question. People always say that St. Matthews is too big- but I look at that as a positive point. There are lots of friendly people and something for everyone to be apart of at St. Matt's. BEST CHURCH EVER!!

Wow, I TOTALLY disagree with the previous reviewer about the preists being unengaged and apathetic. I recently had a baby die and Father Toole rushed to the hospital VERY early in the morning to do a baptism, I'm certain my husband woke him up, and could not have been sweeter. He also did the burial service. I absolutely love him and all the other preists at St Matthews too.

St. Matthews church is very large and impersonal. The priests are unengaged and apathetic. We have attended since we came down here 4 years ago and we have been involved in lots of activities at the church. We are disappointed that the fact that the Monsignor is as removed from the church and the parishioners as the Pope. It would be easier to get an audience with the Pope. We came from a large city in Long Island, NY and the priests made an effort to get to know the parishioners. The priests here do not and it's a shame. We were in denial but so many of our friends have left the Catholic church down here for more meaningful worship elsewhere, and we now understand why. Everyone has their own opinion but after accidentally coming across the favorable reports, I felt compelled to share a different perspective.

I am a parishioner of St. Mathews for some time. Its a wonderful community of people who love the Lord and the community.

The congregation is alive with the Holy Spirit. Masses are such powerful experience steeped in worship, praise and thanksgiving.

This has been my church for over 10 years now since moving from NJ and I absolutely love it. It is a beautiful church, with loving families, and priests that care about the people. I was married there, and have had both of my kids baptized there by Mnsr. McSweeney who truly cares about the families. The music is outstanding, there are countless things to join and be a part of, and tons of different times for church!
