Don't go there expecting normal restaurant service. You order from a counter, and pay before you receive your food, which is not terribly unusual from a typical fast food joint. However when you use a card to purchase there is a tip field,

My family has eaten Due Amici's salads, sandwiches and pizzas for years now. They're very popular (very busy at dinnertime ) - because their food is always great. The prices are a value for the generous portions and taste. Slices and whole pizzas are very large.

My personal favorite is their Greek salad with dressing on the side. The salad is large enough for a meal, but sometimes I eat half and also order a slice.
The Italian ices are a great, healthy summertime treat for kids.

Very convenient on Prosperity Church Road. I highly recommend giving them a try. For pickup - call ahead!

We moved to Charlotte just over 3 years ago and was told by a new co-worker that this was the place for pizza. Coming from NY, I guess you can call me a pizza snob. This place is like being back in Brooklyn, without the attitude. The antipasto salad and any pizza they have created will satisfy anyone. There is no other place for pizza now in Charlotte for my money. Go, enjoy and you'll be extermely glad you went.

They have great pizza and for those who aren't in the mood for pizza, the other Italian dishes are also excellent. I have never had a bad meal here. Highly recommended.

Wow, that's a pizza!... When you walk through the door, the aroma transports you to a family style pizzeria from the old neighborhood.. The fried calamari with their home made red sauce is delicious.. The calamari is very tender. The riceballs or arancini are out of this world, not something you find at any other pizzeria. Their pizza is thin and crisp, just like I remember back in Queens NY. Being of Italian descent I'm not often impressed with Italian restaurant food, but, Due Amici is truly the real deal.. The owners and staff are very warm and friendly and their prices won't hurt your wallet. If you want an Italian dining experience, we highly recommend this restaurant.

By FAR the best pizza place in all of Charlotte. Coming from NY, we have high standards for our pizza, and nobody in the area does it better. The owners are fabulous, the service is great, and the Caprese slice is a little piece of heaven!

Growing up in NJ, I am thrilled with Due Amici and their pizza. I have always been very happy with the pizza and was delighted to find they did garlic as a topping (must be a northern thing!) My only complaints is that they are not open on Sundays and don't deliver, but it is worth it to pick it up versus what you get from delivery places.

My favorite NY style pizza place in the area. You can order by the slice or a whole pie, which is great when everyone wants something different on their pie. Great place to stop in for lunch and don't forget your Italian Ice on the way out.

We always order the Large Cheese pizza and my kids love the huge slices and will eat two of them all by themselves. We are from here so I can't say if this is NY pizza or not. I can tell you it is better than any chain pizza anyday. Service is fast, friendly and the restaurant is always clean. Always busy so we pickup our pizza to go.

I love this place. The portions are huge and the food is delicious.

The only change I would suggest is to make the salads smaller. The Side salad is huge and is mainly just a huge portion of lettuce...)

This just feels and tastes like a NY Pizzeria...and the prices are reasonable for the size of the pizza.

They only do pick up, but for those of us in the Highland Creek Area- if you want good pizza, you gotta go for the Due Amici's. Other than Ciro's up in University City...this is the only place to go in North Charlotte.

Price was too high and when I politely asked if the price was correct, he said that if I bought a car with leather seats, I'd have to pay extra. Took my money with no thank you or even saying anything. I've been to New York many times and never had a pizza like this. We went there as recommended by this site. I guess that whoever ate here was lucky. We will not be back. There are too many pizza places around where I can get the same service and quality for lower prices.

This is now my 3rd time going to Due Amici's. ..love it! Actually the first time I came, I decided to be adventurous and order a chicken parmesan pizza slice. For some reason, I didn't think I was going to like the plain cheese slice, because in many other pizzerias in town, the plain cheese slices are kind of bland. Nevertheless, I tried the chicken parmesan pizza and was not impressed. It tasted as though it had been sitting out a while, even though it had been reheated. However, I decided to return and stick with the classic cheese and pepporoni slices. This place is by far the best NY style pizza in Charlotte! Next time I plan to try the chicken parmesan entree and garlic knots. The look very good!

I love this place, this is the closest to New Jersey style pizza I have found here in Charlotte. The entrees are just as good! Only thing I would recommend is that the zeppoli be cooked to order, reheating them ruins it.

Best pizza in charlotte. Wide variety, cooked to order and DELICIOUS. I would recommend this place to anyone. The guy who said it was bad must have been stuffing it in his a$$ trying to taste it.

You can count on every meal to be excellent and it will leave you wanting to come back for more. They have even added Gino's Italian Ice's for the true New York finishing touches. I have been bringing my family to eat at Due Amici's since the day they opened their door and would go out of my way to continue going. Paul and his staff go out of their way to make sure each customer is served high quality meals with terrific customer service. I would highly recommend Due Amici's, there is never a bad time to go and we have NEVER had a bad pizza.

What an oddity? After having the privilege of traveling the country, it is a great welcome to come home to Charlotte and indulge in one of the finest cuisines around for great Italian food. Everything on the menu leaves the customer with great portions to fill any appetite and a taste that keeps him longing for the next time he can come back. Whether you're a regular for "Friday Pizza Night" or visiting from out of town, Due Amici will satisfy your desire for great taste and service. The staff is eager to please and it is exciting to know that the owners are from Italy and prepare the menu with the care and effort of the "Old Country". It is hard to pass up the pizza, but everything you order is awesome so sharing entrees and a pizza is highly recommended to get a true taste of this rare gem. It is a casual dining experience with a high end restaurant flavor to the food.

We used to love this place, but obviously management has changed. We got a pizza last week that had almost no sauce on it. We figured it was a one time thing. Tonight my wife picked up another $15 pizza and lo and behold, next to no sauce. When I called to complain I was called a liar by the manager and told that there was plenty of sauce. I offered to drive this pizza back to him and have him point it out and he again said that I was "mistaken" and there was plenty of sauce on it. When I said no there was not I got hung up on. Never again.

I was born and raised in NYC. This pizza reminds me of running to the corner pizza store and getting a slice. It is simply excellent pizza. Who looks for atmosphere or live bands or an eye pleasing kitchen when they are looking for a good slice of pizza? Give me a break. You want a fantastic piece of pizza or a great sicilian......check them out!!! PS...If its crowded then that means your pizza is even fresher. Take it to go and bon appetite!!!!!!!!!!
