Both our sons, K and 2nd grade love going to school. They are excited about learning, come home and sing songs they have learned, show off their school work, and enjoy their classmates. Their teachers teach with love. A Bible based curriculum which was a must for our family which lines up with their program. They pray in school, learn and recite scripture, and are taught about the Lord Jesus. We are very happy with our choice in schools.

GRACE is working on building their athletics department/equipment etc, wish it were there sooner.

BTW, progress reports are provided regularly - not sure where that comment came from in another review.

Pros: Wonderful teachers, Christ-centered education

Cons: Athletics

Staff clearly loves students and the Lord. Limited technology usage and no progress reports. Grading scale seems unrealistic.

Our son has attended Grace for three years now. We have found the teachers to be superb! They have such a truly amazing faith and love to teach! I am pleased with the high academic standards set forth for the children, coupled with a reasonable amount of homework. I like the size of the classes, and feel it allows the tachers to provide enough attention to struggling students at this level. Our son has grown spiritually, in part because of what he has learned at Grace. The building on this site, is the old building. Good Luck!

if you are looking for private Christian schools in the Apex, Cary, Raleigh area, I would put Grace Christian in the tier II category. My first hand assessment is that while it is a good "enviroment" for the kids, the elementary school teachers are average to below average, due in part to lower salaries. Elementary school administration is lacking. Lecture teaching style from 3rd grade forward. If you child does not learn very well from lecture style, the attitude of teachers and administration is that you will have to learn at home or with outside tutor. Grace does not react very enthusiastically to students who are not gifted academically. Also, does not currently have structure in place for assisting students who may need a little "extra" help academically. Seems to be alot more leniency for students with behavioral issues, and less for those with academic challenges.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your decision.

In an age where God is no longer welcome in the public school system, and where children are no longer permitted to pledge allegiance to God and to the United States of America, Grace stands out as refreshingly different. Administration, faculty, and staff are focused on teaching children to develop a genuine relationship with the Lord, and love for one another.

Everyday my kindergartner looks forward to school and comes home happy. He is challenged academically and learning at the pace that works well for him. The reasonable tuition is well worth the investment in our child?s future. Grace is a wonderful, nurturing learning environment. I am impressed with the quality of instruction, sense of community and joy I see in the children daily.

We chose Grace because of the small class size, emphasis on academics and strong emphasis on love for Jesus and others. We are so pleased that parent involvement is not only welcome but encouraged.

By the way, the new facility is beautiful. The picture on City Search is NOT one from their new location...
