Town Pump Tavern

One of my all time favorite bars! They have some of the best music around. You can always count on meeting really friendly people, an having a great time.

I have gotten spoiled when it comes to not smoking in bars. Here they allow smoking. But on the upside, I promise you will meet someone friendly there. Plus, they almost always have good bands bringing in a wide variety of music, from bluegrass to rock-n-roll. The decor has dollar bills stapled to the ceiling, a long and narrow bar, with dart boards in the back for free play. One thing I should mention, the Town Pump does NOT serve "hard" alcohol, only beer and wine, Black Mountain city law.
