Matthews Towing & Automotive

I have a 1980 Corvette that is slowly being restored. I had a gasket leak issue, as I did it myself and did not completly fix the problem. We had called matthews Towing & automotive before to help with my daughter's VW Passat towing and they were very honest and helped us with a fair price. As my wife recommended, I called them to help with my corvette problem. Kevin gave me advise and quoted me a price of $85.00 to fix the gasket problem. He ended up fixing the problem in 1/2 the time and only charged me $45.00. He was very patient with me as I am not very mechanical and took the time to explain several issues with my car that I needed to know. Will definitely try them again.

Needed a car towed on Sunday morning, and they responded quickly and were reasonably priced. The drive was nice, clean and gave me an overall professional impressions. I will use them again!

We have a very busy automotive car repair workshop here in Charlotte. Customers are forever having their cars towed in to have them worked on. Today Matthews Towing Automotive Service dropped off a vehicle. The driver was so rude! I asked him what the last name of the person he picked it up from was, and his reply was "don't know". So I asked if he had a phone number for them, he said "nope". I asked him where he got it from and he just strugged his shoulders. We are required to have some kind of information on the cars before we accept them, but he just laid down the key and walked out without saying anything else. Why would we want to be stuck with a car, that we have no information on, and it won't start?
He was a jerk. And we usually recommend certain companies for towing, but Matthews Towing will not be one of them.

I was stuck On I-485 off Hwy 74 at night called several SO CALLED 24 hour towing companies and finally called Matthews Towing and a nice gentleman answered the phone I was so happy I got someone. Told him where I was and he came in less than 15 minutes WOW. After he arrived he also told me that his shop could fix it first thing in the morning being new to the area and needed a place to get my car worked on I told him to take it to his shop. He also gave me a ride home which was great was little out of the way but he said it was fine. I can tell you his name is J.R. and is very professional and understanding.

Matthews Towing and Automotive is a full service automotive center. They do most any type of work on automobiles. They seem to be very honest and up front with regards to their work. Labor fees are reasonable and consistent with the local competitors.
