Reviews for Pasta & Provisions

Ratings_icons I liked it!

I think this place is worth it if you're in the area. I wouldn't drive across town from the northside, but I would definitely go by if I needed dinner for a group and didn't want to cook. I never found the staff to be snooty as mentioned previously. I think they're helpful and offer great suggestions for wine. And who cares if the people behind the counter aren't italian. Speaking as an italian you don't have to be italian to know good food.

Ratings_icons The ravioli alone is worth it

The parking is difficult, the shop is small, and the staff isn't always friendly.... but the ravioli is worth it. Chicken ravioli and pumpkin ravioli (no butternut squash - apparently that's for posers?) are my favorites. The fresh sauces are also great. They also have wine, olive oils, cookies, and deli selections. But go for the ravioli.

Ratings_icons it's not 100% authentic, but it's GREEAAAT!

i've lived in charlotte for 20 years now, and i love this place. and i don't live in myers park or dilworth or any kind of a richy neighborhood... and people in there are not snooty, i have no clue what some people are talking about. parking is not great, but who comes here to complain 2 paragraphs on parking? ridiculous.

ok, it's not authentic italian food, but the food is good. the pasta is delicious. i live off of their frozen food section. lobster ravioli is just YUMMY! my favoriate. their selection of ham and meat is good too. i especially like the rosemary ham and prosciutto. and my favoriate bread is the rosemary foccacia, which you can buy half if you choose.

and just recently i met the owners, who happened to sit next to me at a restaurant -- eating at the bar. they raved about other people's pastas, and i didn't who they were until we were about to leave. just friendly, honest, and sweet.

Ratings_icons Cooking Italian - They have everything you need

Becky G. | insider Insider | Rank: 18,304

If you really want to impress dinner guests, make Pasta & Provisions your 1st stop when shopping. You can get everything from the appetizer to the dessert in 1 stop. My favorite is the fresh pasta in every shape imaginable. Get pasta sheets and make your own ravioli (crab is my favorite) in record time. They also have a deli for the best Italian meats. Also available - pizza dough, wine, olives & olive oil, balsamic vinegar and cannoli and fresh bread. All you need now is a salad.
