When I get a hankering for good barbecue, this is where I head. It can be crowded, the decor won't win any awards, they only take cash... but they make some great barbecue. An order of hush puppies gives you a generous portion. The wait

they were rude to everybody at our table.our waitress not want to spend much time with our table.she brought me the drink wrong and knew it. she would not volunteer to do anything about it. she the white young waitress, rude to children at the table. the longer she waited on us.more angry she got at us.we had continually ask her to come back to the table. she would give us food and drink and run away.she would not volunteer to clean up the dirty table.and noticed she pushed the food crumbs off the table and onto the floor.and not cleaned up. she talked back rude. not volunteer to bring bill. gave us the bill and ran away. not volunteer to ask us if we needed anything more.gave us what we asked for and then ran away.our food was slow because she spent more time at other tables.and would not volunteer to give it to us.

As an NC native raised in a rural area this place is authentic. I love the split tile floor (rarely seen anymore) and the cigarette and soft drink adverts give it a vintage feel of a time long gone by. The tea and french fries are great and hush puppies too. I always go for a "sliced sandwich" and the meat is good. Service is fine and reasonably friendly and yes it's true they don't lick your a## clean but that's part of the hicky ambiance I was raised with so don't find it offensive. Can be crowded at peak times; yes the parking lot needs a resurface but for me that's part of the down-home appeal. Be careful pulling in and out; and yes, bring CASH since they don't do credit cards or checks.

I'm a native from this area, and this is the gold standard for barbecue. No need to drive to Lexington. Friendly folks, awesome flavor, weekend specials, great prices & menu selections!

Pros: Great food and service

Cons: Draws a crowd, arrive early

They only accept cash, but you know what? Their prices are lower because of it! The bbq is the best I have ever had! I love the bbq slaw too!! I just can't say enough, and they even have tater tots! It just tastes like something you'd make at home!!!

The food was really good, but the service was really slow. And when I went they didnt except credit cards but you dont find that out until you are up at the cash register to pay. Thankfully they took a check. Also the parking is HORRIBLE to get out of there if you go during a busy driving time

I Highly Recommend Little Richard's off of Hwy 109 & Gumtree Road. # 1- Reasons - No Smoking Section !!

Clint (Richard's Brother) and Jesse, BBQ is Juicier and the atmosphere is more attractive.

Little Richard's @ Country Club Road is Great and the service is good they the building is smaller and the only take CASH, boo!!

Clint, Richard's Brother, and Jesse at Hwy. 109 can hook u up with some for the road or you next Party. I Highly Recommend Little Richard's !!

I don't know if New Comers to the area that are Looking for BBQ Know it or not But Lexington BBQ Off of I-85 is one of the areas first and Yes, all of the BBQ Cooks around learned from Mr. Monk's Smoking Pork Shoulders.

BY THE WAY Little Richard ONLY Owns -- these two Locations the ONE in Clemons was sold along with the name rights, Good luck it is Too Smoky inside too.

I am from Wisconsin, and was there about a week ago and had an excellent experience. Our waitress was courteous, helpful and was there to fill up our drinks often. The foods was great!! The only problem I had was waiting for atable, but with a little patience, everything was fine.
The overall experience was great, and when I am in the area again, I will be sure to hit Little Richards up again!!!!

I live in AZ now and wish that there was food like this here. Just can't get any better. I love bar-b que and try it everywhere I go. Nowhere can compee in my eyes.

Little Richard's looks run down on the outside. Little Richard's looks run down on the inside. maybe not run-down, per se, but lived in. This jewel is tucked away on Country Club road, but has some of the best barbecue in North Carolina.

Try the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw (this is not traditional mayo coleslaw, but a vinegar based slaw) to top your sandwich. Get some crinkle fries (the king of the french fries) and a Coke to round out the meal. You wont have spent more than a few dollars, but you will be in heaven.

The dining room is small, so remember to be patient: your time will come. Also, don't forget to bring cash because the do not accept credit cards. NO VISA, NO MASTERCARD, NO AMERICAN EXPRESS.

Great place for either. The atmosphere helps make the place, and the food is some of the best NC BBQ has to offer.

We recently went to Little Richards on Country Club and had the worst service imaginable. Our waitress was disinterested in serving us and more interested in talking to the table next to us. We had to "go and find her" several times to fill up our tea. Upon exiting we complained to the cashier who acted offended and didn't apologize. She wished us a good evening in a sarcastic tone as she slammed the drawer. The food was great - but you can get great BBQ elsewhere in town with great service to go along with it.

PROS: great food
CONS: poor service, hard to get in/out parking lot during rush hour

This place has been here for as long as I can remember and nothing has changed. As far as the food goes, that's a good thing... as far as atmosphere goes, it's time for an upgrade. Small, unsturdy tables manned by frazzled waitresses are always full and the wait is generally a long, hot one. Until they finally bother to invest the funds to increase dining capacity and staffing (and upgrade to modern seating), your best bet is to order your food to go. Buy a bottle of their BBQ sause while you're there. It's fantastic!

This is the best bbq I have ever had, I only wish I lived closer to eat it more often! I live in FL, but everytime I visit Winston I go here. Their food is simply superb. Fast bbq at great prices. If you go, you must try their cole slaw, it is very tasty and unique!
