Crown Volvo of Chapel Hill has closed their doors. The facility near Southpoint is Crown Honda.

I believe the only Crown Volvo left is in Greensboro. I know that some of the mechanics and staff were found positions at other Crown dealers so at least something good came out of the closing.

Crown volvo has now moved from the Fordham BLVD location. They are now located somewhere near Southpoint mall. Crown Volvo has a wonderful staff that really works hard to please its customers. I have utilized there mechanics on several occasions and they have always got it right on the first attempt. Fair and honest business practices are very important in the automobile industry.

Over the years I have bought two Volvos from the showroom floor from Crown. The salesmen were always available without being pushy or overbearing. When I wanted assistance they were there with sound advice and suggestions. Even after the sales, I was always only a phone call away from getting answers to my questions. The service department was superb - professional, reliable and efficient. Good customer service is definitely a priority with Crown.

I love the option to make an appointment in the evening. The wait is usually 30mins-hour. The only thing I would change is that all people on the Honda team GREET every customer when they come in contact with them. While getting my oil changed the other day I browsed around the showroom and a total of 6 people walked by me and NONE of them said hello or nothing. SERVICE DEPARTMENT ROCKS. Keep up the good work and training Matt Mann.

We recently bought a station wagon from volvo and had a good experience. They gave us all the discounts and incentives that were coming to us (AAA, UNC) without any hastle and we ended up buying our car in just a couple of days. Since then we've had a couple of dealings with the service people (my check engine light came on) and they were responsive and overall nice guys. As far as car buying goes, I'd recommend them; plus we really like the car.

Pros: nice guys, good location, easy negotiations

.

Come with an existing offer or Crown will negotiate earnestly.

I went in with a broken air conditioner and asked to have the oil changed.
My car runs fine, and always has.

They found:

Cracked exhaust manifold $536.00
Timing belt getting old $231.00
Water pump getting old $86.00
CV boots cracked $250.00
Needed tune up $320.00
Oil about to leak out $550.00
Air conditioner fixed $0.00 (bad fuse)
Oil change $19.95

Potential total: $2000.00

I couldn't afford everything, so got what sounded imminently catastrophic. An immense amount of money for a car that is worth $4,000. They did not comment on the warning light on my dash. They did fix the AC for free- and the manifold was covered by warranty. However, my AC broke immediately afterwards- the fuse is blowing for some other reason they did not find or diagnose. Should I hazard going back?

They are honest- but you will find that your wallet is empty afterwards
