We drive across the city for this food. It's authentic and delicious. The staff is also friendly and glad to accomodate both special orders and allergies. I highly recommend!

Ratings_icons Surprisingly good

Well there isn't much of a selection for dim sum in Charlotte so when we moved there our expectations were pretty low. Dim Sum Restaurant was great. We went almost every weekend. The service is friendly and the food is tasty. My favorite is the fried taro.

Ratings_icons Good Dim Sum

We were looking for Dim Sum in Charlotte and glad that when we found a place the food was good. Parking can be a little tough on busy weekends so plan to go for an early or late lunch.

Ratings_icons My favorite brunch spot in Charlotte

Dim Sum, on Central Ave. has pretty standard dinner fare. Don't go for dinner- wait until the weekend- preferably Sunday when the best variety is available and go for brunch. They, as the name would suggest, specialize in dim sum and serve from rolling carts on the weekends, though you can order from a dim sum lunch menu throughout the week.

The variety and quality of dumplings, congee, roasted meats and sweets easily rivals dim sum restaurants in much larger cities and the prices are very low. You can also order items from the menu to supplement your cart selections.

Our favorite items: sweet pineapple steamed buns and shrimp and leek pan-fried dumplings in a sweet sauce.

Parking is ample and they are extremely child-friendly.
