I've left the "care" of Carolina Dental Associates because I suspected I could get better treatment elsewhere. My suspicions were accurate.

The new dentist showed me how several of the fillings that Dr. Robert Ha did were NOT sealed and therefore causing tooth decay. I certainly have no dental training, but I do know that when you fill a cavity, the cavity needs to be completely sealed/filled?hence the term ??FILLING?!!!

To further arouse suspicion, I checked the Better Business Bureau on Carolina Dental Associates and saw that they scored an ??F?, whereas my new dentist scored an ??A?. So, it's clear to me that my new dentist isn't the party who has issues.

Pros: None!

Cons: Shoddy work, poor customer service

.

This dentist office is a joke! The receptionist is so rude each time I call or go in. She never smiles, is very unprofessional, always seems in a bad mood. Their is always a long wait to actually be seen. Then whenever I get my teeth cleaned there they do a TERRIBLE job! They hardly even clean my teeth, they still feel dirty when I leave. They even try to let me go without the dentist herself actually looking at my teeth! I am definitely finding a new place to go!

Cons: Rude receptionist, terrible cleanings

.

Background: My previous dentist dropped from my network.
New patient going for a cleaning and check-up. Met Dr. Ha and he was off for a route canal... Yes the office is that big (10 Chairs!). Hygenist gave me some crappy advice about brushing my teeth. Never saw Dr. Ha after cleaning. Paid bill and was out.
2nd visit: Was in and out in 30 minutes, never saw Dr. Ha. (Yes both of the their names are Ha). I asked the receptionist if Dr. Ha was here. She replied "yes, did you need to see him?" I said "no, I just have never been in an office like this."

Ladies and Gentlemen: All I wanted was a checkup and good cleaning where the dentist can look my entire mouth to see any problems, and make recommendations (offer preventive care). And not have a bunch of hygenist using water drills to clean your teeth and never see the dentist. If your oral health is important, go somewhere else!

Pros: Close to work, closer to subway, wendy's, BoJ, etc..

Cons: Factory, haven't seen a dentist.

I finally gave up on these clowns after four years of office visits! I had to wait over an hour on average for each visit in the past four years and each time office managements are getting worse and worse. If you asked something (i,e. reschedudling), they will threaten you with penalty and fees. My waiting time doesn't count for them, but late arrival (i.e. 10 minutes) will count for fees!!

They will do any to make money!

Pros: Location if you are in RTP

Cons: Rude receptionist and office manager, over an hour waiting

.

Always a long waiting time (around 45mins-1hr).
Receptionist is rude, whenever I tried to talk to Dr Ha, No luck...Receptionist never passon message to Dr. Never passon my Phone to Dr Ha..Even not ready to provide Email id of Dr. At this moment of time, I am suffering from pain due to mistake of Dr Ha. I would recommend not to visit Dr Ha under any circumstances.. It was my bad luck that I have not gone thru Reviews, else I would have prefered not to go to Dr. HA...Good luck to those who still visits Dr Ha..

If I have a option to mention negative marking, I would have marked with 5 -Ve Stars..

I am new in town and needed to locate a new dentist for my family. This office was able to work us all in in a timely manor and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The hygienist was very nice and the Dr. was very pleasant. I would recommend this office to everyone!

Pros: nearo to my area

Cons: can't say in one word or line

.

I chose this dentist because it was the only one in my area that accepted my dental insurance. The hygenist was very sweet, but that's where the good stuff ended. After one cleaning procedure, they told me I would have to come back for a second cleaning and to have 2 cavities filled. The first cleaning wasn't covered by my insurance, I later found out. They also tried to sell me several unwanted and expensive products and treatments.
My second cleaning took about 10 minutes, so I'm not sure why that couldn't be done in the first appointment. The two ladies who filled my cavities watched tv the entire time. One time, the lady's hand slipped while she was holding the light on my tooth to set the filling. She continued to hold it on my lip and watch tv until it finished its cycle.
Later that evening, I had some pretty extrordinary swelling in my lip and a large blister. When I called the dentist about it, she insisted that I must have unknowingly bitten it. I don't think this was the case since the blister was on the outside of my lip and I hadn't attempted to eat yet. I'm concerned that it may have been caused by the light that was held on my lip instead of my tooth. (Interestingly enough, their voice message now states that there will be a $20 charge any time they have to page a dentist to answer a question over the phone...)
I also experienced some pretty extrordinary swelling of my bill, which is surprising considering I have insurance. I paid my bill when I left the second appointment, but now (3 months later) I am recieving more bills from this place.
This practice is unprofessional and will try to wring every penny they can out of you.

I won't be back. During my procedure, the dentist and assistant were glued to the TV set located in the room. Ostensibly placed for the benefit of the patients, I couldn't see it when my chair was shifted back. The show they were watching must have been pretty good, because one of the fillings they gave me was so bad I had to return. They left a sharp, jutting peak of either tooth or ceramic filling material that poked my toungue when the pain killers wore off.

Limited English skills of many staff, made it difficult to understand their directions--even when sitting in the chair with all sorts of activity going on in my mouth. Dentist began scolding assistant during my procedure, in front of me, when the assistant wasn't quick enough with the tools. I felt uncomfortable with the exchange going on literally over me.

The convenient location doesn't overcome the significant shortcomings of this practice, in my opinion.

Dr. Ha took special care to make sure that I was a happy customer. She was very patient and went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. I would go back to see.

This associates try to get money from you any how. Dentist will try to do extra stuff on your teeth to bill you, which your insurance does not pay.
every year they have new nurse, they don't speak and communicate with you properly and will take multiple xray and bill it to you.
Staff is very very harsh, i tried to contact the founder (Dr. Catherine A. Ha) of this dental associates, and not ready to come and speak. They are trying to hide from you. Their staff is not even passing messages to their doctors.
As RTP is getting its standard high, we don't need this dental associates in our area, as they creates problem to their customers. Big companies are in RTP, they all should go to other dental offices, i am sure there are better dental offices around here.

The truth should come out, they are cheaters.

The last time I went in for a cleaning, the dentist told me I had two cavities but was not specific about where they were and did not use a mirror or the x-rays to show me. I have had one cavity during my life so it seemed odd that two would appear in just 6 months. Luckily I was moving so I did not schedule the appointment to get them filled as the receptionist pushed. I just saw my new dentist today and he found *no* cavities.

If you choose to go here, be cautious about any "cavities" they find. Request that they are pointed out with the mirror and on a x-ray.

Dr. Catherine Ha is nice, gentle, and takes the time to explain the treatments necessary. Appointments can be had only a few weeks in advance. Only four stars because I've had one good and one bad dental technician in my visits there and because they did suggest I needed braces when most dentists are amazed how straight my teeth are without ever having had braces.

Would and have recommended to others who were also very happy with the practice.

One of the most convenient practices for those who work in RTP.

This dentist try to sell you extras in each visit. Though they know that insurance doesn't pay, they tend to do the extra's which you don't need and charge for it. They try to sqeeze $'s from you and the staff is harsh.
