I went to Lane & Assoc. in Angier for a cleaning and the staff was in such a good mood and very pleasant. My hygenist that I seen (Lisa) was so nice and very gentle. When I checked out they went over all my treatment and what I would pay out of pocket. They gave me reminder cards for my upcoming appts and also called to confirm that I was coming to my appt.

Let's just say, thanks to Dr.Lane & Associates, I now have a numb tongue and tingling sensations in my gums when I brush my teeth. I had wisdom teeth removed, and now I have lingual nerve damage which is permanent. He even called me himself to see how I was managing when I continued to complain...how many doctors do that unless they think something is seriously wrong? At a visit, on a Saturday because I was in so much pain and the office was closed, I told him that I was in pain and I noticed that he wrote in his notes that I was having NO pain! I will NEVER go back to him again. I am still filling the effects of his work 3 years later.

Jan. 22, 2007 I was seen at Lane and Assoc. where I purchased/paid in full for an immediate set of dentures (meaning for an additional charge of 950.00 over the already standard charges). Immediate meaning I would be fitted for and receive my dentures in 10 days. On Feb. 12th, the dentures arrived but were not sized correctly so were sent back to an outside lab for another fitting. Note: these teeth were paid for as immediate. On March 9th, I returned to the office to be told after an hour and an half of waiting that the wrong set had been sent, the dentures still were not available. It has been nearly 2 months...my insurance company (Cigna) and myself have paid for these dentures in full at three times the regular rate (for a total of 2077.00) and I have driven over 240 miles total time for teeth that I was billed for, paid for to be immediate (10 days). The staff have been rude and unaccommadating about offering a refund or discount of any sort. I have paid outrageous money for dentures I have not received. I am also notifying my insurance company of potential insurance fraud in that Lane & Associates have been paid for services not rendered and for immediate service charges not rendered (as defined by 8 weeks of waiting instead of 10 days).

I was a customer from 1999 thru 2004 simply because this was the closest Dentist that accepted my insurance. Most of the times things went all right, but never great. What I didn't like about the place was that they seem to have a very high turnover in dentists, each time you see someone else. I pulled the plug on them and went somewhere else when I had a crown replaced and it went terribly wrong. My dentist started screaming at the assistant in front of me and left in the middle of the procedure, and another dentist had to finish. Up to this day this crown is not done right and I am still having trouble with it.
Never again will I set foot in another Dr. Lane Dentistry

Dr. Don Lane and Associates has six practice sites - but is based on Main Street of its Fuquay-Varina facility. The facility is new and state of the art. The staff is very friendly. Dr. Lane has a "I am always available" policy to see patients whenever they have a need. Dr. Lane is good - but the reason I do not rank him with the highest scores are because he is always in a hurry and likes to do things VERY fast. Other than that - he is a good guy - and may even leave you with a Bible verse.

When we moved to Fuquay, we had no idea where to go for dentistry. We set up times for cleanings and were told both of the younger children needed mini-root canals. What are those? Both are still experiencing problems. They were supposed to stick to the insurance plan but they did not and the bills went beyond that. Called them on a friday and they could not even see one child who was in a lot of pain, we found someone else, then we get a no-show bill for the following monday. Did they think a child could go the whole weekend without seeing a doctor? Then, we were asking around at the Doctor's office we found in Cary, stopped in at a neighboring Dentist and when I mentioned this place, both techs rolled their eyes and said they had temped there before. They would not go into detail but suggested a dentist in Garner. Hmmmm.....

PROS: none.....can not be trusted.....
CONS: office is beautiful - great bubbling water - elegant
