How can you not like a newspaper with both a sense of humor and outrage? John Hammer is the local conservative conscience, and his writing has greatly improved over the last 15 years. It's also a big plus that the paper carries "News of the Weird" and "Uncle Orson Reviews Everything".

You might not like what they have to say, but what they have to say will make you think.

It surprised me how much I enjoyed reading the Rhino Times when I moved here. Their little motto "We Make Conservatism Cool" would have normally been enough to keep me from even opening the paper at all, but, my husband is a huge fan of "Uncle Orson" and I'm pretty partial to some of his work as well, so I tried it. I'm so glad I did. For better or worse, I've learned about some of the inner workings of Greensboro from the Rhino Times. It's not ultra conservative, thank goodness. This bleeding heart liberal probably couldn't take it if it was. It is a good little newspaper that tries to give readers the truth and a little community fun and involvement as well. I do cringe at some parts, but they're usually letters to the editor or the beep (readers leave a message at the beep and it's written in the paper) section.
