Wiles Pediatrics

My experience with Dr Wiles and his nurse, Janet, has been extraordinary. It is a "concierge" practice without the extra fee.
I am a grandmother, not a parent, and as such have been welcomed warmly to come to my grandson's checkups when I have had the chance. Dr Wiles spends half of his visit (which is considerably longer than most) addressing behavioral aspects of the child's development which is a tremendous help to young and anxious new parents. I have thoroughly enjoyed the visits I have been to, as they have brought me up on the current trends and findings on child development. Since I have the pleasure of keeping my grandson as often as I wish, it has helped me maintain the consistency that is so critical in child rearing and disciplining. My grandson is so comfortable with the medical environment that his response, when administered the flu shot recently, was only "ouch!!"
Dr Wiles is to be commended for the choice he made in practicing pediatrics and he certainly would not be able to do it so well if it was not for the dedication of his nurse, Janet.

I cannot tell you how much we like Dr. Wiles and Nurse Janet. If you are looking for the small practice with lots of personal attention - this is your place. We have been patients since before our first child was born in 2003 and they have been there for everything!

As a nurse and mother of two,from the moment we arrived in Raleigh 2 years ago with a then 8 week old and soon to be 2 year old,the care ,knowledge and compassion shown was incredible.Our children are thoroughly cared for,with lots of attention to detail.Between Dr.Wiles and Nurse Janet we couldn't be happier with the care given to our children.they feel like family and I thank my dear friend to have recomended this practice.

I have been going to Dr. Wiles since my son was born almost 2 years ago and really like him. This is a small practice, he is the only Dr. so you will see him every time so you don't have to wonder if he remembers your child and their history. He always takes as much time as we need to make sure he understands what is going on and I never feel rushed. He has a great bed-side manner, especially with a first time mom like me, and always thoroughly answers all of my questions. I also appreciate his approach to treatment, he never just throws meds at my son whether he needs them or not, he only recommends medication when it's necessary. His nurse, Janet, is also wonderful. She is great with my son and is always very helpful when we call with questions or see her in the office. She also is happy to answer all of my first time mom questions with patience and thoroughness. We have been very happy with Dr. Wiles and would recommend him.

The one drawback to this practice is that because it is small, you won't be able to get anyone on the phone immediately when you call. They take messages and check them frequently and call back quickly though. I've always been able to get an appt. the same day for sick visits, but if for some reason the message doesn't get through, you'll have to call back and there's a little waiting involved. Even with this inconvenience, we still really like this practice.

We have been going to Dr. Wiles for a year now and I would not go anywhere else. It is so nice to go to a place where they know your name. They both take the time to get to know you and really care about your child. It is like being part of a family. There is never a question too small that they won't answer and they stay late to make sure they personally call you back. We love them both!

I first met Dr. Wiles at Rex Hospital, when I had my first son 7 years ago. He was the pediatrician in charge that day, he came to see our newly born baby, then we knew, he was the perfect doctor for our son, and he is. I have called him for emergencies, after hours and on weekends, he always returns our calls, no later than 15 minutes. We had our second baby boy, and he is still there for us. My boys love him and Janett, he is a great nurse, always with a great attitude and patience. God bless you, Dr. Wiles.

I have been taking my children to Wiles Pediatrics for 4 years. Dr. Wiles and Nurse Janet KNOW their patients and the families.
This small private practice is just like being a part of a wonderful family.

There is no question that they genuinely care for the children. The children LOVE them! When my kids feel even the slightest bit under the weather they ask me to call Nurse Janet or Dr. Wiles. The kids actually want to go see them!

Dr. Wiles and Nurse Janet have been a blessing to our sons and our family!

I have been bringing my 4 children to Dr Wiles for years. He is in a solo practice, but he is available 24/7. My son ran through a wire fencing one Friday night at 9pm, I called Dr Wiles on call and he met me at the office in 15 minutes. That is service that is hard to find. My 2 boys and 2 girls truely enjoy going to his office. Dr Wiles and his staff are always friendly, never rude and they listen to your concerns about your child. Dr Wiles easily makes your child feel at ease and does an excellent job and takes his time with you and you child to be sure you understand what to expect. I highly recommend this practice.

I was in the process of selecting a pediatrican when I went into labor five weeks early. Dr. Wiles was serving on the staff at Rex Hospital, and although he hadn't been our my list of physicians to consider, I immediately knew I wanted him to be my son's healthcare provider. Fortunately for us, he was in the process of opening his own practice. Five years and another baby later, he's still our pediatrician. I drive from Benson to Raleigh because I've been so impressed with the quality of care he provides. From the outset he let us know he was available 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year, and more than once he's met me at his office in the middle of the night because of an emergency with my child. He truly cares about the well-being of my children AND my family. I couldn't have hoped for a more compassionate, considerate doctor.

I have been here a few times during these last few years. Once for a broken arm and another time for my eyes. Both of those times i felt very confident i was going to get better, and, no suprise, i did. Doctor wiles is a caring doctor and likes to make jokes and his assistant Janet is very friendly.
