A great place to go with friends  4 Star Rating - Very good

This is a great place to go for bunch with friends. The foods are good - especially the potatoe salad and grilled chicken. Many of their items on the menu are made fresh daily.

A great place to go if you haven't been there yet.

Best burger in Raleigh 5 Star Rating - World class

my wife and I agree that the bacon swiss burger is absolutely the best burger in town ... and the waffle fries are great too ...

Excellent sandwiches 4 Star Rating - Very good

This place has the best potato salad I have found in town. It is also very pleasant to eat among the plants of the nursery next to the cafe. However, its prices are a little high, and it's annoying that it closes so early when the nursery is still open.

Pros: quick service, always sufficient parking
Cons: closes too early (2:30 p.m.), prices are a little high

Best lunch around! 5 Star Rating - World class

I can't count the number of years that I have been going here for lunches with friends and family. There are wonderful fresh salads with the best grilled chicken. The kids LOVE the burgers and the soups and chili are always creative and fresh. The cranberry walnut cookies and pumpkin & cranberry muffins are SOOOOOO good. This is such a hidden treasure in Raleigh - located in the back of Logan's Trading Company in the Seaboard Shops. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and the atmosphere is like your outdoor patio. Kids are welcome and lots to choose from for them on the menu. Watching your weight - not a problem here with the choice of salads and light sandwiches. I've even taken student groups here and they loved it . AND now they do catering and box lunches too. The prices are great too - especially for the quality of the food.

Pros: All thumbs up - and big toes too!
Cons: Sometimes it's a bit crowded on Fridays and Saturdays so there's a little wait

a welcome oasis 5 Star Rating - World class

Though we now live out of town, every time we go back, we make a point to stop in at our favorite lunch stop- The Seaboard Cafe. Always wonderful food, excellent service and some of the best people-watching available, all served in an oasis of open air, verdant greenery and garden delights. Stop in here to recharge your battery after a hectic work week, you 'll always leave satisfied and refreshed.

Pros: atmosphere, value, wonderful food
Cons: none

Best hidden cafe in Raleigh 5 Star Rating - World class

Seaboard Cafe is well known only to the Raleigh gardeners. It is well hidden in the Logan Trading Company, which is a must see place on its own.
The food is excellent and always fresh. The hamburgers are huge and juicy, and serverd in the best outdoor seating in Raleigh.
