Ovens Auditorium is a quaint little theater not having the higher technology of some of the newer theaters but the cost is lower than those venues. The seats are comfortable with good viewing from pretty much all locations. This particular evening was an evening with, Yanni, in which I thought the show was great. Very warm and intimate evening.

Always enjoy shows at this smaller venue. The staff is really friendly, drink prices are fair, unfortumately the only food is chips so eat before you go.

We paid $100/seat to see Jerry Seinfeld, and when we arrived, the ushers could not locate our seats.

The solution: we were given folding chairs and told that would have to do. We could either see the show or not. There were a LOT of folding chairs out there, not just ours.

When we bought the tickets, there was no indication that the seats we were buying were any different than any other. Oven's is playing games and profiting from the deception.

Buyer BEWARE!

Suprised as can be this place is still around and still as pretty as it was in the olden days. I have been to many events here and they are just as nice as they can be with tickets and seating. This is a must place for anyone to go and see The Singing Christmas Tree. The staff will aid you with any and all your needs if you are handicapped or not. They have many events. The inside looks like an old theater with the velveteen seats and the big stage. It is a must for all to see. When we went to see the Singing Christmas Tree they made sure we found our seats in a timely manner.

Ovens auditorium is fairly big venue, and plays host to a variety of events throughout the year. Personally, I have seen theatre and concerts at Ovens. I do not care much for the auditorium as a music venue; I do not like the acoustics of the building. Being a big venue, tickets for the events are usually overpriced. This is not on my top 10 list of venues in Charlotte.

Ovens has a wide variety of shows and events. I've seen a Hamlet ballet, and the North Carolina symphony orchestra perform here. The facility is nothing special but well thought out and the seating is very comfortable. I would definitely come back to see another show in the future.
