This small mom and pop jeweler is the best I've seen to date. I purchased my mom a ring, necklace and earrings and had her initials engraved on the slide. It was such a great job that I bought a set for myself. I've had rings sized and batteries installed in watches while I waited. Great workmanship and above reproach customer service.
We had a ring made at this jeweler's little shop in Cary. They did a beautiful job. We also have all our watches serviced, chains fixed and any other repairs done as needed. They are very friendly, finish work as promised and do not overcharge for their excellent work. I highly recommend them.
PROS: Friendly, competent staff
CONS: Small shop can get busy and backlogged.
My fiance got my engagement ring from Johnson's Jewelers after getting a recommendation from another customer. After he had been to other places and didn't get the ring, diamond, or service he wanted, Johnson's was a great fit.
We got our wedding rings from them as well and we love them. Every time we go in there, they take my rings and clean/polish them while we look around. They know us by name and make us feel very welcomed.
I took a few items to get fixed and was way overcharged for a few simple repairs (broken chain lock, etc). They didn't even have the courtesy to clean the items I took there to get fixed. They broke something that wasn't broken and told me that I had to pay for the repair even though it was their fault (awful customer service). I will never go there again and I encourage you to avoid this place.
