Edwards Sherri Dvm - Garner Animal Hospital Inc

The hospital has been around since the sixties, my grandpa used to take his pets there and I would never choose another vet to take care of my babies. They treat my pets as if they were their own! The staff is very nice and they handle my pets gently, the Doctors are so sweet and they always make my pets better no matter what kind of situation they are in. Every time we have been in for a visit we havent had to wait long and they spend as much time as needed. The hospital isnt the most modern around but there prices are VERY reasonable. I would reccomend this vet to anyone who is looking for a vet or is not satisfied with the one they have.

Wow these people REALLY care about animals! My boyfriend and I have taken our boxer here before to get a cyst removed from his docked tail, and they were really great and organized, got us in and out the next day with a successful small surgery. That was a great experience, but what really made me get on here and write a review was what happened today. My dog had cut the bottom of his foot while playing in the backyard and lost a pretty good amount of blood. We rushed to GAH and realized they were closed (they close at 6 & it was 6:30). A nice lady happened to be pulling out from the back of the lot and she stopped and we told her what had happened. They were already all locked up and closed. She reopened and took a look at our precious baby, it ended up just being a puncture and we received antibiotics and treatment instructions. Her name was Dr. Sherri Edwards and I don't know what we would have done if it wasn't for her! We definitely would have spent the rest of the night and the emergency animal hospital and would have spent a lot more money. She's a wonderful lady and I will be forever thankful!

Dr Edwards is the best, very kind and obviously loves animals. She always takes time to explain everything and answer all questions.. I moved from Garner to Cary but wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. I recommend them every chance I get to anyone who has pets.

They are compassionate, caring, professional, and just plain wonderful. I have and will continue to recommend my friends to them. I would not take my four-legged family members anywhere else!

took our two dogs to GAH in preparation for their permanent move to Africa.Discussed with Dr Zobel the need for 'chips' to be implanted.She said she had prepared other animals for international travel.We believed her to be knowledgable about this aspect.This doctor implanted the wrong type chips: they were for USA, not acceptable for EU of Africa.We had to return within the 10 day window prior to departure for their health certificates.We asked that this final fee be adjusted or waived, since we were now forced to go to a NEW clinic (i.e. initial exam fees, plus chip placements) at this very late moment to get the CORRECT chips.(the proper chips would not have reached GAH in time to be given.We had to find a vet in Virginia at the departure city, get them put in, then send that documentation to USDA for final papers.TAB: $215 additional we had to pay to the second vet: a totally unnecessary expense that could have been avoided if GAH had been knowledgable, as they professed to be. GAH refused to give any financial help with that final visit. I suggest you be very careful in your dealings with this place.

I have been to several vets in the area and they are the BEST!!! I had one dog that had a rare disorder and they called professors at the vet hospital and anyone else that might know. They referred me to specialty hospitals and when all of the doctors said the same thing that there was nothing that could be done, they cried with me while he died. I had another dog that was having seizure problems as a puppy and they asked so many questions and when they found out that we had been spraying outside the house for ants and bugs, they called the company and had them send over an ingredient list to see if it was something in the spray. After we quit spraying he immediately quit having seizures and has been healthy ever since. They don't have the newest building but they DO care about their clients and I love them!!!

We will not be taking our dog back to this vet. One vet was nice, but the other acted like our dog was crazy and mean. Our dog is small and has never bitten or lunged at anyone. She barely even barks at people! We asked why they thought this of her and they said because she peed and backed away when they tried to give her a shot. Crazy!

When we took her to get checked on for a medical problem, they refused to put her on the table, claiming she was too "wild", gave us medicine without even touching her, and then charged us 60 bucks (for what? i don't know!)

When we tried to take her to get treated for a bee sting they were "too busy."

We finally switched vets when we realized that they 1. hated our dog and 2. weren't giving her appropriate attention and care (despite the $$$ we had given them between boarding and checkups)

The new vet showed us her folder from the old vet and there was a note that said "may need muzzle". About a dog who has never bitten anyone. Nice!

I will never recommend this vet to anyone, because they don't know how to deal with or treat animals!

Dr. Edwards is an excellent vet. Even before I got my puppy and took her there, she would come to my parents house to help with our sick Lab and she wasn't my parents regular vet. When another vet was ready to put her down, Dr. Edwards was not. She tried something on our dog and it prolonged her life. She treats the animal like it's her own. She gives you helpful tips and information and diagnosis them somewhat like a human would be diagnosed with things. No, the front staff is not the best in the world, but I wouldn't take my animal to any other vet!

I have been with Garner Animal Hospital, since I first got my license and I am 53 now. I found a wonderful veterinarian by the name of Dr. Marlatte who cared and loved my "babies." Over the years we have grown on each other, but now I have Dr. Edwards and Dr. Zobel working with my beloved pets. I drive all the way from Knightdale to Garner, just so my "babies" receive the same love, care, and attention they would receive when I first started.

I take all my pets to Dr. Edwards, and the staff are are excellent. They have been taking good care of my "babies", good advice, for me are the best!! Is not hard to get an appointment, Samantha is very nice, staff make you feel like they know you and your pet for years. For me is the best place to take pets.

Dr. Zobel and Dr. Edwards are both excellent vets, who provide tender loving care to my dog. The front staff (Cat/Samanth) are very helpful and caring. I would recommend this vet to anyone who wants a great vet and great staff!

I took my animal to this hospital and would never go back. The doctor seems interested enough. However, the front desk shows no interest or concern for your pet whatsoever. Samantha did not get back to me with very important information for my pet's health. There is no goodwill or interest in your pet at all. I would never go back again.

I also recommend Garner Animal Hopsital to anyone who is looking for an excellent Vet. The staff is very friendly, they show a lot of compassion for the animals.

Going to the vet can be an experience for BOTH the animal and the owner. Dr. Marlette an his staff at Garner Animal Hospital work hard to take the 'sting' out of the visit. The faciility, although in service for 30 years, provides state of the art treatment in a down to earth environment. The staff is extememly friendly and empathetic. The doctors, bot Dr. Marlette and Dr. Zoble, are very similar to Dr. Doolittle as they truly can talk to the animals! I highly recommend this facility to ANYONE who loves their pets.
