Carmike Cinemas Blue Ridge 14

It isn't as cushy as Southpoint Cinemas, but the price certainly is right. Even driving 35 minutes one-way, it's still cheaper than going somewhere closer to home. As I understand it, if you go on a Tuesday night you can get discounts on drinks and snacks, too.

It's dank, the carpet looks like something my cat threw up, and there's often a strange smell. However, the movies are also $1.50 each. Much as I would never complain about the ambiance at McDonald's, I can't really complain about the movies here. They're there, and watchable, and cheap!

You can't beat a cheap movie. It's worth it to wait a few months and see a movie for $1.50. That being said, this theater is not a nice one. It is worn out and sometimes dirty. The employees aren't very friendly.

Last time I was there, I had an experience that will make me always keep my feet off of the floor from now on. A certain critter ran right by my feet. I have seen tons of movies there and that was a first.

$1.50.... cheaper than renting a movie... and the people are nice. The downside is that because it is so cheap the weekends are so crowded but the upside is if you go during the week you can avoid huge crowds.
