For the money, you really can't complain. The place has its quirks, but where else can you see a movie for just $1.50? With kids and a husband, I just can't afford to take the whole family to a "real" theater and pay $12 a person just for the tickets. The problems include stale popcorn, non-stadium seating, problems with the screen (the last three movies I saw there had big green lines all across it the whole time), and a gang problem. NEVER go there on Friday night - all the street thugs come out and you can't enjoy a movie worrying about your and your children's safetly. People have been shot there, after all. It's not a problem if your showing starts and ends before dark, though.

Blue Ridge Cinema is great for it's movie prices. The popcorn and drinks will empty your wallet! The whole place needs a power washing, inside! We only go during the week. The weekend is very busy with patrons that don't care about who

Pros: ticket prices

Cons: price of popcorn/drinks and lack of cleanliness

We consider it a civic duty to regularly attend this theatre (and to buy something from the concession stand while there). Having a decent venue to see movies in the manner intended by the creators for $1.50 is a definite plus for The Triangle. While the auditoriums are small, they are soundproof and well maintained. Restroom are clean. Staffing is adequate. Sufficient parking. What??s not to like?

This place is pretty fantastic. Although I did hear someone snort some lines one night while I was in the restroom, but it didn't really affect my experience. Just a minor topic for conversation once I left the theatre.\r

We arrived for the 7:10 movie of Gran Torino, the times listed clearly through yahoo. I noticed the person before me was buying a ticket for the same movie and time, and overheard him saying "its not??". He walked away with obviously not buying a ticket. I was still in line and I confirmed with him that there was no 7:10 movie. I got out of line, and met my elderly father inside who was buying some popcorn as I was SUPPOSED to be buying the tickets. I informed him there was no movie. We left....as well as droves of other people there for the movie. TERRIBLE!!!

After dropping my father off back home, I came back by myself for the 7:55 movie of "Taken", as I had noticed the time of the board when I was standing in line for the earlier attempt of watching "Gran Torino". I arrived, went into the movie and got seated, excited to see the movie. Parts of that movie are in French, and has English subtitles. The format was incorrect and the subtitles were too low so you couldnt read them (i.e. they were off the screen).

What a sorry excuse for a movie theater!!!

Pros: Cheap movies

Cons: Amazingly incompetent business, let me explain

.

It isn't as cushy as Southpoint Cinemas, but the price certainly is right. Even driving 35 minutes one-way, it's still cheaper than going somewhere closer to home. As I understand it, if you go on a Tuesday night you can get discounts on drinks and snacks, too.

It's dank, the carpet looks like something my cat threw up, and there's often a strange smell. However, the movies are also $1.50 each. Much as I would never complain about the ambiance at McDonald's, I can't really complain about the movies here. They're there, and watchable, and cheap!

You can't beat a cheap movie. It's worth it to wait a few months and see a movie for $1.50. That being said, this theater is not a nice one. It is worn out and sometimes dirty. The employees aren't very friendly.

Last time I was there, I had an experience that will make me always keep my feet off of the floor from now on. A certain critter ran right by my feet. I have seen tons of movies there and that was a first.

$1.50.... cheaper than renting a movie... and the people are nice. The downside is that because it is so cheap the weekends are so crowded but the upside is if you go during the week you can avoid huge crowds.

In Short
As you walk in, everything is as it should be. There are the requisite snack bars, cardboard movie displays and smiling ticket-takers. With super-cheap ticket prices, you happily pay the clerk at the counter almost four…
