I recently had my wedding reception at Tir na nOg Irish Pub and it was a dream come true. They did everything. The flowers/decor was extremely reasonable in price and set up incredibly beautifully. Annie Nice was the coordinator at Tir na nOg and she was extremely attentive to all of my wants. The mood was perfect. There were great Irish dancers and musicians already performing, so we didn't have to pay for the entertainment (did it on a Saturday). The cake was the most delicious cake I have ever had in my life and she set up all of the food (amazing too!) and even made sure everyone had plenty to drink. She even cut and distributed the cake at no extra cost! Seriously everything I could have dreamed of and more. Definitely consider Tir Na nOg for anything you may need!

As someone who travels up and down the East coast quite frequently, I make it a point to locate the Irish pubs on my journeys as soon as I check into my hotel- always nice to end the evenings unwinding with a cold Guinness and great entertainment, aye? I have to tell you that NONE measure up to Tir Na nOg. NONE. I've been to Tir Na nOg for everything from breakfast buffets to lunch, dinner, and late night snacking- I have ALWAYS experienced nothing but the BEST service, QUALITY food, and CORDIAL waitstaff. Tip O' the hat to LEE who has become a favorite.
No matter how hectic it gets (especially on Saturday nights!), the staff never seem to bat an eye and actually are quite adept at handling the rush. This is quite the opposite in many other pubs I've frequented in the past. No, folks- the entire staff at Tir Na nOg are a family in every sense of the word and function as a team. I'm sure it has something to do with the owner, Annie Nice. From my deallings with her, she is both a firecracker (she's Irish..duh!) and a sweetheart. She can be found roaming the pub personally checking on her guests and insuring a great experience for all. Gotta love that!
In short, Tir Na nOg has that certain.. ""IT"" factor that very few pubs can deliver nowadays. In our cookie cutter, one size fits all, generic world of ""Irish Pubs"", Annie Nice and company deliver a genuine slice of home for us homesick Scots-Irish folk. God Bless you, Tir Na nOg! See you soon!!

We came here several times for dinner and drinks, all our visits were extremely enjoyable.\r
\r
You really cant beat that classic Irish Pub atmosphere that some places excel in and this place executes it well. Classy, Irish pub atmoshere-lively and full of energy, equipped with an exceptionally friendly staff.\r
\r
I cannot begin to tell you what an amazing St Patrick's party they hosted. The service we received here, was top notch and my babe and I really just loved the warm and inviting atmosphere the place provided. We will be back soon.

I reserved the back room for 30 people at 2:00. The lady who took my reservation was very nice. I was assured we had that space. Four minutes before 2:00, a group of people were still there, and the staff did nothing. I panicked. The rest rooms didn't work. The waiter who gave us waters and took our orders was sweet and kind. At 2:15, the staff started taking all our chairs out of the room. Again, I panicked that late arrivers would have no seats. When I told a staff member to please keep a few seats, she was rude and told me to grab seats from outside if need be. That wasn't even the worst thing... one of my attendees couldn't come because a family member had a stroke. Not having my phone number, she called the restaurant. Do you think they told me? I found out the next day in an email.\r

My wife and I have been coming here for years. It is unfortunate that I am only now getting around to writing an online review. Out of all the restaurants in downtown Raleigh, Tir Na Nog is by far our favorite. The music on the weekend is always great, especially the traditional Irish bands on Friday nights! The food is always excellent. I recommend the Cottage Pie if you're hungry. There is nothing else like it! And for desert, especially during the cold months, the Irsih Coffee can't be beat. Great food, music, and atmosphere. We will continue enjoying this place.

Went for the Sunday Brunch and arrived at 1:45. Brunch was advertised as serving till 3:00 PM. Manager greeted us and we informed her that we had an Attrctions Dinner coupon. She abruptly informed us that it was not good for bunch. We explained that we had used these coupons for brunch a number of times at her restraunt. She asked one of her staff if this was true and they confirmed that they did accept it.\r
\r
She said ok and then told the staff to clear off the buffet tables in 15 minutes. We were asked if we still wanted the brunch buffet. When asked why it was being closed an hour and 45 minutes early, she said business was slow.\r
\r
We obviously didn't stay and won't return.

My grandaughter's wedding at Tir Na Nog was absolutely beautiful. Such a lovely, enchanting setting (the atmosphere was /perfect/ for the kids' Irish wedding). Staff were gracious, the buffet was delicious (wonderful Cottage Pie!), & the wedding cake(s) were so gorgeous...we were so, so pleased with the way it all came together, and with the whole happy, joyful, extremely ambience of this pub. It's a fantastic place.

My friend's daughter got married at Tir Na Nog today. I thought everything was great. It was the perfect atmosphere for such a happy occasion. The wait staff was polite, responsive but not in your face all the time. The star of the buffet was the shepherd's pie. The real amazing part was the wedding cake. It was beautiful and tasted awesome (not like traditional too bland cake) . I would definitely considered having events there. The owner was so super nice.

We had a group of about 16 dining and hanging out at Tir Na Nog for my friend's ""26th"" birthday. Yeh right, Kristen. :) We reserved the cottage room, which has the PERFECT size! Our waitress was super attentive and all of the bills were correct! With such a large group, there are usually problems, but we had none. I was really impressed with her! I ordered some hummus and artichoke dip appetizers. The veggies with the hummus were very crisp and fresh! The hummus was a bit plain, but went well with the crisp veggies. The spinach artichoke dip was very fresh and creamy! I'm used to the frozen ones at restaurants where it's all ground to bits, but there were big chunks of artichoke and you could tell it was made fresh. I ordered the Turkey Ciabatta sandwich which came with fresh sliced avocado. It was wonderful! My husband had the fish and chips and ate every single morsel on his plate. My friends also said that their food was delicious. I recommend the Strongbow Cider. Perfect crisp drink!

I took my three children here for Sunday Brunch and we all had a really good meal, excellent omelets- and we even had a good time (which is not always easy with THREE children!!).

The staff was very friendly.

The food was YUMMY - with some off beat bunch items, for variety- and some excellent old standbys like omelets and waffles.

It was also VERY affordable.

This is the only Pub I would take my kids to- and they always enjoy it.

My husband and I were walking around downtown looking for a place to grab a drink. We are in our 30's and no longer like going to clubs. We heard about Tir Na Nog's so we decided to try it out. I am glad we did. We had a couple of beers and had a great time. Bartenders were nice and the environment was excellent. Large selection of beers on tap. I will be back.

For people looking for authentic Irish food and entertainment , you would think it would be hard to find in the triangle . Not so, After trying every Irish restaurant in Chapel Hill/Durham/Carrboro area and a couple in Raleigh, this is where I go to get my fix when I'm feeling nostalgic for home. Tir Na nOg hands down winner for great food, entertainment and service. \r

Let's preface this complaint with I am Irish and know Irish bars/restaurants can be medicre at best.\r
\r
This was horrific not just because of the food but the service was even worse!\r
\r
To run through the night...\r
\r
We were seated outside and ignored for 20 minutes. When returning inside to beg for service the ""hostess"" told me ""Oh - he hasn't come out yet? Ha ha...He must be looking at his bike out back""...not oh my gosh let me run and get someone to you immediately...etc. etc.\r
Next: Husband ordered diet soda and received full strentgh coke...\r
Next; I ordered corn beef sandwich (Rueben) with out the french dressing and got it with the dressing. Next: Husand ordered cornbeef and cabbage that looked like a 12 year old made it using starchy and tasteless potatoes, watery cabbage and deli meet corn beef. Next; He needed salt to add an ounce of flavor but again it was forgotten about by our oh so incompetent waiter. \r
\r
Worst yet? My ""new"" corn beef sandwich came to me for the second time cold (it is supposed to be served hot and grilled) and disgusting! I would not have served something that looked like that to my worst enemy. We left immediately. \r
\r
If i were anyone affiliated with the place I would be embarassed - if I were the chef - I'd start to look for a new profession. \r
\r
We will never ever recommend this to anyone, obviously never go back and encourage all our friends to stay clear.

My husband and I look our children to Marbles Kids Museum for the day (which is great for all you parents out there). Afterwards we were looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and rest the feet for a bit.

I must say at first I wasn't sure about taking the kids to an Irish pub but I guess that's why you don't judge a book by its cover. After walking into the pub, very clean, it immediately felt comfortable. It has a mismatched feel with different antique tables and chairs all over the place.

I was impressed that they had a kids menu (vegetables as a side was an option!). So far it was beating expectation, the menu was pretty creative and found it very difficult to choose one item. My husband and I decided to split our dishes so we could try a couple of things. He ordered a burger with pimento cheese and onions rings and I ordered the shiitake sliders which came highly suggested from our waitress. Both were amazing!! The burger, almost as big as my purse was absolutely delicious! The shiitakes were very good as well! What a day! Thank you Marbles and thank you Tir na nOg for a great time, we will be back to back again soon.

My husband and I took my two year old with us for lunch at Tir Na Nog. We sat inside. There were fruit-flies swarming our food and my husband's beer. If we stopped waving our hands for even a minute, the fruit-flies would take over our whole table, making it look like a heaping garbage bin on a hot day. The fries were dark brown, wet, mushy, and limp. My black eyed-pea burger was so mushy it was like a black-eyed soup burger. The flavor was not at all redeeming. When I told the waitress about the fruit flies--a problem, I'm sure she was already fully aware of, but ignoring--she said, ""Yeah, I don't know why they're so bad today,"" and then that was it. No apologies. No promises to take care of the problem before the next victims/customers arrived. There were also a bunch of fruit-flies in the bathroom. I felt nauseated to say the least.

Yeah it was hot and a lot of folks were downtown which has it's on parking in/out issues doesn't help.\r
\r
But you find a pub and become invisible.............not cool. Once a tendar finally appears, there was apparent issue with going to the front end of the bar...maybe a union thing or somethig like lazy or unconcerned. I'm sure there was plenty of business on the sides, just no seating. \r
\r
Even the Lady being served pointed out we're there for a while; the dude said: ""All in Due T ime"". TIME BECAME DUE AND WE LEFT FEELING INSULTED., \r
\r
Ended up going to NAPPER TANDY which I think has a much greater atmosphere and better food. Guess what, they actually had personable staff.\r
\r
I'm normally a patient 'CUSTOMER!' But this rude dude made the experience BAD.\r
\r
I'll see ya' all 'IN DUE TIME' which means NEVER!\r

A Local band that I like plays this Pub and I have been a few times. . Admittedly I was not impressed the first time with the food or service.

My most recent visit was FAR better than previous visits. I have to say that the Corned Beef and Cabbage is one of the best meals I have eaten in a long time.

I am not too impressed with the price, but I think it is reasonable for a bigger city business.

Overall, I recommend giving this Pub a try,

My husband and I got married at Umstead Park on the 11th of April, and had the reception at Tir na nOg. Annie made things so very easy and took care of everything! We gave her a budget and she worked up a plan and an event that our guests will be talking about for years to come :) We had approximately 45 people at our reception, with buffet --> corned beef and cabbage, russian chicken, delicious soup and salad, roasted potatoes and steamed veggies. She even took care of the wedding cake for me! I had so much fun planning this event, and really enjoyed getting to know Annie throughout the process. it is clear that she loves what she does, and it SHOWS (if I had just a teeny bit of her energy, I'd be set!). Whether you are planning an event or just want a place to chill and listen to some wonderful live music, Tir na nOg will become a new favorite! I'm already trying to think of excuses to book the cottage again ;) Thanks Annie and Team!

My husband and I attended the Science Cafe held at Tir Na Nog on March 23rd. Despite a huge (unexpected) turn out for the lecture as well as an additional party of over 40, the staff were very accomodating and attentive to our needs. The meal was wonderful. We especially like Tir Na Nog because they have a good vegetarian variety (not vegan but meat-free). The prices are reasonable and the meals have been excellent every time we've eaten there. In fact, the selection of Tir Na Nog was one of the major factors in our decision to attend this Science Cafe...we actually drove from Bath, NC just for dinner and the lecture. We recommend Tir Na Nog highly! :)

My husband I went here (3/6/2010 around noon) for what we thought would be a pleasant lunch with our 2 year old after a nice morning at Kids Marble Museum across the street. I went to use the restroom and as I was walking back to my table, saw 2 male waiters hovering over a customer's salad picking off toppings and tossing them into a waste bin while a third female staff looked on as if nothing was wrong. I informed our waitress who sent over the manager on duty who proceeded to do damage control in the party room where the salad was served. She quickly said that she would be glad to cancel our order, thankfully we had not received it yet, but also said that the party being served in that room were friends of someone that worked there. Essentially, I felt that she didn't care and just wanted us out of there as quickly as possible. I even went into the party room and informed the patrons of what I saw, but of course the manager had already gone in and said no telling what to them and their response to me pretty much was they didn't mind the filty unsanitary handling of their food!! Needless to say, we left and will never go to this establishment and will let everyone we know about what we saw and how ineffectively it was handled....starting with the individuals who were about to walk in as we were leaving and quickly did a 360 after I informed them of what happened. Just nasty.

We had brunch here on our girls weekend before we left town. It was a fantastic brunch, and a great way to end our weekend. This was recommended by the concierge at our hotel, and I was tickled he sent us over. \r
\r
It is piles of food, not too expensive, and has some fun non-brunch style food mixed in with the regular brunch fare of potatoes and eggs. This is not where you go for your four-star expertly cooked brunch that has been vetted by Gordon Ramsey, but the food is not too far from really, really, really good, and it is just the spot for good eats, and to fill up on a gray Sunday morning before a long car ride home. and what an awesome atmosphere. \r
\r
Show up early for the best experience!\r

Cheers! What a great place! We'll be back this year!

Cons: Not four-star restaurant quality if that's what you're after

I went to this Irish Pub because it has been one of Raleigh's favorite bars in the last couple of years. The beer selection was excellent and the service was not bad. The food was terrible though. I ordered a hamburger and it was by far, the worst hamburger that I have ever had. The quality of the beef patty was good maybe if it was dog food, actually, I would not even feed that to my dog. If you are going to hang out with friends and have a couple of beers...go right ahead. If you are planning on eating here you should rethink your choice of pub. \r

Two out of three orders were barely warm. Steaks ordered medium and medium well arrived dark red. When I asked the waitress to warm up my steak, she told me that if it were to be warmed, it would no longer be medium. What? I can cook a medium rare steak that is hot! She just didn't understand, continued to insist that my medium steak could not be warm. So, okay, I'll stay home and do it myself next time. Also, neither steak was hot on the second go round, just barely warm. I won't go back.

Annie Nice has to be one of the nicest Irish (Americans?) living in the Raleigh area. Her restaurant is like being home (in Ireland). The food, the entertainment, the atmosphere and even the patrons who frequent Tir na Nog are worth the trip. Thank you Annie, for bringing a little bit of Ireland to North Carolina!!!

We've been here quite a few times, but our last visit had us scratching our heads. We have always had great food and great experiences at TNN, but went there recently and thought maybe they changed ownership. We've always loved the 'hummus of the day', but now they only have one offering. After looking over the smaller menu, we ordered a Veggie burger with fries and were served a beef burger and undercooked fries. We are never ones to send food back, but these fries were too bad to eat. The waitress even said the fries looked funny. She then brought out new fries which were overcooked--I'm guessing the cook had a good laugh over this one. Hopefully this is something that will change when the economy gets better, but if it's not it's a sad, sad loss for Raleigh.

You've gotta stop by Tir-Na-Nog for the Sun. brunch. It was great before. But the food has gotten even better. I'm told they have a new chef. There's always a new/different item on the spread(which keeps things fresh--both figuratively and literally). Try their lemon chicken; jambalaya; the chicken curry. Swing by to see what they have that week. It's a pretty good deal for AUCE at $11.95. And for those of us who are waking up late after a good time the night before, it helps that it goes on until late into the early afternoon.

i have no idea how to say the name of this place, but it still ROCKS! i was visiting Raleigh this past weekend and there was a good snow storm going on. And if anyone is from Raleigh, they know that when there's a silly old 3-8inch snow storm, the whole state goes into a state of emergency... Raleigh shuts down and it's literally a GHOST TOWN! But where was the party at that night? It was right here at Tir Na Nog... the friend that I was visiting that lives there is from Chicago, like me. So a little snow doesn't bother us. We walked from our hotel to this place to have a bite to eat and drink the night away. Props for staying open during the snow storm... Props for serving yum-tastic food... Props for having hot and friendly service... and Props on getting me good and full and drunk... GOOD TIMES at this place.

Best Irish music around. Love the ghosts of erin. A traditional band thats got it going on. Great bodhran, guitar, and vocals too. Keep them Coming!\r
Fine pints; but, the food is lacking. Service at the bar is good; but, can't say the same if you sit down for a meal. Bottom line: Come for the tunes and drinks and get your grub elsewhere.\r

Pros: Irish Music, Bar

Cons: Food

While it can take a while to get your first beer at the Nog, the rest normally come in much faster, once you've established yourself with the bar staff. The Guinness is very much the wait, and I don't think I've ever had a bad pour there. They do the normal two part pour, yielding an excellent pint; utilizing a Nitro-gas mix.\r
\r
On the food, the bangers and mash is always good.\r
\r
The atmosphere is quite good; lots of bar traffic on a busy night. Plenty of seating if you'd rather keep to yourself.\r
\r
The booking manager, Annie Nice, does a particularly good job with booking local and out of town live bands. I've personally seen ""Enter the Haggis"" - a Canadian celtic rock band - go see these folks or check them out if you can. I've had the good fortune to see Dexter Romweber play on stage at the Nog, with about thirty people in the bar; and Big Boss brewery lovelies pouring us beer all night. You know you can't get that kind of personal attention elsewhere. \r
\r
Annie also does a great job of supporting local Irish music. The Ghosts of Erin play there semi regularly; and while being personal friends of mine, deserve a mention. They use a variety of instruments - Bodhran, Uellian Pipes. It's worth heading down to see the band just to hear Eric Hahn play pipes. Chad holds the rhythm down with the Bodrahn and our man Jerbo plays guitar, lute (evoking a haunting use of time) and fiddle. They play old-traditional songs, and leave the pub-drinking songs to other bands. I recorded a few tracks from a recent concert there. This should help one get a feel for the place :- \r

Tir Na Nog has the convivial atmosphere of a traditional Irish pub. The menu includes excellent corned beef, other tasy Irish items, and well-executed American selections. The beer selection is good too, with a regular rotation of locally brewed drafts. Friends and families go there to relax and have a good time. We go for drinks, dinner, and live music, particularly Irish traditional music. Tir Na Nog regularly sponsors local Irish traditional bands. These bands evoke the spirit of an Irish caeli. My favorite trad band is The Ghosts of Erin. They avoid the overplayed songs, they involve the crowd with infectious rhythms, and they play wonderful instruments such as the Uilleann pipes, lute, and djembe. Check them out the next time they play at Tir Na Nog.

If you like Fish and Chips, you need to try this place! Its the best I've ever had! They have live music regulary, and a laid back atmosphere! A little hard to find in downtown Raleigh, but well worth it when you do.

Putting my feelings about this bar into words is almost impossible. I spent 4 great years in Raleigh attending North Carolina State University, and this was our pub of choice. I have visited Ireland, and no other Pub in the area makes you feel as if you stepped off of a Raleigh street and into Downtown Dublin. The food is FANTASTIC, and the beer selection is fit for a king. I moved from the area after graduation, but everytime I am in raleigh I make it a POINT to go to Tir Na Nog. The music, tha atmosphere and the AMAZING staff make this a must for any Irish American, or any one who wishes they were. So the next time you visit the best city on earth, stop in Tir Na Nog, raise a pint, and toast! ""May you reach heaven 1 min. before the Devil knows you're dead!""

We recently held ur son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Tir na nog Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the restaurant. The food was awesome, especially the ""Cottage Pie"". The other food selections were nice complements to the main dish. We liked having a private room and access to a Video player and a big screen. The tables were nicely decorated and I think everyone had a great time. Working with Management and staff was a pleasure. We would gladly recommend this restaurant to anyone needing a party location. Thanks you to Tir Na nog for making our rehearsal dinner a great success and a night full of wonderful memories.

I guess I'm kind of bias becaue I go there enough to be called a regular, but I am honest also. TNN is by far the most awsome Irish pub in the area, Not only is it a pub, but it is also the heart of the celtic community in the Triangle. They consitantly bring in traditional caltic entertainers and provide a meeting place for celtic culture enthusiasts.\r
As far as food, I thought it was great before the new menu. The new menu is nothing short of AWESOME. The Sunday brunch is really something alo. I hadn't had eggs benedict in years, and there it was on the buffet. I ate so much I was hurting when I left. The staff at TNN is as good as it gets. Great service always with a smile and conversation if that's to your liking. I'm a people person so it's a good fit for me. Thursday nights get pretty loud because it is local band night but there is always tables outside with a view of Moore Square. (My personal favorite) TNN is also the favorite restaurant of both my children 9 & 13

Wonderful and I would expect to be paying top $$$ But the price is very reasonable . Keep on rocking Tir Na Nog. You just keep on getting better and better.

If you like Guiness this is the place. OUTSTANDING. The food was excellent too, which was a pleasent suprise. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage (of course!). They served a dish that looked nothing like the tradtional cbac. It was out of this world though. Really good!

I was highly impressed with the Irish food, but glad they had some more ""American"" dishes so I could go even w/ a picky eater! I haven't tried any of their beers yet, but they had a great selection, & there's always lots of entertainment. They even have a newsletter of ""Irish"" happenings in the Triangle. We arrived for an early supper, expecting the place to be empty, but there were a good number of patrons, which I found to be a good omen. Our waiter was quite curt, which is the only reason I refrained from rating Tir Na Nog a 5, but that could be only 1 person. A waitress serving a nearby table seemed quite competent & polite.

What a breath of fresh air, away from the hipster restaurants and college bars downtown is Tir Na Nog. Despite its open atmosphere, the friendly staff and ambiance make it a cozy experience. I love sitting at the bar on a Friday night, the bartenders and waitresses know their stuff and always make great suggestions for soemthing new to drink. The guiness wings are out of the world, smoky, sweet, and a little spicy, which is just what you need to go with your pint. The sunday brunches are great, it's a great way to try traditional Irish-American food if you're a little gunshy. It's the first place I take any of my friends visiting Raleigh.

My wife and I visited Tir Na Nog a couple of weeks ago for a busy Friday night dinner. My waitress was wonderful and very welcoming. The food took FOREVER to come out and when it finally arrived our order wasn't quite right. I ordered a side salad with my beef wellington that never came out. My waitress did not bring out my food and I feel like she would have remembered the salad because she noticed I was without it as soon as she approached the table. The beef wellington was rather tough and served with a biscuit that looked like a top hat on my beef....rather odd looking. The meat tasted like a cheap grade and was rather tough. My wife ordered the chicken potpie which literally tasted like the meat had gone bad. She would never send food back even if the order was wrong, but there was no way she was eating this. We ended up sharing mine. There was also some dried up food stuck to the side of my plate which was obviously not from anything I was eating. I was amazed that I received food on a dirty plate! Later, the Irish woman who introduced herself as the general manager came to speak with us and couldn't even answer simple questions about the beer selection. She did not know if her restaurant had Killians of tap or not. (They do if anyone is interested). She referred me to the bar manager who was currently behind the bar. I ended up speaking with her for quite some time about the beer selection and she was quite knowledgeable. I was very impressed with both my waitress and bartenders microbrew suggestions based on what I liked to drink. I loved the Copper Ale and my wife really enjoyed the White Rascal. My overall impression left me not wanting to revisit this place again unless it was strictly for drinks.

We stopped into Tir Na Nog after church this past Sunday. I had been in a few months back.. I left full but not overly impressed. This visit changed my entire view. I am delighted to say all was changed and for for the better. A wonderful and very varied selection of hot savory dishes, Plus a suberb selection on the sweet tray. My waistline somewhat thicker on leaving I vowed to return and soon.

Went there and had the shepperd's pie. I was very disappointed. There was a hug pile of mashed potatoes (1.5 inches thick) on an extremely thin layer of meat (if it could even be considered a layer). The potatoes weren't even hot all the way through and neither was the meat. Neither of which tasted like anything special. Very bland. Not sure about the other dishes on the menu, but an irish place should know how to make shepperd's pie. Good beer selection though if all you want to do is drink.

On Saturday night we were treated to authentic Irish food, Irish entertainment and Irish hospitality. If you are looking for a slice of the auld country...look no further than Annie Nice and the 'Craic Squad' at Tir Na Nog!!\r

We recently paid a visit to Tir na nog for the advertised lunch special. It was wonderful. It had been a while since I had fish and chips. The fish was crisp and just lovely. We plan to return to try the Sunday brunch. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Recently returned to Tir Na Nog to try the Sunday brunch. A wonderful selection of dishes. The curried meatballs were excellent and a nice change from the normal run of the mill brunch selections. my wife loved the chicken salad and we both had a tough time dragging ourselves away from the desert table. Fresh breads and fruit made the entire experience a winner.

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to visit a REAL Irish Pub then this is the place to go. The atmosphere, even on nights when it is very busy, is homey and friendly. The staff takes the time to answer any question you may have concerning the different entrees that they offer and make recommendations based on what you are in the mood for. There is an casual area set up on one side of the restaurant for people to sit and have a brew, talk or whatever. In the early part of the evening there are usually families there with children of all ages. The nice thing about that is that the kids seem to be having as much fun as the parents are simply because the atmosphere encourages it. It's great to have a place where people can go and have a good time with the children. The food is also another big deal here. With a menu that covers 4-5 pages the only problem is trying to decide what you want to eat. The Cottage Pie is always good and Scotch Egg is a great way to start the meal. Regardless of what you decide on it you won't be disappointed, just make sure you save room for their bread pudding. Or better yet, start with the bread pudding so you won't miss out on the great experience (kind of a reverse meal thing). Bottom line is: after eating there you will wonder why you don't eat there more often.
