This store smells funny and its a bit messy, but I like it anyway. You can find some good stuff here and the prices are GREAT. I got all of the rugs for my apartment at Big Lots. They arent the best quality, but they serve their purpose and I spent under 60 bucks for them. The service is okay and theres always plenty of parking. This place is good for anyone living on a limited budget. I wouldnt buy food from there though and be sure to inspect the products for damage before you buy them.

I, like the other reviewer, have bought budget-minded items from this store. It is not the most organized, and there are certainly things that I would not buy (the clothing looks really cheap and low quality) - but overall, it's a good place to shop for basics on a budget.

I NOT RECOMMEND TO LEFT YOUR MONEY IN A PLACE THAT HAVE A BAD TREATMENT FOR YOUR CUSTOMER. AS A VISITING SCHOLAR IN NC STATE LIVING IN ES KING VILLAGE B15, WAS CONVENIENT FOR ME TO BUY IN THE BIG LOTS IN WESTERN BLVD. INDEED I LEFT ALMOST $1000 DOLLARS THERE SINCE I CAME. AFTER 6 MONTHS BUYING A CHINESE (?), THEY ARE IN ALL PLACE IN EARTH! ASKED ME TO LEFT MY BAG BACK IN BACON, OR PERHAPS IN THE FLOOR, SINCE DO NOT HAVE APPROPRIATE PLACE TO THIS THERE, I DON'T KNOW IF THE FLOOR IS CLEAN OR IF IS SAFE TO MY MONEY, BANK CARDS, AND PASSAPORT. AFTER 6 MONTHS THIS "PERSON" THINK THAT I AM A THIEF OR A ANOTHER THING IN YOUR TORTUOUS MIND. I DO NOT NEED TO BUY THERE ANYMORE.

PROS: IF IT IS CLOSE TO YOUR HOME
CONS: ALL PRODUCTS ARE FROM CHINE

I really love shopping in Big Lots because you can save money on certain things. Where you need to be careful is in the toys, for one, because you'll pay twice the price that you can get get in on sale for at K-mart or Wal-Mart. I do buy some of their food items, but mostly just seasonings and bottled water. You just gotta check the dates. Their 20 oz. drinks up at the registers are cheaper there than anywhere else too. I like their furniture because I have kids and with all the abuse furniture can get from bumping and banging around, I don't want want to invest a lot. I have bought many furniture items from here. Of course, as in most cases, you usually get what you pay for, but I have been lucky with mine so far.
