Hair Color Xperts At Carmel

I have to brag on my stylist of over 2 years now, Sara! I visit her every 3 weeks for a single process and she also cuts and highlights my hair as well. Most recently, she did the Lasio Keratin Protein straightener on my hair which has made a HUGE difference in the texture of my very coarse hair. It is silky smooth and looks great! Thank u Sara ! Seriously, the entire salon staff is very professional and warm and all know what they are doing. You see that from repeat clients everytime im in there to see Sara. I feel the cost and quality of service is unsurpassable. Recommend Sara to all of u!!!

New to NC for almost 1 yr. Even from the North where I basically have my roots. My last best hairstyist was about 15 yrs. ago. (On a recommendation frm my fellow BFF from the North, I made an appointment with her girl Mariellla and finally found my next and hopefully last Best Hairstylist yet. She knew exactly how to cut my unrully naturally curly hair so that if I wore it straight or curly it always looked great. (Best when she blew it out for me first of course). Even when I went past my due time to cut it. It would still grow out with some style. No waiting for the S#*%! stage to pass. Need a name-ask for Mariella to be your stylist. You will LUV HER! as much as my BFF & I do. (P.S.-I'm a former hairstylist myself)

This was my second visit with Amy, and I love her!!!
I have tried about 3 salons since moving here about 8 months ago, my fiance and I just bought a home in the area when we received a coupon in the mail from Haircolorxperts. I thought ok I'll try this place but have no expectations since everyone here thinks hilights here should be really blond. Oh, was I wrong!!! When I went to the salon it was nice and very friendly they offer you beverages while you wait which wasn't long.
Amy first sat me down and had me l tell her everything that I had experienced in the last 8months. She was very patient and understanding, and got that I didn't want this all over fake really blond color up top and this dark color underneath. She suggested that I get full head hilights, to break up the darkness underneath and tone the blond down to a nice golden wheat color, then on my next visit to get a partial hilight and add just a few lowlights to break up the solid blond color on my ends. The reason for that was to save me on cost, which by the way she went over the prices before she started doing anything to my hair to make sure it fit my budget. How great is that!!!
I just went for my second visit and she did exactly what she said she was going to do. This time I also got a haircut and she was very careful not to take to much off because I'm growing my hair out for my wedding. I would recommend her to any of those blonds out there who want to be natural looking and not fake blond.

Beth has highlighted and cut my hair 2 times and I want to share her with you...she is really, really top notch!!!

My hair color is stunning and so beautiful. I love looking
at the color and she has done a wonderful job to keep me looking natural while getting rid of those ugly greys!

Also, she has worked with me with products as my hair is very fine and thinning. Great person and all costs are
known so there is no surprise and that sits well with me.

Clearly she enjoys hair and her knowledge of color is
outstanding. I highly recommend her as you'll not be
disappointed.

When I first went to the salon I was frustrated with my hair and my prior hairdresser. I have been having my hair colored for years. I have been a brunette and a blonde at different times. About two years ago a hairdresser really destroyed my hair when she was touching up my roots. I had long hair at the time and was heartbroken when I had to cut it off very short due to it being FRIED!!! I changed salons but was never able to get my hair looking and feeling good again. When my husband called Hair Color Experts I was very worried because I thought that I needed to go to a real expensive spa to get what I needed to fix my hair, but I was SO WRONG. She gave me far more than I ever expected. I recently had her cut my hair short again and I have never had so many compliments on my hair in my whole life. I swear that when I am out, at least one person will ask me who does my hair. We were out of town on a business trip to a different state and I had a lady come up to me and ask me if she could take pictures of my hair to show to her hairdresser. I gave her my number and she sent me pictures of her new hair style done almost as well as mine.(ha ha). Everytime I come home from the salon my husband loves it because my hair looks great and I am always in the best mood because Julie keeps me so entertained and happy while I am there. This is the first review that I have ever taken the time to write about anyone. Julie is the BEST!!!

My daughter and I both go to this salon and we both go to Andre. We really love his work! He always listens and gives his advice on what will look good and what will be trendy and upto date.

My daughter likes to get highlights and colored locks.. like blue or purple or pink!!! She is very picky about her hair and has never really liked a stylist before...we have had self-cutting disasters!! Andre always listens to her and gives his opinion on the best cut and style...and, she listens to him...which is great!

I am more traditional...wanting blonde highlights and a nice layered bob-type. Andre always does the best highlights...advises when to do partial highlights and full. Last time he even said that my hair was getting too washed out on the ends and suggested putting in lowlights instead...and it looks great. I used to have a shorter bob and he suggested growing it out some and I am happy with that too.

In conclusion: If you want someone to really do what is going to look best on you, with your lifestyle and with your hair type...give this salon a try.

My experience with Wendy at this salon was outstanding. I had been going to another salon for awhile, even though I wasn't getting good results, simply out of loyalty. I finally decided, I needed to find a place that could see what needed to be done. I can assure you that I will continue to go to Wendy from now on. I hope you do too.

Nov 12th I decided I wanted to be blond. I had brownish hair with the roots growing out. (Roots dirty blond) I went to Sally?s and spoke to someone who carefully instructed me . I did everything right. My hair on the other hand did not do anything right. LOL My roots were white and the rest was canary yellow. It was horrible and I was mortified. I refused to go to work the next day and started calling salons. Everyone wanted a consultation just to make an appointment. BLAH! This could take weeks! A ray of hope though, haircolorexperts could get me in the next day! I had hope. Hair feeling like straw and looking like tweedy bird on a bad day I felt blessed to get anyone so soon to fix my mess. I also had a engagement party to go in two days. I come into the place with a cap on my head revealing NOTHING. Everyone was great! My stylist Beth handed it to me straight exactly what she could do. I was skeptical but hopeful. While she worked on my head for 3 hours I drank red wine and relaxed. I felt really comfortable she was going to do great. Nothing burned or hurt my head and it was looking like she was getting progress. Results; not only did my hair turn out the prettiest color blond I have ever had it but it was soft and shinny. Miracle if you ask me. LOL I will not only keep this color but I will never let another person (Even myself) for as long as she is there touch my hair. The experience was just a blessing and the next day I got an abundance of complements. Thanks Beth!

I just moved to Charlotte and had really bad highlights from before, they were too blond and didn't look natural at all. So I read about hair color xperts online and made an appointment with sara. She made my color look so natural again!!! I am SO satisfied with what she has done, she really toned it down but kept it looking blond, she did exactly what i wanted. So if you just moved here or want to correct your color or are just looking for someone new, i highly recommend this place and especially sara!

I highly recommed haircolorxperts. I've only been there once so far but I would highly recommend it. I went to haircolorxperts after trying to color my hair at home. I was trying to go from dark brown hair to blonde. Needless to say it was a home made disaster. I arrived for my appointment with Beth, a hair color genius, looking like an orange crayon. She corrected my hair color and turned me into a blonde bombshell. The staff was extremely courteous and professional and I left out of there feeling like a star.

When I began going to Haircolorxperts, I was new to the area & growing my hair out for donation. I was very worried about going to a new salon since I had had the same great stylist for several years, but I took the plunge because of the reviews here.
I decided to set up a consultation & just have trims for a few months until it was time to cut my hair for Pantene's Beautiful Locks. I felt that would give me an opportunity to get to know my stylist & the salon. My initial experience was not good. The product was great but my stylist that was not for me. She didn't listen to me during the consultation & didn't understand my needs. The time came closer for me to cut my hair but I did not want my initial stylist to actually do it. There was another stylist in the salon similar to my style who I was interested in having do my cut. Keeping up with current trends is important to me.
I set up my appt. for my cut and was blessed from the hair gods above! My initial stylist, who I was uncomfortable with, was out due to illness & they offered me the stylist who I wanted, JULIE! Haircolorxperts knew that this cut was VERY important to me & wanted to work with me, to either wait or go with Julie. I didn't hesitate, I asked for a consultation with Julie and dove in.
Julie listened to me more in the 5 minute consultation than any other stylist ever had. My hair was very long and straight because of the weight but it really is thick, wavy, curly, straight mixed up hair that I love to rock when shorter. BUT since I'm a full time student who has to go to a hospital for clinicals and can't plan on "fixing it" in the mornings the cut & color had to be easy to work with.
She listened, asked questions & had at it. My hair is awsome because of Julie's haircutting, color AND LISTENING skills! Make sure your stylist matches your lifestyle! The other stylist is great with others who are similar to her, but she wasn't for me...

Wow the reviews on here are totally decieving. I moved here several months ago and went with this salon because of all the high reviews. COLOR EXPERTS...
I don't think so. I asked for Chunky Blonde Highlights and seriously came out with Dark Brown Hair??? I know that's what I said when I looked in the mirror. When I asked where are my Blonde Highlights He replied with...I think you wanted to go to Blonde, I feel this looks better. AH NO...I have been Blonde for 14 years, YOU messed up the COLOR and now want me to pay for it$$$$$
Soooo Upset I will never go there again PLEASE if your going for color and Highlights DONT..I think the hairstylist are posting on here and not actual real clients.

I moved from San Diego to CLT and was in desperate need of a GOOD stylist. I went to Sara and she gave me great color the first time, however when I wanted to go lighter with blonde highlights the color never turned out right. It ended up being that my hair does not respond good to Wella products which is what they use. I was also a little annoyed that my appt. was never on time. I make a point to be on time or early to anything I commit to but it didn't do any good and they were usually 15-20 min behind schedule. The staff is all super friendly, prices are affordable, but the products they use don't work for me.

They write their own reviews! Note the similarity in language and length of posts and CAPS LIKE THIS and exclamation points!!!!! They are definitely expensive for what you get, but compared to other salons in Charlotte prices are average. I am usually pleased with the results and my experience with the staff has been pleasant.

I really liked this salon at first. The stylist was amazing! But after many visits, I found another salon. I really think they are too pricey. I was always unhappy that I asked the stylist to write down everything she did to my hair when I liked it so she could repeat it, and I had a few problems where I did not recieve the same cut, color, sylye each time, isn't it their job to know what they did, & duplicate it each time if that's what I ask?? especially at these prices? what exactly am I paying for? service!! if you want to keep the customer happy, & they ASK you to keep track of what you are doing for them so THEY can repeat it, isn't that what they are supposed to do? After 2 visits & the stylist could not exactly repeat what she had done, & I really could not tell her, as I am not the one who cuts & colors for a living, & paying way over $200 each time, for cut, color, etc. (full foils) one bill was almost $300, I finally said to myself: why am I paying them to make me unhappy? Also, I showed up late 1X due to a medical emergancy, & the guy at the counter had the nerve to tell me, sorry, we cannot see you today , you are 15 minutes late? Does the owner know he turned away a customer? First rule of business: NEVER TURN AWAY A PAYING CUSTOMER!! I bet she would not be happy if she knew he turned away a $200 plus client. Now come on, over the years, who has not been late to an appt and they still take you? While the stylist was very good, & I would have stayed there as a client for years, I got tired of paying way too much, for snooty service, & feeling very rushed, even though salon is very close to my house. Want to know why they have so many reviews? They ask each & every customer that walks in the place to make sure they go to citysearch & write a review!! So I guess they have to beg for reviews. They do not thrive on repeat customers, they are always looking for new ones. They have some talent but lack other skills. I hope they improve.

Julie was amazing! As soon as I got there I was greeted and made to feel comfortable. I have only had my hair cut at one other salon that was considered "more expensive" then the 12$ places, but HCX really made me feel comfortable. I was nervous because I was donating my hair so they had to cut at least 10 inches off. When it was all said and done I had 15 inches cut off and I feel great!! Julie took her time with my hair and really shaped it which I wasn't expecting, it looks awesome! I also got 10$ off for donating my hair! They are great and not that expensive for a cut, $45 is pretty good and worth it in IMO.

The front desk staff are very Friendly and Professional. Beth Rouse completed coloring, highlights and cut for my hair. She did a Fantastic job covering the gray's ( my concerns). She was very experienced in coloring, made suggestions, had to mix more color in the middle of doing my hair, it all was prefect match. I have recommended all to go to HCX from now on. It is a Great Place with friendly, happy people that know how to help anyone coming through the door.

Ask for Beth, she is GREAT!!

Pros: Friendly Service, fast, knowledgable, Great attitudes

Cons: Parking hard to find in evenings, during day better, high on cut prices.

I went to HCX to correct a bad color job from another stylist which I had gone to for years. I was very hesitate to go to someone new and especially since it could have been worst than my last. They booked me an appointment wtih Ashley and to my surprise she had quite a few years of experience with color and knew exactly what to do to correct my current situation. To be honest it was probably the best color job I have had in 20 years. I would highly recommend Ashley and the salon if you are looking for a new stylist and color expert.

Pros: Professional, knowledgable and close to home

Words can't describe the great gratitude to I have for Michael and the entire team! I walked in at 10:00 am with orange hair, I mean orange hair and they were completly booked. Michael called there sister location to try to fit me in but I had a business meeting in the afternoon and could not take that appointment. I was in a panic but Micheal ,Sara and George came to the rescue they made every effort to fit me in. I was very happy with the service and the geniuine concern they had for me. Honestly I think that Michael felt sorry for me and squeezed me in between the two stylist. I am very Thankfull and would highly recommened them to anyone!!!!! By the way Micheal makes a great cop of coffee!!!!!!!!!

Every time Andre does my hair, I?m amazed. He is incredibly talented and fun to be around. Andre successfully gives me a natural looking color and fabulous cut that fits my hair and face. He is genuine, creative and extremely skilled at his job. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to look beautiful.
Hair Color Experts is the best salon I've ever visited!

Pros: They play great music, serve refreshments, it's an extremely relaxing atmosphere.

Cons: It's 45 minutes away from where I live, but I still go!! Totally worth the drive!

I moved here and needed to find a good stylist who was near to Ballantyne-Piper Glen area. I had been with one stylist at HaircolorXperts and was very happy until I needed a quick spruce up and she was off. I tried the new kid on the block, George, who I am very pleased with. He listens very well, is very creative and I come out looking just the way I want. I just recommended my husband to go see George, too, and he looks great. We are both in our 50's and don't want to look like young kids but also don't want hair styles that make us look old. Anyone at any age will be happy here, for sure. The service is top notch, the stylists are friendly, happy and not snobby at all, beverages are offered, and the feeling is serene. I also get my reminder call from Michael which helps me keep on track for my next hair color with the Xperts!

Pros: Always parking and its free! Places for lunch next door.

Earlier this week, I was desperate to get my hair highlighted. Like most people, once I got the itch, I could barely wait. I called around to a few different places and with the combination of price, quality, and reputation, I decided to go to haircolor experts. I was a little nervous because I have tried to get this "look" for sometime now, but my normal hairdresser could never seem to achieve it. Right away, I was greeted with smiling faces and they were able to get me in the same day I called. I explained to Julie exactly what I was looking for, even brought in some pictures, and told her I was kind of on a time frame. She could not have been ANY nicer, and was keeping my time frame in mind the whole time. By the end of the service, I was completely amazed. She had gone beyond my expectations and given me EXACTLY what I wanted. Also, I was in and out in no time! My mom, sister, and all my friends that have seen my new highlights, want to go and get it done themselves. You CAN NOT beat the price and customer service at haircolor experts (trust me I called about every place in charlotte)!! The salon is extremely clean, organized, and everyone was smiling! In addition, I would 100% recommend Julie! She was experienced, personal, and clearly understood and executed EXACTLY what I asked for!! I can honestly say, I will not go back to my former hairdresser because I have found the place to be and person to do it, JULIE!!!

I just moved to Charlotte in June and have had an AWFUL time trying to find someone that could do a nice job on my hair. I decided to give it one last ditch effort and began searching on the internet for salons. I found tons of great reviews for Haircolorxperts in Pineville and decided to make an appointment with Sara to see if she was really as great as people said she was. I knew I wanted my hair to be a blonde color that went well with my skin tone, I'm pretty indecisive and like when stylists make knowledgeable suggestions and decisions for me- after all, they are the professionals. I picked out some pictures in a magazine at the salon and explained to Sara what I was thinking, she gave suggestions, explained the process to me and gave me her HONEST genuine opinion. It was so nice to talk to someone who was willing to give me a professional opinion. The color came out fantastic, the blonde color didn't make me look washed out, it was perfect! The cut was wonderul as well, and something that I'll easily be able to style myself at home. Sara also waxed my eyebrows and did a really nice job. She's a true perfectionist and made me feel like I was her only client of the day. Please believe me, I'm extremely fussy about my hair and am so weary about reviews, but now I see what all the hype's about, Sara really is GREAT! I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who's searching for a great hair dresser, I'm really excited to go back! :o)

Beth was recommended by a friend, and I'm so glad! The first time I went in, I thought I had a picture of what I wanted, but I couldn't find it. I told her I printed it off the internet, so she pulled it up and printed another copy for me. She sat down and talked to me about what I wanted, and then to my surprise, she went over the cost with me - I've NEVER been anywhere where they discussed the price with me and verified I was ok with it. I love the color and the cut - I've gotten many compliments on both. After she did such a good job with my hair, I took my teenage daughter in for a few highlights and a cut. She sat down with me and my daughter, and discussed what she wanted and what I was ok with her getting. AGAIN, before she started she sat down with me and discussed the price. My daughter's hair looked AMAZING!
She LOVES her hair and it's not always easy to please a teenager. Her hair is very thick and when we left the salon she said it felt the best it had ever felt, and she LOVED the color and the cut.
Also, from the time you walk in the door, the staff is very friendly. They made me feel very comfortable and welcome, and that is not always the case in an upscale salon.
We will definitely be back!

I have NEVER liked going into a salon, never felt comfortable putting my hair in someone else's hands. For me getting a haircut is the most nerve wracking thing I can think of. I have always had super long hair. When I say always, I mean my entire 29 years of life. The shortest it's ever been is mid back. So when i decided a few weeks ago that I wanted a shorter cut, I did A LOT of research, to find the perfect stylist. I was encouraged by all the reviews for haircolorxperts on here and so I chose them. I made an appointment with Sarah Patterson. I showed her 11 pictured of cuts like I wanted, a layered inverted bob with the front reaching my shoulders and the back a few inches shorter but still covering my neck, with choppy eyebrow skimming bangs. She suggested a razor cut instead of scissors.She seemed to really get what I wanted. She seemed really excited about it too. At one point she thanked me for coming in because she so rarely gets to do anything so artistic and free form with a razor cut. She made me feel so comfortable the entire time. She's funny and friendly and put me at ease even though my entire body was tense from the minute I entered the salon. She took me from shaking and tense to relaxed and laughing. And my hair turned out amazing. I've been stopped half a dozen times already today by women who want the name of my stylist.
Sarah is truly an artist. And she made me feel so good about going from super long hair to my first ever shorter cut. I went in thinking I would end up crying when I saw all my hair on the floor, but instead I was laughing and smiling the whole time. I highly recommend Sarah for her talent and her personality. And the man at the counter was also really sweet and friendly. Everyone there is wonderful. I have never before left a salon so ecstatic about my hair! And i feel like I made a new friend as well as found a new stylist!

I've been to other salons before and I was recommended to go to Hair Color Experts (HCX). This was my first time at HCX and I'm really glad I went. All of the staff were very friendly, I felt so welcome.
George was my stylist and he was awesome! He walked me through each step of my color and cut and told me exactly what he was doing so there were no surprises. I was also really pleased withe the results-- my hair looked and felt great.
HCX was a relaxed and plesant atmosphere (from the beginning to the end) I would recommend it to anyone. :)

Okay.... it was clear nobody was gonna give me a clue about George's talent!!! So I decided to put on my "big girl pants" and take the risk this past Saturday. AM I EVER THRILLED THAT I DID!!!!!!!!! I went in with highlights that were too blonde, hair that was dried and frazzled, and a cut that I could do nothing with.....I came out with the perfect color and highlights for my skin tone, a fabulous cut that makes me look at least 10 years younger, and the shiniest healthiest hair I've ever seen on MY head! Thanks George....you are THE BEST STYLIST I have ever been to! I look forward to my next appointment.....without the anxiety this time. ;-)

I moved here from Greenville NC and I was nervous about finding a new stylist. After reading the great reviews about Marielle at haircolorexperts I decided to give her a try. I could not stop talking about my hair to husband when I left. She did an excellent job with my highlights. I highly recommend blondes going to her. Everyone there is super nice. This salon is off the hook!

I heard so many wonderful things about Marielle through friends and family members. I was very excited to get my hair cut and colored by her. When I called to make an appointment I was dissapointed to hear that her next opening was in three weeks. Because I can be somewhat impatient, I made the horriable decision to go somewhere else. What a mistake! I called my sister, who is a client of Marielles, and told her about my hair nightmare. To make a long story short, Marielle had me in to see her the next day. I looked like a new women when she was done. I have never had so many people stop me on the street or in the office and compliement my hair. Trust me, Marielle is worth the wait.

After visiting such salons as Carmen! Carmen! and Planet 21 among other reccomends, I found the staff only to be pretentious and cold. I didn't want to be made to feel uncomfortable when I was spending so much money to treat myself! I had a video coming up and called up Hair Color Xperts on Caramel the weekend before my shoot. The guy on the phone sold me before I ever got into the Salon! Michael was so friendly and made me feel like their most important client. When I got there, he introduced me to Hilary and told her I was the new "family member". I wanted to go from blonde to brunette, and no other stylist would ever do that for me - until Hilary. She did exactly what I wanted and it came out even better than I had pictured! I go back at least once a month for her newest hair cut techniques and to keep darkening my hair! Everyone always asks me where I get my hair done, and even my picky latino husband loves everything she does! If I ever move away from Charlotte, I'm taking them with me!

I got cut off because of the amount of characters I am allowed but I just wanted to also say that we did rebook we will be back and I cannot wait until I get my haircut in 2 weeks. I was a hair stylist for 34 year before retiring due to carpal tunnel. It touches me deeply to find a salon who seems to truely care about the job they do and the result they get. I was in awe of the great relationship of everyone in the salon. Knowing the business I know what can go on behind scenes, you felt none of this in the salon. Along with the fact that my daughters commented on how their stylist countinued to talk about them and not about there personal lives. That puts a fathers heart at ease when he leaves his young children with strangers. Thank you very mch Hair Color Xperts. Like I said we will be back many many times.

I have been getting my hair done at Color Xperts for a while now. Sara usually is the one that does my hair but I Hillary has also colored my hair when Sara wasn't available. They both did a fabulous job and I have never disliked anything they have done to my hair. Each time I have went there, everyone was very nice and friendly and always made sure I felt comfortable. I highly recommend Color Xperts to anyone.

I have been dedicated to this salon for the past two years! Michael or Brian are always at the front with a smile on his face ready to help! Hillary has been cutting my hair and I love her creative eye! I usually just sit in the chair and tell her to cut my hair as she see fits. She has never missed! This salon is great, there is always coffee and you should see the holiday decorations! There is such energy around the salon, happy customers, a cheerful staff, and lots of clipping. I would recommend this salon to anyone who wants a great cut!

I know of next to no hair places in Charlotte, but I have found that the staff at Hair Color Xperts is one of the best I've ever met. Hilary and Sarah have been gems to me, and I really appreciate their service, professionalism, and embracing spirits. If you are looking for a true salon experience, check these ladies out.

I live in West Virginia and have been going to see Sara at Hair Color Xperts for several years. Every haircut and hair color that she has done for me in the past has been great! The staff in this salon are welcoming and give you an excellent hair experience with each and every visit. The name says it all, each of the staff members are experts in what they do and will only give you the best services! If you want a stylish haircut and wonderful haircolor, where people will ask" where did you get your hair done?" Then this is the place to go! I would highly recommend this hair salon for individuals of any age! : )

I have been going to Hair Color Xperts at Carmel Commons for several years now and I've never been happier with my cut, color, and the new friends I have made. Marielle & Sara have both cut my hair and every time, I leave with the perfect cut and color. This salon makes you feel like an old friend or part of the family as soon as you walk in the door. From Michael at the front desk (the most talented man I've ever met) to the many talented stylists (Marielle, Sara, Hilary, Andre, etc.), you will not be disappointed. All the stylists helped on my wedding day a month ago by creating the perfect do's for my bridesmaids and myself. They were on time and stuck with the theme of the days. They definitely contributed to my perfect day. One of my favorite wedding pictures is the close-up of my hair! If you are looking for a comfortable salon to try out a new style or stick with the usual, Hair Color Xperts is the place!!!

What a great find in Haircolorxperts! If you desire quality at an affordable price, visit Haircolorxperts and you will not be disappointed. I?ve been going to Hilary now for 1.5 years and I?m amazed each time that I look into the mirror! Hilary is very detail-oriented and strives for perfection. She schedules each appointment to give only the best service and is very thorough in her consulting. She actively listens to my requests but is honest about what does and does not work for my hair type. After the results of the first visit I let Hilary take over the total ?creative control? of my hair. The cut, color, style (and low maintenance) looks fabulous each time and fits perfectly with my professional goals and activities.

Hilary as well as every stylist in the salon is very serious about his or her career. Each person spends a lot time to learn new techniques, attend workshops, courses and seminars, and stay up-to-date on the most recent styles (as well as invigorating the classic). The stylists at Haircolorxperts are highly professional but very friendly and welcoming. The energy and enthusiasm in the salon is incredible! I am acknowledged and greeted by most of the other stylists and staff during my visit, and I always feel right at home.

I?ve paid twice as much at nationally featured salons and I haven?t experienced the great results I?ve received from Hilary and Haircolorxperts. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Julie @ Hair Color Xperts! She's awesome. She listens and will not do you wrong! She has an eye for what would be and is appealing to your facial structure along with what suits your lifestyle! She helps with styling tips and is just a joy chatting too. It's like having your done by your best friend (only you leave feeling great / loving your hair and not having had your hand dipped in warm water to pp in your pants - unless you laughed too hard with Julie). I would follow her anywhere and so glad to see her at HCX! I'd stand out on the street and ask people to see her - that is how confident I am in her and what she has done for me and my hair!!! Jules I love you!!!! Thank you for your patience and brilliance with a brush and scissors (let me not forget color too)!!!!

I just moved to Charlotte from Wilmington, and I was weary about going to a new stylist. However, I called HCX at Carmel and explained what I was looking for in a stylist. I set up an appointment with Ashley. I loved her from the second I met her! She paid close attention to what I was looking for, she even took notes!! Then she carefully explained how to blowdry my new look. And to top it all off, Ashley has the best personality! She was very fun and interesting to talk with:-) I highly recommend HCX and Ashley!!!

I just moved from New York to South Carolina and have been looking for a good stylist to cut and color my hair. Well, I thought I had found one but, when I walked out with un-intentional green hair I realized that I didn't! The search was on for a salon that could repair the damages that hadbeen done. Thank goodness I found all these wonderful reviews about HCX! I called immediately and made an appointment with Sara. Yes, it was an hour drive but in the end it was SOOOOO worth it!!!! Sara is amazing! She was very friendly and made me feel so comfortable, she took the time to talk with me and decide what would be the best way to get rid of the green hair. SUCCESS!!! the green hair is gone and I have a new style too! Sara is a true artist!! I can't begin to express how pleased I am! The Salon offers an extremely friendly atmosphere...and you gotta love Michael! He too was very friendly, and he loves Boxers! That's just the icing on the cake for me! I highly recommend this salon, but most of all Sara!

After moving to NC from NJ 2 1/2 years ago I've been on a never-ending quest for a great stylist/colorist. Well, I've finally found Daniel at HCX. He first highlighted my daughter's hair (a hard-to-please 17 year old), and did a phenomenal job. So, I took a leap of faith and made an appointment with him. Daniel really listened to my concerns and was very attentive to what I was I was trying to achieve with my cut and color. Well, my results were awesome! I?ve just been back for a touchup and left just as happy as the first time. The entire staff at HCX is very professional and accommodating. And with my busy schedule, their confirmation phone calls are extremely helpful! Being open on Sundays is a plus too! When I get compliments on my hair (which happens frequently), I certainly rave about Daniel and the professional staff at HCX. Oh, and by the way, the reason Daniel was running behind for the woman in the review below (8/01/07 twc1960) was because of me. By no means was it Daniel?s fault, it was mine, as I was a first time client and he was making sure that he spent the time with me, so that he could provide me with the results I was seeking. Oh, and, to twc1960?.personally, I?m glad you are going somewhere else so I don?t have to run into you at HCX!

I rarely have time to go to salons and previous times left me unsatisfied. I found the rave reviews on here about HCX and decided to make an appointment. My stylist was Andre - very pleasant to talk to, had lots of suggestions and helped me find what I've been wanting in a haircut but never got from other salons.

Bottom line, I had a great experience and will definately be going back in the near future.

I found Marielle through a friend at my work. Marielle does such a great job with my coworkers cut and color, so I thought I would take a chance and give her a try. I was very nervous about trying something new with my look, so I brought tons of pictures. Marielle was so helpful with choosing which look was best for my face shape and skin tone. We ended up trying something that I would never have done with out her expertise. My hair looks great! And the best part is I get compliments all the time. Thank you again Marielle.

I started going to HCX about 2 years ago and have been with Sara since she started there. She is absolutely wonderful! Sara is an amazing colorist and stylist, not to mention just a great person in general. She is honest, open and truly interested in what you want to do with your hair. The salon itself is also very comfortable. I've gone to many of the 'upscale' salons in Charlotte and none of them compare to HCX. I love not feeling like I have to get dressed up to go get my hair done. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Recently I moved to Orlando, FL and miss Sara terribly! I am seriously considering waiting to get my hair done until I can make a visit back to Charlotte. I trust her that much!

I drove over an hour to this salon because it was rated #1 in Charlotte. I was told the stylist I had an appointment with (Daniel) was running late by 30 minutes. When I returned he still was behind and could not cut my hair. Another stylist (Andrea) offered to and I agreed althought I was not very happy about it. My hair was 1 1/2 inches longer on one side than the other. I brought pictures of front, back and sides of the style I wanted. There are gaps on one side of my hair, which were explained to me that my last stylist shaved my neck and did this which is a joke. I had to make an appointment in town with another stylist this week to try and straighten out my hair. I was told that it would have to grow back before I could have another cut to fix the mess. Would not recomment this salon to anyone. I was totally disappointed with my experience and the unprofessional manner of the salon. Will not waste the gas to go back.

marielle recently highlighted and layered my brunette, wavy hair. I have never been happy with a layered cut before because it was difficult to style and maintain in humid weather. However, the products she used to keep my hair from becoming frizzy are so effective that on a recent trip to the beach where the humidity was ridiculous....was hair remained soft and sleek looking...the way I styled it. My new style took 10 years off my look.....Thanks Marielle...see you in 4 weeks!
