Shopping at Bailey's is always a joy, but particularly so the other day. Katie at the Pandora counter is precious. She was sweet, helpful and patient as I labored over making a decision. She offered a great suggestion, which I am very happy with!!

I am a new customer to Bailey's. I have purchased two Pandora bracelets at bailey's and the service I received was wonderful. Erin was the best! The staff is knowledgable about hte Pandora line, which also helped me become knowledgable. Again, I just want to give them a shout out...they are the best. The whole staff is great!

I took my watch in for a repair and was given what I thought was a high quote. But, I decided that??s OK. It might be worth a little more for a local, certified, reputable dealer. I wouldn??t have to worry about shipping costs, long turn around time, etc. I was told it might take up to two weeks and that someone would call me when it was ready for pickup. Here??s where the problem starts. After two weeks I called and was told it wasn't ready. OK, I??m thinking it??s just taking a couple of extra days. No problem. Well, after four weeks I hadn??t heard anything so I called again. I was told that it would be ready by the end of the week (this was on a Monday) and someone would call me. So it's now been six weeks and I'm still waiting. This is completely unacceptable in my opinion and provided there are no problems with the repair when I do get it back, I??ll be going somewhere else, if needed, in the future.

I feel I should follow up my earlier review. I received a call from Jason at Bailey's and could tell that he had a genuine concern, not just a cursory interest, in this situation. He assured me that this was atypical of their customer service and he would address whatever caused this. I met Jason when I picked up my watch and found him to be as genuine in person as he was on the phone. He admitted this should not have occurred and went above and beyond what I expected to reestablish my confidence in Bailey's.

I wanted to write a quick note to share my wonderful experience at Bailey??s Fine Jewelry. Mr. Bailey took the time out of his busy day to share some stories with me the other day. He came over and chatted with me like I was the most important customer in the world. I so enjoyed the stories he shared. However, what was more special to me was that he took so much time talking with me. I have no doubt that he is an extremely busy man with many duties always there for his attention. And even though I feel like I am a good customer, I fully realize they deal with people who can way, way outdo me and yet, I truly felt that I was just as important to Bailey??s at that time as any other customer.
There is something special about their store. I have stepped into other jewelry stores before my first purchase with Bailey??s and since. They are missing that almost indescribable something. Bailey??s is both elegant and warm and inviting.
I just wanted to write a note to say it is clear that Bailey??s is special and they run a Christ Centered organization. I wish Bailey??s many, many, many more years of success and I plan to go by and treat myself for my successes? (smile)! They are so good to their customers, no matter who they are, what they do, or what they spend. They truly set a Christ Centered example for all businesses.

I recently purchased a beautiful diamond engagement ring from Bailey's Fine Jewelry in Cameron Village and I wanted to do something I have never done, write a review.
I worked long and hard on this process, spending hours online and visiting over a dozen stores locally. I finally walked into Bailey's and met with Nancy and she was wonderful, (please ask for her by name, she was the best to work with). I explained what I was looking for, my budget and my timeline. She listened and got me exactly what I wanted. I am glad I did my homework, but I wish I would have found Bailey's first. Guys trust me, GO SEE NANCY, and shop from Bailey's. Thank you Nancy, Josh and the Bailey's team. I will truly be a customer forever.
PS she said yes....

You get what you pay for!!!

I shopped around for days, long days, everywhere throughout the triangle area looking for the perfect engagment ring for my fiance, and found it at Bailey's. If I could go back in time I would have saved the time, gas money, and headache of dealing with pushy salepeople at other jewelry stores and just went strait to Bailey's. Nancy and Josh went to any extreme to make my shoppiing and buying experience a great one. They made what was supposed to be a 6-8 week customization job happen in less than 2 weeks which helped tremindously with surprise factor of popping the question on an annual family vacation to the mountains. My fiance absolutely loves her ring and couldn't be any happier with the unique design and custom work Bailey's put into it.I would highly recommend Bailey's over any of the other jewelry stores in the triangle area, and beleive me I went EVERYWHERE!! At Bailey's you really do get what you pay for!!!!

After having a terrible experience at Diamonds Direct, I went to Bailey's Crabtree and couldn't believe the difference in the two stores! The sales people at Bailey's were so pleasant and extremely helpful. I found the perfect ring at a better price with a higher quality. After the high pressured sales approach at the first store, Bailey's was a breath of well needed fresh air! Great experience shopping in this beautiful store.

My wife took a watch of mine in to be repaired (as a surprise). It was a BIG surprise. They charged her a ridiculously high rate for a very basic repair (more than I paid for the watch years ago) and I've just tried to set it and see the minute indicators are all shifted two to the left.

Zero attention to detail and ridiculous pricing.

Sure they're attentive when you're in the store (they want you to buy something expensive). But with this kind of service, I won't be going back.

Having heard that Bailey's was the place to go in the triangle for engagement rings, my very smart then-boyfriend took me on a ring-scouting mission to Bailey's in Cameron Village. We were treated wonderfully...had a coke, tried on rings, went through lots of different styles until we'd narrowed it down, and then I got kicked out of the budget conversation and saw more of the showroom (beautiful things everywhere!) We left feeling very impressed and confident, and I knew that my boy had enough info to make a good choice when the time came.

So the time came, and after a lovely proposal my now-fiance handed me a beautiful diamond ring - cushion diamond in a solitaire setting. It wasn't exactly right, he said, but the folks at Bailey's had given him a "loaner" setting while they custom-made the head and prongs for "my" ring to hold the diamond I was now oooohing and aaaahing at. He explained that he'd ordered the ring later than planned and due to it being "custom" they hadn't quite had enough time, but they'd been SO NICE to put the diamond in a temporary setting, and would place it in its permanent home once we got back to town.

I went to drop the ring off on Monday after we returned to town, and that's where things started to go badly. "Our" consultant was off that day, and a manager told me he'd find me someone to help, then wandered off and left me standing there. Finally (at least ten minutes later), another salesgirl came up and asked if I needed help. I explained that I had my diamond in a loaner ring and was here to drop it off to be set in the real setting. She looked at me as if I was nuts. I explained it again, she rolled her eyes, and stalked over to the computer. When she looked up my fiances name she then went and found a baggie with a ring in it and said "Ok, sign here that you're releasing the diamond, it'll be ready Saturday," Well they'd told my fiance "one to two days" so that was a long time. I asked again and she checked with the jeweler and said "No, Saturday. Anything else?" Well, no. I left.

Told my fiance, he called the store, and then they told him a few WEEKS! Nope, not acceptable. After finally getting in touch with our consultant she said she was sorry, but it would indeed not be ready until Saturday. Fine. He talked them into Friday and that was the best they could do.

(The ring, by the way, is stunning. Excellent craftsmanship, the diamond is top-notch, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the quality of product coming from this store. Just the customer service.)

Now it's time to get the ring appraised. He has called and called and gotten many different people, all of whom said he had to speak to "Jill", the appraisals girl. Nobody else could tell him the costs (he got quoted three different numbers) or the time it took. Well he called Jill on the opening of the day she was in the store, and she told him her day was full, despite him having been promised that if he called first thing he could get the ring in. Then she told him just to drop by on Saturday, but he wanted an appointment time so he didn't get lost in the shuffle. Rather reluctantly, she agreed to meet him at a certain time but implied that this was a difficult thing to do.

We'll see how that goes, but we have already decided not to get our bands from the Cameron Village location. Frankly we're just sick of the people and the fact that nobody really seems to care whether you get good customer service after they've already made a sale. We're hoping to try the Crabtree location (like I said, I LOVE the ring, just not the service, so we'd like to stick with Bailey's if we can) since I've heard good things so far about their attitude.

My recent experience @ Bailey's was relaxing and enjoyable. I was greeted by a very friendly and courteous Mr. Shepherd, who spent a good deal of time w/ me going over their 18 karat white gold diamond selections.

His enthusiasm and knowledge about their unique and high quality pieces was very refreshing, which is hard to find these days.

In the end we were able to find that perfect addition to enrich my collection. Believe me, I'm not the easiest customer to please-so job well done!

Thank you Mr. Shepherd and Bailey's for starting the Holiday Season on a good note.

I visited the new Crabtree location the other day while I was in the mall. I was just browsing, looking for a wedding band for my fiancee. I found lots of beautiful options, but was looking for something extra special for my special someone. The customer service was great, not rushed or pressured. The sales staff suggested that perhaps I work with Patrick who makes custom, one-of-a-kind jewelry. And after meeting the sales staff and seeing their options, I will definitely be back to create a custom wedding band for my future wife.

The store clerks were very friendly when I came in to the new Bailey's at Crabtree Valley Mall. They asked If I needed any help and when I said just looking they offered me a fresh baked cookie and soda or water to enjoy while I browsed!! I have never received that at a jewelery store before when shopping for presents. They were very helpful when I asked what a particular stone was and made me feel quite comfortable. Though I was just trying to decide what type of gemstone earrings to buy for my mother for Christmas this year and didn't actually purchase anything, they were more than willing to just answer my questions.

We finally have a great jewelry store back in the Crabtree Valley Mall!!! :)

Once upon a time I was a loyal Carlyle and Co. shopper. In particular I would make a trip to the Crabtree location and work with Susan House. Well imagine my surprise when Bailey's took over the location and I found out Susan is working there now! She is fabulous and I have already begun to expand out of Yurman to Ippolita and who knows what's next! Everyone that works there is so nice and I love the cookies (such a nice touch)!

Thanks for making my jewelry shopping experience so comfortable and thanks for having a wonderful selection! I could go on and on, but now I think I'll just have to go pay them another visit :)

Bailey's is great! First of all, they are very friendly and treat you like you are guest in their home. They offered us a drink and a cookie. (that are freshly baked i might add!) Some people have told me that Bailey's is the place to shop but they can be a little pricey. I am a BIG jewelry lover and I am very savvy when it comes to price and quality. I know dealers in New York and I have shopped at the Diamondsdirect store. Nothing compares to the experience I got at Bailey's. They never pressure me, (which I appreciate because so many other stores are high pressure.) and they have high quality jewelry at VERY competitive prices. Another thing that impressed me is that they have jewelers that actually make jewelry in their store. I am also a big designer jewelry fan and they have by far the best selection. David Yurman, Ippolita, Gucci, John Hardy, Marci Bicego, and some other brands that i had never heard of. They are always bringing in new styles and designers that keep me and my friends coming back. Overall, I highly recommend Bailey's. Great service, great selection, and they are a local, family owned business. I work hard for my money and they seem to truly care about their customers and appreciate my business. I am definitely a fan of Bailey's!

I could not be happier with my experience at Bailey??s Jewelry. Kelly B. and Josh B. were an absolute pleasure to work with. I have spent months shopping for a diamond and countless hours doing research (online and with several brokers) for the most perfectly cut diamond. The crown and pavilion angles, along with table/depth percentages and star length significantly determine the sparkle and ??fire? of a diamond and its performance.

All of the diamonds I looked at were GIA graded ??triple ex?, however the one at Diamond??s Direct (that I nearly purchased) I later found out was what is referred to as ??steep and deep? and was on the fringe of being ??triple ex? certified. It was still a fantastic diamond, just not the absolute best which is what you expect in a ??triple ex?.

The diamond Bailey??s found was the very best of GIA ??triple ex? and fell within AGS??s ??triple zero? category. The price was also just as competitive as Diamond??s Direct, Blue Nile, White Flash and significantly better than CMI Jewelry (who so kindly faxed a price sheet with their ??standard markup? fee to an open fax machine at my office without my knowledge).

The diamond Bailey??s found for me was proportionately?perfect! The absolute best cut. Trust me, there??s a huge difference. Everyone my fiance has run into has complimented on how it??s the most sparkly ring they??ve ever seen, even complete strangers. Check out pricescope.dotcom and Holloway Cut Advisor for the ??techy? details about the cut.

What I also noticed was they had a large staff and all of their work was done onsite, with a small family environment. Nothing against small stores, but I liked knowing they had enough staff there to take care of anything my fiance needs if something happens. Growing up in Raleigh I??ve always been familiar with the Bailey??s brand name and their outstanding quality. I just couldn??t be happier with the outstanding price, exceptional quality and family atmosphere I experienced at Bailey??s. Oh yeah, and my fiance likes to brag about her Bailey??s box! :)

Stay as far away as possible!

This was the worst customer service I have experienced in the last 20 years. The staff was rude and unresponsive during a two month debacle of a repair process, and we could not be more unhappy. We were promised quick, responsive service in repairing our engagement ring. Instead, we had to make 5-6 calls per week to see where the repair process stood, and when we finally did speak to our "customer service rep" (I use this term loosely), she was rude and acted like we were inconveniencing her. After 2 months of chasing them down, the fine folks at Bailey's decided they would not be able to fix our ring in-house and that they would have to "send it to China" for repairs. That was the last straw, as we promptly picked up the ring before the incompetent staff at Bailey's could cause any more problems.

I would only recommend this place if you enjoy root canals or Chinese water torture.

Bailey's is a fantastic place. In the past I've visited other jewelry stores where I felt intimidated, or was made to feel not valued because I was not spending a lot of money. Bailey's treats everyone the same--wonderfully. They often repair watches and jewelry on the spot, and sometimes free of charge. You will be offered a coke and cookies while you wait, and they have beautiful things to look at. I'm not a particularly wealthy person, and I'm sure I don't dress like one, yet every time I have been in this store, they treat me like their most important customer. It's a wonderful store.

I received a beautiful David Yurman necklace for Christmas from my boyfriend. This was his first jewelry purchase for me & he was so nervous! Kelly (Burgess) at Bailey's helped him along the journey & by the end, he knew he'd found the perfect gift.
When we both went to Bailey's for a "window shopping" visit, Kelly remembered him & the necklace!
The store is classy & enjoyable to browse through, the staff is always smiling & happy to assist you with any level of purchase. We've been very pleased w/ Bailey's & would definitely recommend them! We will absolutely return.

Overall, not a bad place. You can do better, though. I went there because the other reviews seemed pretty positive, but I get the feeling that none of the other reviewers were firm on getting the best deal in their own budget. I found their "rock bottom" price to still be more expensive than their competitors.

For a specific comparison, here's a situation with one of their main competitors in Raleigh, CMI. For a very comparable stone and exact same ring, CMI's first offer was cheaper than anything Bailey's could do. CMI even provided the same "perks" associated with the sale that Bailey's only offered after I mentioned them (free resizing, rhodium coating, etc.).

Don't get me wrong, they're friendly, knowledegable people. However once you try to negotiate with them within reason in the context of their competitors, then it all changes and it becomes like a car dealership where they "ask the manager" and bring in what I could only assume was a "closer". We'll leave that to the dealerships on Capital Blvd. Yes they bring friendly service, reliability, etc. to the table, but so do many of their competitors. When we have plenty of family owned jewelers in our city who also bring these to the table, it really comes down to price. Bailey's just couldn't beat the rest of the crowd.

Overall, I'd actually recommend checking out Sparrowood Jewelers on Duraleigh and Edwards Mill. Jo Sparrow is the most level-headed and honest of all the jewelers I met in my multi-week search for the right ring. I felt like she could have charged me tuition for the education I received from her regarding diamonds. On top of all of that, she ended up matching all of her competitors on price including perks as well. Afterall, if you're still reading this review, price is probably on your mind.

Bailey's customer service and selection is unbeatable in this area. All customers are treated as if they are special whether spending $100 or $10,000. Repair services are also outstanding.

We bought our wedding bands at Bailey's 16 years ago. I have all my jewelry repairs done there. Since the kids came along, we havent had much of a budget for jewelry, though I know Baileys carries a range of prices. When I recently found out how high gold was selling for, and that Baileys pays cash for gold, I dug through my jewelry box for broken, old gold pieces, even earrings, etc, that I had found in parking lots over the years! I got over $200 for this scrap gold! I trust them for all of my jewelry needs...Darling, are you listening? ;)

Bailey's helped me pick out just the right ring for my Mother. They took the time to show me many beautiful rings in my price range. The store is a fun place to shop. Prices range from mid range to high range.

Bailey's went above and beyond to help me find the perfect watch for my husband as a wedding gift. They also assisted me in finding other gifts for people helping with the wedding, and helped me get them in time to take advantage of their sale. They had items brought in from other stores for me, took care of my engraving, and were always extremely helpful. They always have a Coke for you to drink while shopping or waiting to pick up an item, which is a nice touch. I would definitely shop here again.

My fiance purchased my engagement ring at Bailey's and I absolutely love it! It was custom made by a design that he created and showed to their gemologist. I have been in for fittings and routine cleanings and they are always very nice and eager to help you. We are looking forward to picking out our wedding bands from Bailey's.
