Kate has been doing my hair for one year and I am just thrilled with her work. I am in the entertainment industry and always have to look my best. Kate makes it really easy for me. She always gives me spectacular color, style and hair care. She has even done my makeup for several special events. She is very talented and easy to work with. I moved to Raleigh a couple of years ago and tried a few of the "best" Raleigh salons and then I met a friend who had great hair and she referred me to Kate. I reserved writing any reviews until I was absolutely sure about Kate, but have no doubts, her work is consistent and exceptional.

I went to Kate after reading some reviews on city search and she did a wonderful job. Kate is a great listener and did exacly what I wanted. She did great with my haircut and I cant express how happy I am with my color. I will definitely be back.

I've been going to Kim for years now since I moved up to Raleigh and I haven't been anywhere else. She is wonderful. She's very good at giving subtle highlights that complement your face and skin tone. She adds alot of little touches that just makes your hair look wonderful. I've gotten all my friends to go there now and they all say that she's great. I would highly recommend her to anyone. WONDERFUL!!!!

Everyone, Heidi is wonderful! I came into her 2 weeks ago with washed out shapeless hair, and I don't even look the same. She put "dimension" back in and gave me a style that really works with my features.
She also spent time showing me how to style it and gave me time saving tips. Plus she is really fun to talk to. I have been getting double takes by coworkers and my husband loves my new look. I've finally found my hair stylist. I highly recommend Heidi!

After reading all of the reviews about this salon I decided to call and make an appointment, my appointment was with Kate. I had not had my hair done in about six months, I needed something to freshen me up. Kate really listened to my concerns she gave me subtle highlights and applied what she called a glaze on the rest of my hair which made it incredibly shiny and the cut is fabulous as well. This was the change I needed without being to shocking everyone loves my hair I am thrilled!

Moved to the area a year ago and since my previous stylist was so great I took my time finding a new one. I thought I had found a good one with Jeff at Geoffrey James salon. I was wrong. My first cut and highlights were good, not fantastic, but since Jeff seemed like a nice person and seemed to listen I thought after a few visitis he would understand what my hair will and will not do. At my last visit he left long uneven peices that I had to trim and my last highlights were skinny strips. I know everyone is trying to save money but he is doing this by using less product and charging the same price. it is a total waste of my time and money to get these results. He took such little time cutiing my hair on my last visit that I wondered if he had cut anything at all (of course he had but a few qucik snips and your're done). At each visit I mention any issue I had with the last cut./color but he does the same thing. After my first visit I recommended him to friends but after my last visit I mentioned to them that I had given up on Jeff and would be looking for a new stylist. Each said they thought the same thing, one had gone a few times the others just once. One had skimmpy highlights and the others had uneven issues and not the right cut. One said after just two weeks the cut was grwoing out badly and she was having a tough time styling it. We all walked in with different hair types and styles but we all walked out with the same basic cut. Maybe he has one style that he does, short or long this is what he does. Also the prices on their wesite are less that what they actually charge.

I made an appointment with Heidi Hoff for a haircut. She encouraged me to color my hair during my consultation and was very straight as to why. I really didn't think I needed it. I had never colored my hair before and had just grown use to the gray. I took a chance and I LOVE IT! I still have my natural color minus the grey and added shine. I felt fresh and a bit younger right away. But the compliments from my friends and most importantly my husband really gave me an ego boost. Oh and my haircut is great! Thank you Heidi!

I found Kate through a friend of mine, my friend told me she is wonderful and she wasn't kidding. I have very fine, limp hair that is naturally dishwater blond. Kate gave me a great cut that makes my hair look fuller and healthier and is also very easy to style . My color is beautiful, she gave me two different shades of blond. I have never had so many compliments on my hair before. Thanks so much Kate I look forward to my next appointment.

Most women don't like to take chances with their hair, especially me. So I am so thankful to now have Heidi as my hairstylist. Heidi did a great job on my hair. My cut is fun, me and easy to style. My color is incredible. For once my husband noticed my hair and actually loved it! I have really had so many compliments, I do highly recommend Heidi.

Kate provides a trendy, polished look every time I visit her. Her cuts are flawless and her colors are rich and beautiful. I used to complain about my hair but now I'm consistently happy with it. My husband says my hair looks the best it has in 10 years. The atmosphere at the Geoffrey James Salon is relaxing and indulgent. Each visit leaves me de-stressed and looking younger. I look forward to my appointments with Kate - I bet you will too!

Pros: Parking is great. It's an easy stop off Durant Road with parking at the door. The wine is a wonderful touch.

I found Kate through City Search. I had a lot of layers in my shoulder length hair (not intentional). I wanted to get my hair colored and trimmed but was skeptical. During my 1st appointment, Kate took a lot of time with me and discussed my color and the style. She did an amazing job!! With highlights, my hair is a beautiful copper brown (with intermingling color) and very shiny. She did exactly what I wanted and I have received many compliments. Kate also specializes in weddings and makeup. She is exceptionally talented and I am lucky to have found her. I would highly recommend Kate. I look forward to every appointment.

I went to Heidi the other day ( I found her here on City Search ) and she had her work cut out for her.
I had about 6 months of outgrowth and really wanted some natural looking dimension. I was really tired of my dull, grown out hair. I just didn't have the motivation to have my hair done again. My past experiences haven't been that great. I either ended up with strips that were too light or nothing really special for a small fortune.
This time was different! I don't know how she did it, but she weaved in two different colors and my hair is absolutely beautiful! I'm so happy! It all flows perfectly, it's so shiny and dimensional. The colors are more than I could have hoped for. I could go on and on, bottom line Heidi is the best hair stylist I've ever been to and to say I highly recommend her is an understatement!

I went to see Kate to get my hair colored. I showed her a few pictures of what I like and also described to her what type of color I want and what look I was trying to achieve. She did an incredible job!! My color looks amazing. She gave me exactly what I wanted and then some. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair and I really love it. She is very talented and thorough. She knows exactly what will and will not look good. She has an amazing eye for color and I am very pleased. I have a friend that also goes to her and my friend's color and cut always looks fabulous as well. I would recommend Kate to anyone she is the best stylist/colorist I have ever been too!!! I can't wait to go back.

Heidi did my hair; color, highlights, cut. AMAZING! I love my hair and I love Heidi, she's a blast. Plus I felt like I was somewhere else! Heidi, the other stylists, the salon were all so fun, classy and refreshing.

Kate did my makeup a few months back for my wedding along with all of my bridesmaids.Everyone loved it we all felt very glamorous, it lasted all day and through the evening. I decided recently to make an appointment with her for a cut and color. Well let me say my color is beautiful and my cut is amazing. Kate really takes her time with you and you can tell she loves what she does.If you are getting married and want flawless makeup or just want a great color and cut, you should give Kate a try!

The Geoffrey James Salon is the best hair salon I have ever gone to in Raleigh and NC and SC!!! My hair stylist is Heidi and she is wonderful! Heidi is very friendly and considerate to all your hair needs. Every cut and color I have ever received from Heidi has been even better than the last! You have finally found what you are looking for. Kate can work miracles with your hair. She got rid of a color that wasn't right for me--gave me a beautiful color with subtle highlights--and improved the texture of my hair into the bargain. With the cut she gave me--I can go for a month easy and my hair still looks great. I love it, love it, love it. Kate gave me the best color and cut I've had in forever. The salon is great, the experience is relaxing and pampering, and Kate is the best.

Tucked away in North Raleigh is The Geoffrey James Salon. The atmosphere is wonderful, private and highly professional.
My stylist is Heidi and she is absolutely, fabulous!! She is brilliant! My color and highlights are beautiful and have so much dimension. My cut is so contemporary, with wonderful shape and movement. And I can actually style it at home quite close to how Heidi styled it in the salon.
Heidi took the time as she was styling to stop and give me tips on how to do it at home.
I just recently moved to Raleigh from Chicago and was very nervous about finding a new stylist. I came on City Search and found the great reviews Heidi had and they're right on the nose!
I highly recommend Heidi!

I recently moved from NY and found Heidi though other glowing reviews and i am gald i did. First off she is a blast to be around. The experience is fun as we sit there and chat about everything. I also love the salon. Its a smaller salon so you get personal service. When you walk in she offers you wine or water. I love that its just one person that does everything to my hair. She shampoos, colors, cuts and styles. Not like other salons where you have to go to a million people. I also find myself relaxing while i am there. When my color is setting i am reading a magazine and destressing from my long day. The hours are great and i never have a problem getting an appointment at the times i need them. I also love how Heidi takes the time to listen to what you want. She sits with you when you are discussing color and offers you many options. I love that i can tell her how much i want cut and she will do exactly that. I have been at other salons where you walk out with 6 less inches then when you started. So definitly go and see Heidi you will have a wonderful experience and great hair. Be parpaded though the complements will start coming as soon as you walk out

Kate is an awesome hairstylist! I am extremely particular about my hair and color and she took the time to listen to what I wanted and she even made great suggestions. I was totally impressed by the color and cut she gave me. I more than highly recommend her!! :)

Let me just start out by saying that it was Fate that brought Heidi into my life as my hairstylist! Having just had moved to Raleigh 8 months ago I was EXTREMELY nervous about having my hair done in an area where I knew no one and had no referrals for good stylists. As luck would have it I ended up with the fate of my hair laying in Heidi's hands. Thank Goodness because this woman ROCKS! My highlights are perfect and my cut is recovering nicely from a pre-Heidi disaster. Send your friends! Send yourself! :)

Heidi is wonderful!
I went to Heidi for the first time recently to get my hair cut. We also discussed my hair color which I had been doing at home. I've never been thrilled with my "box" color, but I thought it did the job. Well I went from three shades of red and brown to a beautiful auburn. My hair has never looked so healthy and shiny. My skin color looks so much more healthy. My cut is also wonderful and I have a real pulled together look now. I have had so many compliments. I highly recommend Heidi.

I just need to share what a wonderful experience it's been having Heidi do my hair. I had really let my hair go. I had been less than thrilled with past experiences. A friend referred me to Heidi and encouraged me to give her a try. Well I love my color and hair cut! I have had so many compliments from family and friends that now I can't picture going without my "look." I now visit Heidi regularly to stay "polished", she knows what she's doing and has a lot of fun doing it .

A friend of mine recommended me to Kate,I had not had my hair cut and colored in a pretty long time,I wanted something that would not be too high maintenance.Kate gave me a beautiful rich chocolaty color with natural looking highlights and kept my hair long just like I asked for.The salon is very cozy and relaxing I will definitely be back to see Kate.

Heidi saved my hair. I have brown hair which was overprocessed with bleach and was breaking badly and Heidi is nursing my hair back to health and still able to keep a nice shade of blonde.. she will take the time to discuss and recommmend her thoughts on what is best for your hair.. and I am very happy with her haircuts.. with very reasonable prices!.. Heidi Hoff gave me beautiful highlights and an amazing cut! She went over styling it with me and it's actually something I can do! I am so happy with my new look. I came in with some ideas of what I thought would look good and we tweaked them with consideration to my face shape, the texture and color of my hair and time I could spend each day styling it. I loved my hairstylist Kate. She took the time to ask me tons of questions about what I wanted my hair to look like and how I normally styled it and then she gave me the perfect hair color and cut. She helped me to pick a color that looked good on me and gave me a great haircut that helps me to manage my thick hair. I love the color of my hair and I get compliments all the time. The salon had a great atmosphere and I would highly recomend Kate as the hairstylist to visit to get a great color and cut! I took a friend with me to see Kate and we were so impressed and loved our color/cut so much we will not be going anywhere else!

Heidi Hoff is an excellent hairdresser! I just got a great haircut from Heidi yesterday
She recently moved to the Geoffrey James Salon from another salon. The Geoffrey James Salon is a really modern, fun salon. I highly recommend Heidi because she really cares about your hair and wants you to be very happy with your new do. Also, Heidi takes the time to give you shortcuts and tips about how to style your hair at home so it looks great everyday. I have never had a hairdresser who takes so much time out to really make sure you can replicate what they have done in the salon. Plus, Heidi is just a fun person and great to talk to.

I have been going to Kate for the past year and she recently moved to the Geoffrey James salon on Durant Road. Kate always listens to what I want and gives me great advice and is by no means pushy. I have difficult hair and she always makes it look fabulous. I always have tons of compliments after she cuts and colors my hair. Kate stays ahead of the trends and new techniquies with styling hair. She has also done my makeup on a few occasions for special events and it always looks amazing. She is very talented with both makeup and hair. Kate always makes me look and feel great!!! Definitaly go see Kate at the Geoffrey James salon :)

Kate has been doing my hair for two years and I love her style. I highly recommend her. She is great with color and can do both classic and trendy hair. I have long hair and stylists in the past always cut more than I ask for. I get a lot of compliments on my blonde color because it is shiny and bright and not drab or dull. Kate offers good suggestions, but doesn't pressure. She is very professional and attentive. She recently moved to The Geoffrey James Salon and I really like it there. It has an intimate and relaxing atmosphere.

For the last 6 years, I have had the pleasure of having my hair done by Jimmy Lumia one of the owners of The Geoffrey James salon. Jimmy is a true artist and I would dare say the Michaelangelo of hair. Jimmy understands his client's needs and helps his clients understand what hair cuts and colors work the best with their hair texture, face shape, skin tone etc. I would say that on average I probably refer Jimmy about 5 times per month to random people that stop me in public to find out where I get my hair done. The Geoffrey James Salon is the total experience you will not be disappointed!
