a great night out

by Heather A. | insider Insider | Rank: 20,060

My husband and I went to Graham Cinema a few weeks ago and it was a wonderful date night. Tickets are only $3 and you get free refills on popcorn and drinks. The theater is a great piece of history with large, comfy reclining seats and a nice balcony. The temperature was just right....I dind't freeze like I usually do at movies. Definitley check out Graham Cinema. Give the theater a call at (336) 226-1488 and listen to Tim Bob's movie review and jokes - you'll get a laugh every time.

Graham Cinema: worth a trip

by Jessica S. | insider Insider | Rank: 16,451

This cinema is a little piece of history. Cheat seats ($3) for second run movies. They usually play one show in the evenings on weeknights, and several showings on the weekends. There is plenty of seating, on the main floor or balcony, and popcorn and pop has free refills, and is really reasonably priced anyway. Picture quality/sound is good. They do birthday party packages, and offer advertising for local area businesses for really inexpensive pricing (around $30/month). When you call to hear show times, "Tim Bob" always does a joke in a very country accent, and he is always good for a laugh; He is the FORMER owner. A middle aged couple now owns this theater along with many other businesses in the area.

Restrooms are very small and cramped, could use some more efficient cleaning, and parking is rather difficult, especially if you arrive before the previous show has let out. The guy who does the tickets is unfriendly and rarely smiles (it has been the same guy all 4 years that we have been coming here), but you don't have to see him except for the two minutes it takes to pay, so who cares. On few occasions there have been rowdy teenagers, but this is, of course, very show specific, and they tend to hang out in the balcony level. If they are causing you any problems, just tell the employee (grim guy at the ticket window is usually the only guy working) and he will remove them.

This place is worth a trip. Certainly beats paying 9$/seat and driving to the mall.

A worthy Cause!

by Sarah W.

This is a great place to take the family. It has the old pull up curtain and cozy seats! There is a great Realtor Elizabeth Ward Small that sponsors a FREE family movie the 2nd Saturday of each month and you can attend the family film for free. She has a charity event that is sponsored and you can opt to help if you like. I registered for her email me the movie each month by signing in her website www.wardsmall.com.

Graham Cinema

by Monique J. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,179

For a night out at the movies I would recommend Graham Cinema. It is an old theater in the historical district that has been renovated. Usually they carry only one movie for a week, but sometimes they will carry two. They have plenty of seating with a balcony to boot! The best part is it only cost $2 for a ticket. However, the movies are not the newest movies that are playing at the large cinemas, but they are usually fairly new movies that have not been released on DVD yet.

great local cheap seats

by andrew s. | insider Insider | Rank: 22,917

this place is grahams only cinema but it is what we like to call a cheap seats. one screen one price $2. and all drinks and popcorn get free refills. great local stop and big screen for all your movie viewing pleasure. this one is a classic, this guy usually shows a cartoon likie in the old days in front of the movie. it may be small and it may only have one screen, but it is fun for the whole family.

PROS: free refills
CONS: only one screen

Old time theater

by Ronald J. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,848

Located in historical downtown Graham, Graham Cinema will take you back in time. This cinema has been around for decades and was remodeled and opened for business again several years ago. It is just like the theaters of yesteryear. With the flashing lights around the big sign outside showing what is playing, you might get a bit nostalgic. Then, upon entering, you pay $2.00 for your movie ticket, and get your popcorn, candy, drinks, etc. Once you are ready to take your seat, you can choose to stay on the ground floor close to the gigantic screen, or you can go into the balcony seats and view your picture from up high. This is a cheap, fun, and nostalgic way to entertain yourself and the entire family any night of the week!

Movie Theater

by Tom R. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,915

This theater features movies that have already been shown. They are several months behind in getting them. However, the prices are great! So, if you can wait awhile to see a movie, youll definitely save money by going here. The staff is friendly and the snacks are good and comparably priced.

Low cost movie theater

by Jean R. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,209

If you can wait for a movie to come to the Graham Cinema, or want to see one you've already seen, you'll save a ton of money by viewing it at the Graham Cinema. There is one screen, but there is additional seating in the balcony. The snacks aren't as expensive as other theaters either. Also, you can call them to check movies and times and be entertained with a joke as well.
