I do not recommend this practice even though Dr. Rogers is nice. One day I hope he starts his own practice. Rogers would be worth going to if he weren't affiliated with the staff and practice as a whole--his partner treated me as if I were a number. Next!
They have way too many patients. Wait time is unreal.

The truth is Brannon and Rogers support VBAC- I had one. They simply make the point that the risk for uterine rupture is there with a previous cesarean, regardless of the reason for the previous cesarean, simply because there is a scar on the uterus. They will not use pitocin in a previous cesarean because of a marked increase in rupture rates. Whether your pregnancy was uncomplicated or not has nothing to do with it. They will not induce your labor for the same reason and if you go into the 41st week they will recommend repeat cesarean if you do not go into spontaneous labor. The data is voluminous on the prudence of this approach and is consistent with ACOG guidelines. As a woman and an Obstetrician I am qualified to judge them. And for the record , their cesarean rates are no higher than any other group in Raleigh or Cary. Check your fact source, you are uninformed.

I left this practice after the birth of my first child. I was informed upon delivery that the doctors here have the highest c-section rates at Wake Med Hospital and do not support the decision to have a VBAC, regardless of a complication-free pregnancy. One doctor even referred to labor as "a bunch of nonsense" when asking why I did not elect a c-section for convenience reasons. This was appalling to me from a medical, ethical standpoint. Please seek another practice if you want a collaborative relationship, with some ownership in the decision of your own delivery.

Dr Rogers is a wonderful OB-Gyn, he makes you feel comfortable takes the time to listen to your concerns and does not make you feel rushed like some other practices. The office staff is friendly and you get timely knowledgeable replies to any questions you may have. I would definitely recommend this practice.
