I have cared for patients with Growing Child Pediatrics since 2007 as a pediatrician and have worked in each of the 7 offices. It has been a joy to be surrounded each day by staff, nurses, and providers who show kindness and compassion to patients and each other. As we continue to grow we hope to have more to bring to our patients. Join us on our journey you might meet some wonderful folks.

My son was failing at school and the teachers were calling me everyday because he was getting into trouble. I needed someone to step in and give us direction. I found an add for Growing Child Pediatrics and made an appointment in the new Sanford office. What a great practice. The staff was very friendly, and the doctor Edith Bernosky was wonderful! She was the friendliest doctor I ever met. We talked for a long time and she listened. My son started a medication and he is like a different child, even the teachers have noticed. Dr. Bernosky even called me to see how he was doing. I am so glad to have this practice in Sanford!!!!!!

We go to the Brier Creek office. We see "Dr. Sarah" Atkins at brier creek office--she is awesome! She takes time with us, pays attention to the children-asks them questions, and always listens to my concerns. We also see Dr. Joanne and Mandy. They are both awesome too. The office staff is great, too. We are so happy there and tell all of our friends to go there too.

What a great practice! I take my sons to the N Raleigh location and have always been pleased with our care. The nurses are fabulous...Love Leanna and Tameka! We we love and trust Katherine and Dr. Mike. I have also spoken to Melissa several times on triage and she is very helpful. She shows compassion and concern and its obvious she has been nursing for a while! Growing Child is a must if you are looking for a pediatrician!!

Wow, the six forks office has new management! My ex wife and I were talking about looking into another pediatrics office. When my youngest son got the flu a few weeks back she brought him in for care. The office was completely different. The kids were excited to see toys in the waiting room. The wait was half the time as she remembered in the past. When my ex wife explained the issues she had had in the past with the new manager and saw Dr. Atkins. She was very happy and was confident that Growing Child Pediatrics had our children as there first priority. We both feel that our kids would get wonderful care there.

Basically competent people (I have some idea, I'm an MD). Problem is that they have their own lab, so basically everyone who walks in needs pretty much every lab available. For well child visits, I always take the American Academy of Pediatric lab recommendations (which is very, very limited labs), otherwise they will get tons of labs (which your insurance company won't pay for).

I have lived in Louisiana, Texas, Florida, Maryland (DC metro) area. I am very impressed with this team. I usually go to the Wake Forest Office but was squeezed in to Raliegh office this week. The doctor was personable, thorough, patient and funny to get my 2 year old to cooperate. I felt taken care of and that I could call back with any problems. The Wake Forest Office has always done a great job of taking care of my children. I have never had the issue of "we're full" you have to wait a day or two. They have always been "Of course you don't want to wait if you think your baby has an ear infection. I'm sorry that another patient didn't receive good service. Sometimes we all have bad days.

PROS: Thorough, caring, friendly, assessible, approachable, professional
CONS: none

Great staff! We have been to most of the doctors here and never had a problem with any of them. They are all so friendly, knowledgable and very good with my children. They even sit down and have conversations with them about princesses. :) I have never been rushed in and out and alway feel like all my questions have been answered and listened to. The nurses are very sweet as well! There is not a lot of parking, but usually enough people are coming and going to keep a space or two free

My children need their medical records and they now outsource them. I do NOT have $135 for the records. It is extortion. Shame on them. SHAME! Do not go here either. The nurse practitioner let my kids go into double pneumonia. They were so sick whem we transferred to anotehr. And now we are in another state and cannot get records. After all the money we spent there. Shame!

My child has been a patient of growing child since birth. She is not yet two. Because we have moved, I requested to have her medical records transferred to a new pediatrician. Without any warning, I recieve an invoice for $45. When I called to try to figure out what was going on, I was given short answers and no assistance. Evidently, they have outsourced their records to a company charging a fee per page. In less than two years, my daughter accumulated enough pages to warrant a $45 bill. Be warned....if your kid is older, you may end up paying much more!\n\nMy new pediatrician's office aggreed that this fee was ridiculous, but stated that some doctors stretch the HIPPA regulations to fit them without thinking of the patients.

We have been patients at this N Raleigh location for over 10 years and it's been very disappointing to see this office really go downhill. The wait time is typically 45min to an hour ( sometimes more! ). The nurses and Dr's are nice, but we have had misdiagnosis issues causing multiple visits, tests & prescriptions before the problem is finally discovered. The receptionists are not friendly and less-than helpful. The computer systems are slow so they put everyone on terminal hold when you call there. The exam rooms are old, scuffed up and dirty - certainly not state of the art. There are many choices in this area - sadly, we have decided to leave this practice.

I love this practice. We started going to this practice 2 years ago when we moved to Raleigh. We go to the Brier Creek location and love it! I have 2 little girls I feel that they take great care of my family and know we are in good hands there. I highly recommend this practice.
