We had dinner on a Saturday evening. No reservations needed.
Pros: Food excellent. Service very good. Friendly staff. Lighting level for evening dinner was superb. So many
restaurants are lit up like a high school cafeteria. Here, the lighting was very appropriate for the time of evening. Price vs. quality, excellent.
Cons: Beer and wine only. Restaurant website has no link for reservations. Emailed reservation request bounced back -- 'mailbox full'. (Mailbox still full six days later. If you care about your customers, why not answer their mail?)

I love Indian food and Nawab is my absolute favorite in Winston Salem, NC.
Their buffet is great and very tasty and the Chia tea is...HUMMMM. Creamy and hot and just the right amount of sweetness.
Their spinach dish is great, I always order that.
Try Nawab the next time you want a great Indian meal.

Have eaten my favorite cuisine (Indian) on the West Coast and know my way around the menu. The Lamb Saag @ Newab was very good, as were other items on their menu. Prepared properly I prefer an amount of red pepper to "pinch" and sprinkle over my food and they obliged. Aloo Gobhi, right amount of ginger. Veg. Biryani, flavorful. Garlic Nan, tender and flaky. Have been and will continue patronage of this fine establishment.

Pros: THE FOOD/SERVICE

Cons: DECOR, BUT TYPICAL FOR REST. CATAGORY

We eat here every single week. The food is unbelievably good and priced very well. Perfect place for romantic dinners or lunch buffet. You have to experience it!

My husband and I have loved Nawab for years now. It's a staple for us. Nawab has great food, good atmosphere, and nice wait staff! The vegetarian meals are particularly good.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the Triad. I love everything about this place. It is very beautiful and charming, and it's perfect for family outings or dinner for two.

This restaurant offers great service, a fast meal, and a great date atmosphere.. the food is excellent however you will taste it for days and days! I made the mistake of leaving a leftover box in my car while I was in Walmart after eating here and my car smelt like Indian food for a good 3 weeks!

We tried out Nawab for lunch buffet on first ever trip to Winston-Salem. Nawab is definitely an excellent representation of Indian cuisine. The buffet items were a little mild for me but most patrons were non-Indian so I can see the reason. I made it a point to try a little bit of each item and the cooking was quite competent. It was nice to start with some onion and potato bhajia. Both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian items were adequately spiced and not oily. I especially liked the lighted chamber to keep the tandoori chicken at temperature, I wish other Indian restaurants would copy this idea. Chicken Makhni was just right and also the Navratan Korma. The staff was friendly and visited our table several times. Kheer could have used some nutty additions plus some papad would have been great! The only reason I can not give it a five star rating is because I have not tried it for dinner and therefore can not comment on their expertise with biryani's and Indian style seafood. If you are bored with the usual meat and potatoes this place is an excellent addition to "Foodiversity" in Winston-Salem. The buffet is priced to compete even with ordinary greasy fast food. I would have no second thoughts to recommend Nawab in Winston-Salem to anyone.

Cons: Add papadums to the buffet.

What a cheating in food!!! I ordered for Chicken Briyani for pick up but I got a rice mixed with chicken curry.

Next price : This mixed rice is not even worth 3-4 dollars but charging 14 dollars.

What kind of Restaurant it is!!!

Good Indian Restaurants are hard to find, this one is a Gem. Nawab Indian Cuisine serves lunch buffets that are to die for. This small cozy little retaurant is just outside Downtown Winston Salem.
