Mayflower Seafood Restaurant

We have gone to both the Capital Blvd. location as well as the one in Garner only to be hugly disappointed in both.The fried shrimp tastes like eggs, the baked potatoes are overcooked, the vegetables are mush-and the service parallels the food. All awful.Would definitely NOT recommend this place. I don't care that it's inexpensive. There's a reason.

A few years ago, Mayflower Seafood Restaurant was going to build a restaurant near the Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agriculture Center in Williamston. Then pulled out of the deal. Last year, they again put up a sign saying Mayflower Seafood Restaurant coming soon near the new Wal*Mart Super Center in Williamston. However, I hear they have pulled out yet again. Even though the sign still sits next to Dairy Queen on US 17. So is Mayflower Seafood Restaurant coming or not ? Or do they have the practice of putting up signs through out the state for the fun of it.

I recommend this place highly for anyone who is a seafood lover. The price is great! The service is great! I have been going to this place for years, and never had any complaints for them. The food isn't overly seasoned, but they will cook it however you like it. The food comes quick, and is fresh and hot. Never a taste of the food having been sitting too long. The location in Garner is a lot more expensive, and the service isn't as great.

I have been to the Mayflower Resturant on Capital Blvd. Raleigh. I was satisfied whenever I dined there. The atmosphere and waiters were good and attendtive to your need--if wanted. Well, when the Mayflower Resturant opened on 401 Fayetteville Rd. Raleigh, I started going to this location because it was closer. At first when I dined at this location, it was good. But lately twice when dining at 401 Mayflower Resturant location, it wasn't like the service I received was terrible. Twice when dining at Mayflower it was either not the service expected. They are never around when you need service. Another surprise is during a meal one person at my table received the wrong order and condiments that went with meal. Then at one point we were brought to many orders. Another time order wasn't served all at once when needed. Also condiments that went with meal didn't arrive with order. I also believe that when I order certain meals, I believe the preparers are leaving out hushpuppies off plates. I have been applauded with these two different times dining at the resturant. There will not be a third bad event at your resturant. I believe the communication be tween waiters and preparers is definitely lacking. The preparers need retraining to fullfill the job description. I'm not sure when or if I'll dine at the Mayflower for now or even bring others to dine there. There has to be changes very soon or business will decrease. Like I mentioned before, the Mayflower on Capital Blvd. was good all around. I hope your resturant can improve or things could not look good for your business. Please improve on preparers and communication between server/ waiters and preparers very , very soon!! Sincerely. Janet

I would not eat the big pile of greasy fried previously-frozen and still-frozen upon arrival food.
The portion sizes are heaps and the prices are cheap. But how much should mounds of grease really cost?

The Mayflower Seafood Restaurant is a restaurant that serves seafood. The food at this restaurant is really delicious. It is some of the best seafood around. They have fish, shrimp, sides, drinks, and so much more seafood to choose from. The price is affordable and would be a great restaurant to check out when you get a taste for seafood and nothing else wont do.
