Oakcrest Family Restaurant has the best SERVERS!

by Penny K.

This restaurant has the best service, their servers are really good and have alot of regulars since some have worked there for many years. The food is average nothing special. But in a family restaurant it never is. However if you enjoy great company from friendly servers this is a great place to check out.

Don't go if you're hungry!

by Another C.

Ate here recently and literally waited an HOUR to get our food. Had it not been for a family member who has difficulty walking, we would have left much sooner. Service=horrible

Affordable food, but nothing spectacular

by Rebecca L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,937

Oakcrest Family Restaurant is a great place for a cheap meal. Their prices are incredibly reasonable! The food is average quality and taste, as is the service, so its hard to say one way or another. I don't dislike Oakcrest by any means, but it isn't something that comes to mind immediately when we are thinking about eating out. If you have a coupon its definitely worth it!

Not too impressive

by Y G. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,449

We ate here recently. I should have known when we walked in during the dinner hour on a friday night and there were only four other patrons in the whole place. I was hungry for country fried steak, and saw it on the menu. The menu advertised it as a cut of beef breaded and fried. When the food came out, it looked like SOS on my plate. It was tiny pieces of shredded beef over rice with what looked kind of like brown gravy. The waitress proceeded to argue with me that it WAS country fried steak, and what I was thinking of was chicken fried steak. Umm, they are the SAME THING! and that's NOT was on my plate. Anyway, we weren't real impressed with the food or the service and will not be returning.

Great family eatery

by Stacilyn B. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,371

The food is american style and the service is fantastic. It does take a little while to get your food though, so if you bring little ones, be sure to bring something for them to do. Although if the servers see you have a hungry child, they make sure and bring you some crackers and bread to tide them over. So, if you are craving the diner experience, make sure you check this place out!
