4 Stars: A fantastic restaraunt in a quaint, little town. (by Timothy H.)

A friend and I decided to head away from the big city and the shopping on this past Black Friday. After enjoying a day at the beaches in Carolina Beach and Kure Beach we took the Southport ferry across the Cape Fear River and took the suggestion of the ticket agent. Two of us shared a Seafood Platter. The coffee was fresh and absolutely delicious. I haven't had crab cakes as good in a long while. Even the side of grits was extraordinary! The hostess and server were second to none and for the quality of the food and overall experience the check of just under $50 was well worth it. Please disregard the one-star review posted here. I highly recommend Mr. P's and will most assuredly stop in again the next time I am in town.

5 Stars: Mr P's Bistro = a wonderful meal! (by Pam B.)

Mr. P's is one of our favorite restaurants in all of NC! The food is fantastic--every time we dine at Mr. P's, it's consistantly excellent. We eat there at least once/month. The wait staff is very professional and the whole atmosphere is friendly. This is always my birthday restaurant of choice and we live 3+ hours away! We've eaten in the finest restaurants all over the world and Mr. P's is a favorite.

4 Stars: Excellent (by John S.)

Have been coming to the Southport area for years but never tried Mr P's. We went this past weekend and liked it so much, we went back the very next night. The staff was attentive, the food was great and fairly modestly priced compared to other "good" restaurants in Southport, and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual but not overly so. The veal dish over 3-cheese ravioli and topped with shrimp scampi was outstanding. We will definitely be back and Mr. P's is high on the list of the four servicable restaurants located in and around Southport. Thank you Mr. P's

1 Stars: Beware (by Jim F.)

Not the best bet for your money, the food is mediocre at best and the service was not too bad. I expected better based on reviews but must say that I was very disappointed. There are other options in the area with better selection and atmosphere. This seemed to be a very overrated place to dine. Will not be back.

5 Stars: Don't miss Mr. P's Bistro for an exceptional dining experience. (by Kathy P.)

Located in the quaint town of Southport, NC, Mr. P's Bistro is an unpretentious restaurant that serves elegant low country food. It is a small place which lends itself to quiet, adult dining. It tends to be on the more pricey side, but is well worth the cost. The service was excellent and the food arrived promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed the Oysters Rockefeller. It was exceptional. The stuffed shrimp was outstanding with chunks of delicately seasoned crabmeat. Our dining experience was wonderful and we would highly recommend this restaurant.

4 Stars: Mr. P's Bistro (by Debra H.)

A quiet restaurant in the heart of Southport, North Carolina, Mr. P's is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. It's expensive, but worth every penny. The food is incredible, the service is excellent and they have the best oysters Rockefeller I have ever eaten.
