King Mechanical Svc

On 7-22-08 in downtown King a King Mechanical truck pulled out in front of and nearly collided with me. The driver flipped me off in front of my small children. I tried to call the company to complain but the phone was answered by the same man that almost hit me. He said he didn't give a f---- who I had in the car and then told me to come back at 6:00 the next day if I wanted to discuss it some more( I feel this was a veiled threat). He continued to curse me and was completely obnoxious no matter what I said to him. He identified himself as the owner( Keith or John Whittington according to BBB) and basically said he didn't care that he had almost hit me or displayed rude behavior in front of small kids and a potential customer. I can tell you that I would rather freeze in the winter or bake in the summer before I ever call him for HVAC work. I would think twice before calling this man for service.

a driver from king mechanical services hit the back of my car and fled the scene. i saw the company name in large letters on the back of the commercial van, and i called the company. dispatch gave me the driver that was scheduled to be on that road at that time. he refused to come back to the scene. he knew it was my car because he identified it without me mentioning what car it was. a police officer arrived and called the driver. the driver came back and denied hitting me. the damage on his vehicle and the damage on my vehicle matched exactly. he then admitted he hit me. we swapped insurance, since that's all you can do in north carolina when the damage appears to be less than $1000. i filed with his COMPANY INSURANCE, and again he lied to them, saying he did not hit me. because of this, i cannot get my car repaired. KING MECHANICAL SERVICES HIRES DISHONEST AND SHADY EMPLOYEES. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.

Keith Whittington, the owner, is an excellent man. He works night and day to help his customers. It breaks his heart to see someone go without heat. Our heat broke on Christmas day of last year. I called him, thinking he could come by the day after. I got his voicemail, left a message, and he was at my house in an hour. Mind you, this was CHRISTMAS DAY!

He charges $75 an hour, but the job gets done. I don't have to call him back to fix the same problem. He has over 30 years of experience and has excellent customer service skills.

The buisness is family owned. His daughters, wife, son-in-law and father work for him. The ladies (his wife and girls) in the office are very polite and go out of their way to help me.

I reccomend King Mechanical to anyone!
