Got there before dinner crowd. Only customer in the place. Two wait staff in view. Long wait to be served. Brought me diet beverage instead of what ordered and copped attitude with me about it. Two customers came in after me and got their salad before I got mine (not any special salad), and when the person who brought out my main dish came to the table, I asked her to check on my salad. This person was polite and brought it out quickly. After taking 3 bites of main course, original waitress plopped down the ticket and I never saw her again - thank God! By this time there were 6 ladies in black at the main checkout station, plus the young woman now serving me (the one who brought out the meal). The 6 at desk were loud and gossiping, making rude comments about folks - while more customers are arriving and having to wait to be served. My 2nd waitress did not join in on the gossiping and stayed busy serving clients with good eye contact and a smile - genuine, not forced. You cannot tell by looking at folks if they will tip big or not. Maybe the first waitress thought I did not deserve prompt courteous service. Maybe she had a long bad day and was eagerly waiting to get off her shift. Maybe she thought I needed a diet drink (since I am overweight). Maybe all the other girls have no manager to encourage good service and discourage standing around with their thumbs up their butts. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. One thing is for sure...I tipped the second person as much as I paid for the entire meal. Also, keep your coat on - it's cold in there.
I usually go for lunch which the service is quick and the food is great!! The prices for what you get is a good deal. I would definitely recommend them to others who have not eaten there. I was greatly impressed with the pizza and their Stromboli. The only down sides are that the bathrooms are disgusting and the dining room could definitely use a revamp or at least a good cleaning. It seems since new management has been introduced the menu/cooking is much better.
