I moved to Fayetteville April 2010. Watched local tv re: local information. Councilwoman made statement "Fayetteville has an unemployable work force". I thought, wow that's quite a statement from a responsible local professional. I was to accompany cardiac patient 2 days later to Cape Fear Medical Center where he received EXCELLENT CARE in a timely manner--and the large waiting area was packed. THEY WERE BUSY. THEY GAVE GREAT CARE. THEY PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH STANDARDS YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM MEDICAL/NURSING PROFESSIONALS. Nextcare Urgent Care, Glenford Drive, Fayetteville made a poor impression in almost every way. The office staff was unprofessional. I have never had anyone take my driver's license, and insurance cards and not immeditately make copies and return them.I had time to complete my computer entry of my medical history. I asked for them back. "Oh, I have to scan them in yet. Was she busy? No. She was visiting with the office manager. Visiting does not mean they were discussing office business. It means they were socially visiting. Finally, I stood at the counter and said I would wait there for my personal cards. Of course that was less than a minutes work for her to pass my cards thru a scanner located in front of her on her desk and hand them to me. It seemed to offend both the receptionist and the office manager. I waited a total of 2 hours to see a physician for a very routine matter. I observed 3 patients exit after seeing the physician while I was waiting. One gentleman was quite verbal about his long wait to see the physician. Seems the waiting room was empty when he arrived also. He was given his perscriptions and "plan" quickly so he could leave. At the end of my visit, I was given another patients perscription and would have left with it, if I hadn't caught the mistake myself. Perhaps I have found the umemployable workforce in Fayetteville.

Pros: Erica was caring and listening

Cons: One star is too high a rating.

I would give this place a zero if I could. I waited with my 3 year old son at NextCare off of Glensford dr. for 3 1/2 hours before being seen. Once the doctor finally did see me, i wished i hadn't even wasted my time with them. He was extremely unhelpful. I felt as if he was disregarding any questions i had. Nobody apologized to me for any of it. I definitely won't go back there.

Pros: they have a waiting room for kids

Cons: it's fine if you dont mind waiting 3 1/2 hours...seriously.

I had used this location previously, with an excellent experience. So when I had a high fever for 4 days straight i used the online 'pre-registration' (1:45 pm) and waited for a call back to let me know when to come in. no call came. i called to confirm (2:05) and was told there were 4 people ahead of me, and they would call me 1/2 hour from appointment time. no call came. I called again for an update (4:05) and was told 'we are very busy, we will call you right back'. no call ever came. finally, i went (as a walk in) to HAYMOUNT URGENT CARE (4:30) on Bragg Blvd and was seen IMMEDIATELY (checked out at 5:10). Hours later (after picking up my Rx's and my children, having dinner, and getting my kids ready for bed) I get a phone call from Nextcare "Urgent" Care (7:14) saying they are closing in a few minutes but my name was still on their list, so would i like to schedule an appointment for tomorrow if they could fit me in?

Don't waste your time. Go to Haymount @ 1909 Bragg Blvd. And yes they take TriCare!

Pros: none

Cons: is no service better than bad service?

Pros: easy check in

Cons: long waits, some personnel aren't very polite

i was very upset that my baby could not be seen by a physician on this sunday morning after having a fever for several days....this facility would not accept tricare prime, even though the primary care physician gave a pre-referral...they claimed that they just "do not want to deal with tricare prime on the weekends"... this urgent care does not care about its patients coming through the door...even sickly babies!!!! ....and it took an hour of waiting in the waiting room until they finally admitted that they would not deal with this military insurance!!!
the lady at the front desk was smug in handling the situation and did not even apologize for the situation.
