called Carolina Appliance they came out right away. Joel had to replace a thermostat on my refrigerator. He had all the parts on his truck. I was so happy to get it repaired the same day. I had just gone to the store and bought all my meat for the week. He was so nice and he liked my dogs also. Will use them again. I am glad Plaza Appliance Mart recommended them

Called 4 days in advance - scheduled service based on a recommendation from LG. Service tech (Bill) showed up and complained about the size of the laundry room, claimed he could not fix it because the lights were out, then complained that he could not easily access the dryer, then complained ...\n\nBill left abruptly - so I called him and he explained there was no money in the job. Aren't you charging for a service call and labor.\n\nCalled and spoke with Bob (manager) he said well you weren't charged. Had to explain that was beyond the point - technican was rude, he tried every other excuse in the book - before explaining he was only in the business for the money - if my job wasn't profitable enough for him he would simply move on.\n\nI would not recommend these guys. In reading the reviews - seems like there is an issue given the May 25th review. AVOID WASTING YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY.

HORRIBLE customer service. I was called at 7:30 am to schedule a service call (having not spoke to the company before) telling me they would be there in 2 hours.\n\nWe had a bad connection and got disconnected. When they called me back the gentleman said ""Get your damn phone fixed"". Yes, I heard that.\n\nWhen I called this afternoon to schedule service I mentioned the disappointment with the call this morning. Jack (was the name I was given) said go find someone else for service, he did not want me as a customer. HOW RUDE!!!\n\nThis is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not a way to gain a new customer!!

When I called for service BOB was wonderful. He tried to help me fix it. When I could not Billy came out. He repaired my washer and dryer. He cleaned out my dryer and changed the pump on my washer. It was like old fashion service. He had all the parts and was glad to get me going. I was not treated like a number!!!

I called Carolina Appliance Service on Wednesday and told them my refrigerator was not cooling and the freezer was barely working. The Technican came to my house on Friday, was there for 5 minutes and told me he was sorry, it could not be fixed, my compressor was out. I want to say that although it was NOT the Tech's fault he could not fix the problem, I felt like the $89.00 he charged for coming out (which was suppose to include labor, was a little excessive and considering there was NO labor). I had checked around with 2 other companies who only charged $59.00 to come out, but I thought it there was a problem, the additional labor price would be justified. I asked the Tech. if he had any coupons or discounts (especially since there was nothing to repair) and he said no. I called the office to explain the situation and felt like I was bothering the individual who answered the phone. He offered (with what seemed like reservation) to send me a $10.00 check in mail. I called him back and told him not to worry about it. My check cleared overnight with their company and I have definitely learned a valuable lesson. All I would say is Do Your Homework! Check around before you make a decision like I did. I just feel like given the situation we are all in today, and as many people there are looking for work, there could have been a better discount. I am very disappointed, but also blame myself for not putting as much effort into this as I should have.

Pros: Technician was pleasant

Cons: Would not recommend

My refrigerator stopped cooling and I had no idea who to call. So I went through the yellow pages and selected Carolina Appliance Service. Initially they told me they would try to come out the same day, but called back later to say they wouldn't be able to make it until the next morning. When the technician arrived, he was very professional and immediately went to work. He quickly determined the problem, explained to me what the problem was and what had to be done to fix it. He replaced the blown out part, checked to make sure everything else was as it should be, and now my refrigerator is running great!! I am very pleased and would highly recommend their services!

I called them this morning regarding our refrigerator which was leaking at the bottom. The phone was answered promptly and courteously. I explained the problem and told them the make and model as requested. They told me that a technician would call me back for further information and as to when he could be out to the house. A technician did cal and again I explained the problem as well as the make & model. He explained he would try his best to be here around 2pm and he was prompt. However..... he looked at the fridge and told my wife that he could not repair this fridge (GE Profile) because the ""lines are very close together"" and would leak again so they would not warranty it and therefore not work on it. Recommended that we call factory service. Then he did us a VERY big favor and told my wife that he would only charge $69.00 rather the $89.00 he would have charged if he had had to fix it. My wife paid because she was alone at home and did not wish to get into a confrontation. I called the company after I got home to ask why they could not have told me that it could be a number of things like a bad valve and also that there was a possibility that the line was bad & in that case they would not be able to fix it. I could have then have made the decision as to whether or not to have them come out. The man on the phone kept talking over me advising me to keep everything documented when GE came out because he guaranteed me GE would patch the line & it would leak again. Also to put my insurance company on notice. When I finally got a chance to talk & I told him I felt scammed, he suddenly had a long distance call to answer. I suppose it's easier to make $69.00 in 5 minutes without doing any work than charge $89.00 for actually having to do some work. They advertise that they work on all makes and models, so they should have been able to work on ours. Be warned, you may needlessly spend $69.00

Very, very poor customer service - rude when questioned about fact that it has taken three weeks to procure a part - this was after failing to fix the appliance in the first place\r\nUnable or unwilling to push their supplier for parts delivery even though the manufacturer says that parts are readily available\r\nAvoid if at all possible
