If I've been out on a trip, my first stop back in Raleigh is Neomonde for a lunch box special with a warmed grilled veggie wrap, two delicious side dishes, and a pistachio baklava. Love!

If you're looking for great Middle Eastern food, look no further! This place is the diamond in the rough of Raleigh. It's reasonably priced for the college kids but it's still authentic, fresh, delicious, and the servers are great.

Looked online and ordered 6 box lunches for a group. Price was listed as $7.99. When I called, they gave me a price total that was too high. When I inquired, they said the box lunches had been $8.99 for quite some time. They would not

One of the very few place where you get really delicious food for a decently cheap price. I go there atleast once a week. The food is more than worth for the price I pay. I can't give any less than a 5 star rating to this place.

Once we paid our food we looked for a table to sit down. Each table was littered with food - under the tables was clumps of old food. The floor was sticky as I walked on it. I asked to speak with the manager twice (once at the cash

A family-run bakery/restaurant, Neomonde is a Triangle treasure! Excellent Mediterranean-style fare at reasonable prices. The grocery section has lots of cool stuff you won??t find at Food Lion, or even Whole Foods...and some things you might find at those places but at Neomonde you can get them in larger quantities, often at better prices. The restaurant section was added some years after the bakery started and the remodeling mentioned by previous reviewers has upgraded it from a minimalist afterthought to robust adequacy; if the weather is nice, there are shaded tables outside.

Then, this is your place. Prices are good. Food is healthy and not the norm.
Many varieties of breads and snacks to choose from. If you dont know what something else, you can take a sample before spending your money.
Can get crowded during lunch time but seating is usually available.

Fresh, tasty, and very easy to eat a healthy meal quickly so it's a great alternative to fast food if you're near one of the Neomonde locations. The hummus, baba ganoujh, and stuffed grape leaves are some of my favorites. The tabouli is excellent but I just happen to prefer mine with a little fresh mint, their's is all (fresh!) parsley. They also bake the only fresh pita in the triangle and sell it at a very reasonable price. The only thing I do not recommend at all is the kibbeh, it's been very dry the couple of times I've gotten it.

This place is one of my staples. The food is delicious and their desserts are wonderful. It is more like a cafeteria-style restaurant where you walk up to the counter, order your food, pay for it, and bring it to the table yourself so if you are looking for a romantic spot or want to be waited on this is not the place. But otherwise this is definitely the place to go. I can't say much about the service though. They try to get you in and out quickly and some of the servers behind the counter are nicer than others. However, considering that you only have to deal with them for literally 1-3 minutes and the food is so good, it isn't an issue. hmm...maybe this is Raleigh's "Soup Nazzi" equivalent! I go here regularly and at prime eating times it is hard to find an open seat. I always see families there. Good vegetarian options. They have sampler plates and the prices are reasonable. I have really liked everything I tried so far but their shawarma, so I wouldn't recommend that particular dish. I am not sure what the other reviewer was talking about when they said this place is expensive. If you order their most expensive meals- a sampler of 4 dishes it is $8 or $9. If you go for a falafel ($4) or a wrap it is less than $5. I don't consider being able to eat an entire meal for $10 or less expensive.

You won't find better Mediterranean cuisine in Raleigh. It can be a little confusing when you walk in, but you usually just follow the big line in front of you. The hummus and baba ghanooj are amazing. Lots of choices, and its all a great value. Try try try!

The people were really nice, but not very helpful in explaining what to do for a first-timer. Both my roommate and I got sick from the food we ate, which we think was due to the spinach pies. (We also expected the spinach pies to be more like spanakopita, but it was more like a piece of flat bread with spinach and feta on top. Not as good as I expected.) However, they had a lot of options and different types of food. I will definitely give it another shot.

This place was stuck in quite the unassuming place, across the railroad behind Waffle House on Beryl. Nice outside dining area, and a good looking, though basic, interior with an ordering, dining, and grocery area. The food came quickly. I ordered a lamb shawarma, which was pretty good, though I've had better in the area. For the price, it could have been a little larger. The pistacio baklava was excellent. Not really a bad value though it seems pricey, and pretty good overall.

I remember this place before they made all of the upgrades a few years ago. It was a wonderful place to get a good, healthy meal on a grad school budget. Although the portions got a little smaller after the renovation, the quality of food didn't suffer at all -- everything is great! The service is equally excellent. Even at $3 a gallon for petrol, I'm willing to make the 25 minute trek from N. Raleigh to eat here.

Having a party ? Stop by this place an pick up pita and hummus and baba ganoush(sp?). Also some grape leaves and baklava. Or fix a plate for middle eastern food for your dinner. Be ready to pay for it, however ... as it's quite expensive ... but worth it. If you two of you each order a dinner plate expect to pay $20. There are a couple of tables for you to sit down and eat. However, we always take it out.

While not vegan, the food is more vegatable -oriented than most. The postions are reasonable and you get 3 -4 items on a single plate so for not much money you get a lovely plate of delicious food.

I had always thought of this place as just a deli so I never thought twice about going there for lunch. I was told though that they served Shawerma, which I've been craving since leaving the Bay Area. Excellent Lentil Rice, tasty Shawerma's, decadent desserts, tasty salads (Tabouli). I'm a regular at both the one in Morrisville and in Raleigh.

Neomonde makes the best Middle Eastern food in Raleigh! Their bread is to die for! Has a 'grocery' type part for items to buy. Their sweets are also delicious. Good quality at great prices!

Neomonde excells in the area of making bread and sweets. Me and my mom visit here every once in a while. I love it here ever since they did the expansion. It feels nice and comfy. I come here whenever i need to get my mom something, such as some cheese.

Neomonde is a local landmark run by Lebanese brothers. Their food is delicious, authentic and fresh. As you enter the establishment you see a deli case filled with different choices, most of which are excellent. My personal favorites happen to be the tabbouleh, hummus and falafel. Other favorites are lamb shawarma and their chicken salad.

Their pastry selection is also top-notch. My favorite item is the pistachio baklava. The nammora and mammoul are also excellent.

The other side of the store is also a small specialty market where you can buy ingredients to make dishes at home. They have a good deal on bulk spices.

After spending two months in Jordan and returning to college in NYC, I was horribly disappointed by the lack of good middle eastern food in the New York area. Then, after coming home to Raleigh, I was astonished to find the best arabic food i'd had since Jordan!!!! NC should be proud to have such an amazing example of great middle eastern food, and i only wish they would open up a second location in new york! :-)

I've eaten a lot of hummus, and this is the best...the falafel is just as good and the dolmas are wonderfully fresh and flavorful. This is my favorite place to pick up a picnic lunch! Their pita is unbeatable (try the sesame) and the date mamoul are not to be missed. The remodeling is fabulous and has really made the atmosphere appealing.

but as close as I'm gonna get outside of home. Everyday a different feature dish, and a great place to eat during a fast. Some great vegan dishes, such as Mjuderra, or rice and lentils. Yummy!

Also Mounir (one of the owners) is friendly and helpful. Want some of the latest Arabic music? Or just some hard to find ingredient? Some True Olives? This is the place to go.

If you enjoy it, say "Shoe-krahn" on your way out! ("THanks")

This is a great meal deal where vegetarians can eat just as well as meat-eaters. Everything--from the kibbeh to the hummus to the spinach pies--is worth trying. The baklava and other fresh-baked goodies are heavenly endings to a sweet meal. Before you leave, take home a bag or two of the freshly baked pita bread
