Atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is super friendly. More importantly though, the food is magnificent! I highly recommend the Lamb Vindaloo as well as the Chicken Mango. The Gralic Naan is also incredible!

I discovered this restaurant about a month a half ago and since then me and my girlfriend have been back about 9 times. The chef brings level of hospitality that is unknown to the average american. Bringing Indian wisdom and delicious food to your table, this is the ideal place to experience your ethnic cuisine.

This is a place were you can let the food speak for itself.

My husband who is from Hyderabad, India and I (American) found this restaurant recently. He was thrilled to see they had Hyderabadi Bryani (specialty rice w/ meat, chicken or vegetable dish from Hyderabad). He was ecstatic to find that it was cooked exactly the way his relatives cooked it. We sampled several other dishes and the buffet and all were very tasty and original. Mango lassi's were delicious as well. Prices were good, the space is roomy, with flat screen TV's showing Bollywood movies. All in all, a very good find. Will eat there once a week.

My friend and I have been coming here a few times to eat lunch and each time has been really good!

The Chef prepares each entree from scratch using authentic Indian recepies.

The Afghan chicken is excellent and is also prepared fresh daily! They bring fresh Naan to you upon request and they even have a great garlic naan! This restaurant has a great mix of meat and vegetable dishes. You can taste curry and a little spice in each of his dishes.

The Chef is extremely personable and will cook anything on his menu for you upon request. He also goes out of his way to give each customer the WoW! factor! The best part of all is his price is really affordable for the quality that you get!

I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I've eaten at this restaurant (Chefs of India, 748-K East Chatham St., Cary, NC 27511) three times now, and I can't wait to eat there again! I can't remember all the Indian names for the dishes, but the one with baked eggplant is heavenly. I asked for spicy-hot and it certainly was super spicy (well I did specify that). The different kinds of breads are fun to try. They have buffet on weekends. If you are a fan of Indian foods, you will want to check out this place for SURE.

We had them cater a event at the temple for middle school function. The food was excellent, the chef was there personally, and there was plenty of food. The event was a success beacuse the student enjoyed the food so much they had seconds. I have also enjoyed taking the family there, food is always consistently good and so is the service.I recommended this restaurant for catering, and I will use them always.

I found this place a few months ago and have been many times since with my husband. We both love indian food and this place has some of the best in the area. The chef is very pleasant and always comes out to ask us how spicy we would like our food prepared. They have a large menu with a lot of variety and a large tasty selection of bread.

Had taken our American friends to this place. The food was reasonable. Prices were bit on the higher side. There was no dinner buffet available, so had to order from the menu, which turned out to be a costly affair. It is housed in a small space, feels congested. The service was bad. I would not recommend going there.

i have never written a restaurant review before - but i felt as if i needed to do it. a friend and i recently had dinner at what i thought was Suchi indian restaurant, but it had become the chefs of india restaurant.

they must have all new cooks because our food was either bad tasting or simply tasteless. i will say that the plain basmati rice that came with our dishes was good tasting and well prepared. but that was the only thing.

unfortunately, i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

.

First, let me say that I happened upon this place by accident and I have never eaten at an Indian Restaurant before. I was quite surprised and pleased with food. BUT....it is quite sad that a business feels the need to bolster it's standing by writing their own reviews!!! And it is all so obvious. Several of them are written by the same person, whose English and Grammar is not quite polished. And all of the "Five-Star" Reviews are posted by people with just one review !!!! Another dead give-away!

Come On People! Build your business on a good Reputation...not fake reviews! ...For this, I give you One-Star!

We just enjoyed the Saturday evening buffet and were impressed by the huge variety of culinary delights offered. The food was very tasty and well seasoned. Although I am not vegan, I overheard the chef pointing out the numerous dishes that are vegan. The chef and wait staff were very attentive to us and we were able to chat with the chef. A nice touch. We will go dine there again.

Extremely friendly chef and wait staff. As an Indian by birth I found the food to be truly authentic and fresh. It was a Monday evening and there was no one else in the restaurant. He came out to talk with us and ask how we liked the food. He spent time explaining different spices and methods. After the meal he invited us into the kitchen and we were given a tour of all the items he uses and the cooking utensils. The cleanliness was extremely impressive. We were visiting friends in the Cary area and we envy that there is a restaurant of this quality nearby.

What a great surprise! We went to the former Suchi location for the lunch buffet and were be greeted by the chef/owner Kiran. He was so friendly and attentive. The food was all excellent and he even made something special for my teenage son. He encouraged us to try all of the delicious buffet items and I can honestly say, I liked them ALL. The best part of the meal, though, in addition to the hot naan brought to the table was the amazing gulab jamoon. I have had this treat many times and this was overall the BEST I have ever tasted. His rich sugar syrup is laced with cloves and is so deliciously sweet and rich with the tender dough floating in it, easy to cut with the spoon and devour! I can't wait to go back with the whole family, see you there:)

The food is very delicious and have quite a spread of choices in the weekend buffet. We won the free lunch buffet, and could not wait to use it. The food is very delicious and authentic delicacies were on menu. The owner/chef Mr.Kiran Kumar is very friendly person as well. We enjoyed our meal.

We would definitely like to eat there very soon. Would recommend it anyone, having a taste of Indian food, irrespective of the regional(north/south) India food.

Delicious Indian food... some of the best I have ever had. They have a nice lunch buffet with a good variety of items. The food is cooked in a style from Hyderabad area of India.

This is in the former location of another Indian restaurant that was called Suchi India, so don't be confused if you see the name "Suchi India" on the building.

This place has great authentic Indian food and also a lot of vegetarian food. It's a hole in the wall type of place that seems to have attracted quite a following among business lunch-ers and local Indians. The lunch buffet usually has a wide variety of food that one might not get in traditional Northern Indian restaurants. The service is pretty good, the food prices are competitive with other Indian restaurants in the area, and we've never had to wait to get a seat. Do not place a take out order there, it takes them 45 minutes to get it prepared and they won't let you get a take out buffet like other Indian places do!

PROS: wide variety of Indian foods, lots of vegetarian foods, short wait
CONS: decor is lacking (but getting better I think) no take out buffet
