I have taken my animals to this Clinic for twenty-five years (a total of nine cats). Both Dr Hovis and Spencer are wonderful but I mostly see Dr Hovis. He is the example of what all doctors should be! He has helped me make hard decisions over the years and I trust him completely. I have called him all hours of the day and night, he is always available to me when I need him and he never acts annoyed when I interupt his off-duty hours. This clinic is world class and I recommend them highly!

I agree that the front desk staff needs to work on their customer service skills. They're not very friendly. And on one occasion I went in to purchase heartworm preventative for my dog. I gave the person at the counter the dosage I wanted to buy and she took it upon herself to give me (and charge me for) the additional dosage that she thought I needed for my dog's size. She didn't tell me she was doing that, she didn't ask if I had the additional at home, nor if I realized my dog weighed more than the dosage I purchased. It just so happened that Dr. Hovis OK'd the dosage I was buying. I also don't like that their front counter is much too high and makes it difficult to use to write a check. But it's not all bad - I like Dr. Hovis a lot. On my first visit he gave me his cell phone number in case I had any questions or concerns. That proved he has his patients' best interests at heart.

They are a member of AAHA, and that's the primary reason we chose them for our 3 cats and 1 dog. We've never had a problem with their staff, and have been pleased with the care our "extended family" receives.

The doctors and staff at Dickson will treat your pets as if they are their own. I think they go beyond what is expected of them, not because they have to, but because I think they truly love and care about what they do and it shows.

I went with a friend to Dickson Animal Clinic. We took her cats in for their yearly check up. I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff. The doctor was very informative. He took time to answer questions in a plain, easy to understand way. I would highly recommend him. The pricing is in line with other vets in the area.

The staff at the counter could definetly use some people skills. My experience with the kennel was not a good one. My two dogs were not placed side by side like i had asked. I was told that i did not need to bring there beds because they had them. Which by the bald and bright red irritated skin on the elboys i have a hard time believing. The dogs were skinny and stressed when we picked them up and have also got kennel cough. This was from 4.5 days of boarding. This is not the first time my dogs have been kenneled. It was the first time here.
