Ratings_icons Island Dyes is an experience

It was an experience being in that Store. There is a diversity of people working there. Some help some don't. The curly headed guy took time to show the difference in glass to me and my wife. Some people seem to care just about the money he seemed to care about getting us the right piece. Their local stuff was incredible.

Ratings_icons Island Dyes is the best!

I loved it. We are from Ohio and i loved the atmosphere and service. We were helped by an intriguing young man. We bought a handblown pipe & love it. In Ohio, we pay more for less quality. We will definately shop Island Dyes again. We've told ppl about it. We really liked the demonstation with the hand blown pieces. We got to meet the creator and he was very cool & extremely talented. Thanks!!See ya next summer!!!!!

I have been going to the Outer Banks for the last five years. Every time I go, Island Dyes is always one of the first places I visit. Seeing the many different employees throughout the years, I have to agree that the curly haired juvenile that would claim to be the owner is annoying and arrogant. Now that he's gone however, my recent trip to the store was very pleasant. It was nice to meet one of the real owners (apparently he has a twin) of the wonderful Tye-Dye shop that has served me well on the beautiful outer banks.

went into island dyes in kill devil hills, the boy who claimed to be the owner could have cared less if I was helped or not. He wanted to hear the surfing report. He must be a trust fund baby who does not need to make money. He was curt unprofessional and stupid.

Ratings_icons A terrible experience

My husband and I and our 17 year old daughter visited the store to inquire about belly button piercing. The young man claiming to be the owner of the shop is about 20 years old. He was extremely rude and disrepectful. It was actually a frighting experience. A store like this should not be permitted in a family oriented vacation town.
