5 Stars: Matthews Animal Clinic has a very friendly and caring staff (by Brenda D.)

Matthews Animal Clinic is the best. I have been able to get immediate/emergency appointments with them when I couldn't get one with the vet I'd used for more than 10 years. Needless to say, MAC is my vet now. If you want to feel like your pet is loved go there. If you don't care visit the vet further down the street from them. When it comes to a friendly staff, MAC is the one - hands down.

4 Stars: Matthews Animal Clinic (by Heather E.)

We have been going to this vet clinic for over 7 years. The staff is very friendly and it's easy to get an appointment. We had an incident a few years ago when my dog got very sick. I thought it was poisoning and took him straight to this clinic. They kept him over night and called me with several updates while he was there. I really think my dog's health was top priority to them. I would recommend them to anyone.

5 Stars: Wonderful caring vets (by Ken T.)

The staff at Matthews Animal clinic are great. I had one of my dogs, poor fella, develop Chylothorax. The vets ( I saw Mary Getz & Anne Meadows) helped work out a treatment plans and worked with me to help Parsifal. When the condition turned for the worse they helped me get him into the Veterinary hospital at the Vet School at Univ of Georgia for advanced treatment.

I take all my dogs there still even though it is almost an hour away. A good vet that will work with you on treatment option is a great thing.

4 Stars: Great Vets! (by cheryl r.)

I've had my dogs seen by each of the staff Vets at some time over the past 7 years, and they're all great!! Very kind, compassionate, and gentle with my dogs. They call back when they say they will, and they keep my dogs in great health. I've had great experience boarding my dogs there as well. Check them out!

3 Stars: This is my pet's vet (by Constance S.)

Vets in this clinic are caring toward the animals and seem to have a genuine love for their chosen profession. Vaccines and physicals are quite pricey though, although occasionally rabies vaccines are discounted. I happened to find out about this by accident though. Would have been nice to get a postcard about it. I did get a sympathy card once though after one of my pets died. Vets can be a bit pushy about certain services they offer - i.e. teeth cleaning. The vet pressured me for years to have dental services done on my dog. There was never any explanation of why it would be medically necessary. I do think that they are pushy though because they are thinking about the welfare of the animal more than than the fee they will collect.

PROS: Easy to get appointments when I need it
CONS: High Prices, sometimes pushy about extra services
