I lived in Endicott for a number of years (home/birthplace of the spiedie - NOT nearby Binghamton). I remember many of Sundays stopping at Jim Roma's on Nanticoke for fresh, warm Italian bread and then home to make our own version of a sub sandwich. Great bread and good sheet pizza. His relation, Felix Roma, had the other Roma Bakery on Page and sold his bread to the local grocery stores. Of course, in the fall, after stopping at Jimmy Roma's, a stop just up the street to the Cider Mill (owned by the Ciotoli's) for fresh cider.

Being a transplanted upstate NYer (Endicott) I was raised on Roma's bread and as a child spent many a Friday night enjoying Roma's pizza with family and friends. The bread and pizza Michael and Lisa and the rest of the crew at Roma's Cary create is actually better than what I remember as a child. Forget the other posers who claim "real" Italian, if you're looking for the best Italian bread, pizza, pork spiedies, and subs, Roma's IS the real thing. There's none better.

Pros: Fresh-baked bread, Sicilian pizza and lots of smiles

Great Italian bread and baguettes. I wasn' t a big fan of the pizza. It was a thin sicilian style pie. I had much higher expectations.

I love Roma's. The staff is wonderful. Every time I walk in there, they greet me by name. They make conversation and make me feel very welcome. I am currently pregnant and they ask every time how I am feeling, how things are going and truly have great hospitality. I really make me feel like a valued guest and not just another transaction. Their food is awesome!! I love the pizza; a sheet pizza for $16, who can beat it... My favorite is their Italian sandwich.. The bread tops it all off... I have not found a better bread in all my life, no exaggerations!!

Chicken parmigiana sandwich is sooo good! This place is always really busy during lunch hour as all of the locals eat there (including the high school students!). The price is average for the area (about 7 dollars), but the food is outstanding. I have never gotten anything there that wasn't good. The downfall to this restaurant is there hours. They close very early during the week, around 4. Parking is limited, so if you are withing walking distance you need to walk there.

this is one of our favorite places. It's great atmosphere for kids, lunch during the week or whatever. We've even done takeout. the pizza is a great value and is NY style. If you want to try another Binghamton, NY specialty - try a speedie sandwich.

This place is between the tracks and across from the train station. They have the best pizza. The lunch time pizza special is a great deal. 2 slices and a drink for $5.00; add $.75 for a topping. These aren't the ordinary slices; they are 4" by 8" each with a thick crust.

Roma's is a great place for everyone. The food is out this world, and the portions are just right. The bread is fresh and soft. Also with there prices its a steal.

Thanks for remembering me of home, I grow up in Binghamton the home of speidies. We came to Cary to do some shopping and had to stop in, too see and have a sub. We will be back again.

I grew up in Endicott, NY - birthplace of spiedies - as did the owners of this resturant. I'm told that they're friends of the Jim Roma family (Jim Roma's bakery).
If you grew up on Roma's Italian bread and Lupos spiedies, then welcome home. Romas of Cary offers spiedie subs, Lupos marinade and in-house baked Italian bread that is second to none in the Southern Tier. Their pizza is dead-on and the lunch special of 2 slices (that's really more like 4 traditional slices of sheet pizza) and a drink for $4 w/ tax can't be beat.
The store is on Harrison ave, directly across from the train station, right next to Harrison's/Pure Gold.
Who cares about atmosphere, this place has the best Italian food around.

Thought the atmosphere was cozy, nice little joint to relax and get a great sandwhich.
