If Citysearch allowed me to give less than 1 star, I'd do it. This place is awful. They catered my wedding, if you can call it catering. They showed up more than an hour and a half late, didn't serve the post-wedding snacks they were

You may not think much of a restaurant snuggled behind a gas station, but this restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in Morrisville. Especially where the choices for lunch or dinner are H**ters and a very smoky Cracker Barrel. I'm not very adventurous, so I stick to the curry or korma, but their lunch buffet is outstanding. It's a nice guilty pleasure for lunch or for a quick meal pick-up on the way home from work.

Best Indian restaurant this side of Chapel Hill.

Pros: Buffet, Price

Cons: Location

.

We went on a Friday night and had a choice to order off the menu or get the buffet. This has to be the only place where the bufffet at $11.95 is the same price, if not cheaper than the entrees on the menu. So of course I would get the special Friday night buffet which was delicious. A wide variety of the standard fare. It is rather hard to find this place. Going south on 40, turn left when you see the Mobil gas station as it's just behind that.

Pros: Good food.

Cons: Not the best service. Took awhile to get water refills and to pay.

.

Worst food, very expensive and bad service all add upto cheating. This is the worst ever restaurant I have been to, be it Indian or otherwise. Please don't go.

I LOVE this place for their lunch buffet. Yes, it is $8 and you would make yourself sick trying to get your money's worth, but it's just sooooo tasty! I especially love the Tikka Marsala and the Chicken Curry as well as the Samosas (sp?). SO quick and so yummy always.

We frequent this restaurant on a regular basis and we are consistently pleased with our food, which we agree is among the best Indian in the triangle. The samosas are great and the Chicken Tikka Masala and Shaahi Paneer are excellent. During our most recent visit, we noticed the menu had been expanded with a number of new dishes. The location is convenient to RTP and the airport. It tends to be fairly empty in the evenings, but busy during the lunch rush. The ambience isn't anything exciting, but it is nicely decorated and clean.

I have been to lots of the Indian restaurants in the world. I saw these review on this websites and I was eager to go to India Palace. Recently I tried India Palace and am of the opinion that it is not the best Indian restaurant at all. Almost everything we had was not wonderful, the staff was not nice, and the service was also bad. Chicken tandorri was smell bad. Nun and parotha were not good. I'm sorry, but I never recommend this restaurant.

I have been to most of the Indian restaurants in the area. I recently tried India Palace and am of the opinion that it is the best Indian restaurant in the triangle. Everything we had was wonderful, the staff was nice, the service was great, and the restaurant was clean. It is not in a very impressive location, but do not let that discourage you.

First impression... the place looks like a hole in the wall in a little area behind a gas station: don't be fooled, once we entered the establishment and were seated... we noticed how wonderfully decorated the restaurant was. We ordered Malai Kofta (my fav) and Chicken Tikka Masala (a good standard). The food was excellent... complex Indian spiciness that can't be faked. Some small details: the vegie samosas are simple, yet pair very well with the spiciness of the chutnies which are fresh and well prepared. The presentation of the meal was also very good. As I've said before, we've been to alot of restaurants and although this is my first visit to India Palace, I can put this one tied for tops with New Dehli in San Francisco. If you want one of the best thus far, go to India Palace.
