I had *just* bought a new house at the end of November of this past year (2012), and since the well water sample results came back after the end of the due diligence period, I was really alarmed to get a dire-sounding letter from Orange County stating that the presence of coliform meant I shouldn't be drinking my well water. I was dreading the $$$ of chlorinating the well and also pretty nervous about finding there was something wrong with a system that was new to me and I didn't yet know very much about.

I called Mechanical Solutions, and the tech who made the visit, Jason, was super knowledgeable. He was patient and helpful as I followed him around and asked lots of questions, and I felt like I was getting his honest opinions about whether something was truly necessary or a just a good idea, should be done right now or was an expense that could wait, etc.

I'm leery about feeling like a business' rep is trying to upsell me or take advantage of my lack of familiarity with a subject, and I'll go out of my way to avoid those businesses in the future. If Jason had shown up and told me that chlorinating my well was necessary, I wouldn't have had any way of knowing there might be other options, which was part of my nervousness.

He showed up, said he saw I had coliform present but had a UV treatment system in place, and said there were a couple of cheaper fixes he'd like to check for before we committed to chlorinating. There ended up being an easy, much cheaper solution, and I was and still am SO happy with the experience overall.

I know mostly people write reviews when they're pissed off, and tons of happy people never say a word. But I think it's significant that I had planned on avoiding having my water treatment system serviced at all -- I knew I could learn the required maintenance easily enough and just do what's needed by myself.

But since the rep obviously really knew his stuff (his knowledge, not just of the systems involved, but understanding of the chemistry behind it all, really impressed me), I realized that on a regular visit, he would notice if something was wrong or was showing signs that it might fail soon, and that's where my plan for learning the maintenance tasks falls short.

So I decided that since I found a company that does a great job and I feel I can really trust, I'm actually delighted to say I'll be sticking with them for routine visits. When I consider the potential damage and costs involved in something going really wrong with a well water system, I feel the peace of mind of having them on the job is totally worth the small yearly fee for a check-up and maintenance on the system.

I had Mechanical Solutions Inc. come to my house because my existing water softener had not been serviced since installation 10 years ago. We were experiencing trouble and I was not able to figure out why on my own. I called MS Inc. and they sent Tyler Courtney out to service my equipment. Tyler was very knowledgeable and also very friendly and helpful. He worked hard while he was there and found several things wrong he was able to point out and repair. He helped me understand what was wrong and also explained to me how to operate my system. Tyler made a follow up visit to repair some additional things he found wrong with my well that were not part of the original problem. He did an awesome job both times! I have found a company for as long as I own my house that I will use! What a go Tyler!

We had years of water trouble with our well water and had spent a considerable sum with a prior company to no avail.
I finally decided to replace our system and interviewed numersous reps.
The rep from Mechanical Solutions (Tyler Courtney) impressed me as being knowledgeable, professional and hard working. Unlike many of the companies in this type of business I did not recieve a "hard sell" or a lot of slick fast-talk.
To be honest, my only worry was that Mechanical Solutions was the cheapest bid that I got. However, we decided to go with them and are very glad that we did!
The system was installed in a timely fashion and has worked great.
The system has been excellent and finally after years of water problems we can drink our water and it tastes great.
