Had a very negative experience here this year. Found an SUV that I liked, but upon sitting down to negotiate a price I discovered that they had a dealer "fee" of $500 tacked on for absolutely no reason. The vehicle was already overpriced by about $1000 according to KBB and Edmunds. So I asked him to come down $500, and was told that they "don't negotiate". Mmmm kay.... so I got up and left, and told them to call me if he changed his mind. Well of course the next day he starts calling, and when I answered he tells me that he's got a lady coming to buy the car that night and paying sticker price, but that he has a similar vehicle that he'd like me to look at. My gut told me that this was just a sales strategy to make me feel remorseful for losing the car, that there probably wasn't anyone buying that vehicle. So I followed my gut and didn't go back. Well, two weeks later I log on and check their website, and wouldn't you know it, that same car is STILL there.

My advice to anyone is to steer clear of this place. They are overpriced, and in my experience they were dishonest. You don't want to buy a used car from a dishonest person.

Instead of going here I'd recommend checking out Lee's Auto in Clayton, NC. They have a far better selection, the cars are priced fairly, and the people there are super nice and honest.

I wanted to take a moment and express my sincere appreciation to Ken Jones and Tim Murray. They were both friendly and professional and so helpful when I recently purchased a 2008 Cadillac CTS from Deacon Jones Auto Park.
The business transaction was handled in a satisfactory and accurate manner and I was treated with the utmost respect from both individuals. Time even took one-on-one time with me to show me how to use different features on my vehicle. Once again, I want to thank both of you for making this first-time visit to your dealership a truly good one!

My Deacon Jones Auto Park Review: think Jeanie is the greatest. I am not a habitual customer, so you can imagine how nice it is for her to remember me on sight and the correct way to spell my name. She is so very helpful in getting my car in and fixed as quickly as possible. I know the techs have to be on the ball to find the problems so quick and get them fixed. I greatly appreciate not having my car sitting there for days and no solution to whatever the problem is. I hope you know what a jewel you have in Jeanie. She has that special touch of making you feel very welcome and that you are very important no matter how small your problem is. I do not know who the tech was but I appreciate their work. Just in case you are interested the young man, Brent, that worked so hard with me on buying my car was WONDERFUL. I am a very satisfied customer from sales lot to service dept.

I did my homework for over a year. was not happy with 2010 models from ford or chevy so I waited for 2011. I drove the new fords SUV midsize and compared to chevy equinox. Even though there are tradeoffs for the $ equinox is the best buy as a whole. Got mine, mostly for our business, The Petite Poochie, for our business and transporting the puppies and products. I have had nothing but the great service, patience, and workability from Tim Murry at Deacon Jones Auto Park in Smithfield. I was treated with respect and not BS'ed as a woman. I did my homework and for the questions I did have they answered with confidance. If they did not know something they told me and got the answer... no hee hawing. Not sure who the other person delt with named Andy that was not up to par but my experience was great with Tim Murry. I would go back again. Happy and Raydar of The Petite Poochie (along with mom and dad) are very happy with our experience and product.

I live over 2 hours from this auto dealership, but after seeing a vehicle online that interested me, I called and gave all info over phone and got approved before ever going to look at the car so there would be no issues if I liked it. I loved the car when I saw and drove it and decided to go ahead with it. Andy had told me what info to bring with me and what my interest and payments would be before I arrived. Process went smoothly at first and then I was told that the payment had went up $100. Interest rate went up as well to an all time high. I asked about this and was under the understanding that all was approved before I made the trip because that was what I was told. Andy tries to tell me that he does not even know the interest rate because they can't give out that info.(HELLO) I AM THE ONE BUYING THE VEHICLE. I HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW. He did finally bring it to me after lying to me about everything he had said before. I was very disappointed with this dealership and their tactics. NO HONESTY AT THIS CAR LOT. I can not understand how people in this day and time do not take their jobs serious and can not be honest! Word of mouth is always the best medicine when recommending businesses. I would definitly tell others to buy elsewhere.

Very pleased with how the sale was handled by Reece and the sales manager. I felt very comfortable and not pressured into buying.

Very nice, and treated well. Delivered my vehicle to my home after it was serviced and cleaned up. I would recommend this dealership and Reece to others.

Being in the military I have purchased vehicles across the world and Deacon Jones is hands down the best with customer service and satisfaction that we have ever had. Both Dodge & GMC's we own were purchased from Deacon Jones!

We bought a new 2010 GMC Terrain at Deacon's. It took over 3 hours to buy the vehicle. That was the first of many red flags. Once we looked at the odometer we saw that the vehicle had be driven from Georgia to Smithfield and so there was 300 miles on the vehicle when we got it. (Of course no money off the vehicle but more money on it because they had to go get it. Its not like they were going to make any money off of it anyways ha. About 3 weeks after we bought the vehicle we found out we were having twins, so we needed to take the vehicle back and get rid of the payment since we had two older vehicles that were paid off. So we called the saleman and asked what to do to get rid of it and we got the answer that we could sale it back for 21,750 with only 4k miles on it. When we got in there it took about 30-45 minutes to get help. Once we got help it took them 45 minutes to look at the vehicle to see if everything was ok. (its not like we had it 5 years or anything) Once they evaluated it Craig sat down with us and told us they could not give us 21,750 but they could give us 21,000 because the rebates were coming out on Thursday September 9th. I go and look today and there are still no rebates for the 2010 Terrains on September 17th. (per autobuyguide.com and automotive.com.) Again they took advantage of me and my situation so I would advise you to never deal with them for a car. In another case my wife bought a 2005 GMC Denali from them in 2007 and when it left the lot it had not been inspected or had the oil changed. I did not notice until I went through a traffic stop in Wilsons Mills and I got a ticket for it only 2 weeks after it leaving the lot. I called Deacon's and nothing was done to help me but with the backing of the DA's office things got handled. So again if you shop with Deacons do it at your own risk. I will say I appreciate Tim Murray for his help in trying to help me better the situation. If you are going to buy a car there he is the man to see. (He was not the man who sold the vehicle to me and helped me after I went and sold the vehicle back. Its not his fault the people he works for dont do good business.)

We bought a used Ford Explore from Deacon about 2 years ago, it was the WORST experience I have ever encountered. There was a problem with the visors and we had to get them replaced, we set up an appointment....and to make a long story short never get them installed and had to do it our selves, our truck later broke down (about 2 months after buying it) and they wouldn't do anything about it. Horrible customer service, Horrible experience, I would NEVER recommend my worst enemy to buy a car from Deacon.
