I belonged for a year and never got in the swing of it. I had just moved from Maryland and belonged to a small family owned gym. SportsCenter is family owned but it is big. I felt that it was too coorporate for my taste. I ususally went to the spin classes. However, SportsCenter allows people to reserve bikes with towels for friends. They are not removed until five minutes before class starts.
There were many times I would show up for class 20 minutes prior only to find three people on bikes and the rest covered with towels. I complained and nothing changed... so I did not renew my membership.
All in all it is a good gym I just did not get my money's worth from it.

Looking for a "real" gym? Take a look at Sportscenter Athletic Club. I joined a few years ago, and would never even consider going anywhere else!
Indoor and outdoor pools, basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts, racquetball courts, fitness, weightlifting, aerobics, cycling, a health spa, tanning, massage therapy, a nursery, a game room, even a juice bar are just some of the amenities offered here!
The staff is unbelieveably courteous and knowledgeable, and the hours are great.
The price may seem a little high, but think about what you are comparing it to. By the way, this is the best time of year to get a great discount on a membership!
See you there!
