Vision martial arts does not live up to what it says. They gave my daughter a orange belt without so much as a test or even any specific instruction. If I went to them right now, they would not be able to tell me how to earn the next belt

My son is taking martial arts here. He loves it very much. I believe that this place is great for kids and adults alike. It teaches our children self discipline as well as self respect and to respect others. My son has lots of problems

I couldn't be happier at Vision! My son has been taking classes for 2 years with a goal of becoming a black belt. He has found a home at Vision. The instructors are wonderful with the students and I love the structure my son has learned. With core classes almost every night my son has the flexibility to come on different nights to accommodate his other sports practices.

This place is all about making the next dollar. They push the parents to spend more money on the next best program, and they try to tie you in to extended contracts. How in the heck can you commit an 8 year old to a 2 year contract? The instructors are professional salesmen and they are trained more in sales then they are in the actual art of Taekwondo.

Pros: NONE

Cons: MONEY HUNGRY, INEXPERIENCED INSTRUCTORS

My children (5 and 3) really responded well to the teachings of discipline and respect. If I need their attention, I can call "set position" at any time and they snap to attention! That has been the most valuable thing we've gained from Vision Martial Arts. While the review below is true, it needs to be balanced with the fact that they're willing to start training children with these wonderful traits at such young ages (many other schools won't). And that's worth something to me.

My child took classes at Vision Martial Arts in Apex for several months. There is high pressure to sign a contract for the "Black Belt Leadership Program" and to recruit friends to join. It all seems very exciting until you realize they are learning very little, yet all students still advance to the next belt every 2-3 months. Anyone considering their program should attend a graduation first to see that many students at even the higher belt levels are clearly unsure of the movements. I observed a very young child who rarely participated in class and did very little at the graduation, yet still advanced to the next belt with her siblings. It's wonderful that they have a goal of teaching children to become black belts, but if the students don't have the skills to go along with it the belt is meaningless.

On the positive side, they do stress manners, respect and personal responsibility. Each child has a "job sheet" where they work with their parents to keep track of their chores, homewook, personal care, etc. on a weekly basis.

Overall I found their classes quite expensive and did not appreciate the high pressure sales tactics.

This is a great place to have your children to not only train for their Black Belt, but to also build confidence and leadership skills. The staff is very friendly and they have a variety of Black Belt training tracks that your child can take depending on their personality. They do a good job stressing the importance of developing your child's academic, social, discipline skills so that they can be successful individuals. Majida A.
